Daybreak

Another week gone by.  And like last time, it feels like a blur.  Last Monday seems like it was forever ago.  It's amazing that when you work, you seem to be stuck in the time warp and you can't seem to get out.  But word is that I may actually get a vacation this summer.  So that thought keeps me going.  And the cash keeps flowing to keep my interests on a high.

Just thirty minutes ago, I completed the final season of Battlestar Galactica.  Like I said in earlier posts, I sorta had a long period without watching an episode due to the fact that the seasons are so expensive.  But recently I have gotten gift cards from graduation.  I figured since it wasn't really my money that I was spending, why not go all out and buy the rest of the seasons.  It cost $75, but it was worth every penny.

Unlike other shows, who drag out shows way after they should be cancelled and slowly crippling the image, Battlestar Galactica had the writers and team to make such a great show and leave the fans happy after only 4 seasons.  Everything was written so well, and you are glued to the screen from the first episode.

I remember when my dad bought the first season when he was making cheap, impulsive buys on the internet.  He gave it to me and said enjoy.  I figured if he was able to get it so cheap, then it probably wasn't worth buying.  While the first episode was somewhat weird and hard to understand at some parts, you really couldn't help but watch another episode.

And here I am now, after watching the final episode, feeling sad that the show had to end, but happy that there was a show that really touched me.

'Daybreak', the 3-part finale, kept me on my toes the entire time.  It turned the well rounded cast and storyline to a brilliant whole new level, and sent the show out with a bang!!  Probably one of my top 10 best finales ever.  It covered everything from good vs. evil, to civilized allies, to religious revelations, to emotional deaths.  It even took a big risk, and included controversial topics that many scientists have debated over decades.

It also makes you wonder about things about our own life.  It makes you wonder about the obstacles that our ancestors had to covercome to create this modern civilization that we live in today, and also take for granted.  It helps us realize that what we have today could be taken away at any moment, and we would have to fight for it back.

Wow, I really got into writing this.  That just goes to show how much I loved it!  You gotta check it out.  You should watch the finale moments of the show here and then you should start from episode one!

Until next time!

Blur

Wow, it feels like months has passed, but only a week has.  Even though every day passes with a blink of an eye, each day seems so farther away.  This schedule with my two jobs must really be taking a toll on me.  I feel like I haven't been able to take a real breath from everything.  When I'm not working, I'm dreaming about working.  No matter where I'm at, I can't seem to lift this stress that has been put on me for some time.  I should have taken the chance to change this situation when I had the chance, but nothing can be done about it now, and now I must ride wherever the current takes me.

Well, enough about that.  I did manage to take 10 minutes out of my day to run over to Walmart earlier this week.  I have spent so much time working for money that I never really have been able to spend it.  Not that I want to or anything, I just wanted to take a moment to really treat myself, something that I haven't been able to do since graduation.

And guess what I bought?  I took the liberty of spending my $70 gift card on the final 2 seasons of Battlestar Galactica.  I didn't really feel guilty about buy it because technically it wasn't my money that I was spending, if you get my logic.  I quickly ran home to watch a few hours worth, and it was totally worth the money.  I really missed watching the series.  I know I'm watching them too fast, and I'll regret it later, but I just can't stop watching them!!

Now for another subject; Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  Last night was the 2 hour finale for the show.  To be honest, it was a great ending for a very bad situation.  Goren and Eames leaving the show at the beginning of the season took a major hit for the show's ratings.  Not to mention many not liking the feel of the new characters.

The season finale included 2 episodes.  Both were very good.  We also got to see Nichol's father, who both apparently has some sort of conflict with eachother.  Both had a very good storyline.  But did the finale impress viewers?  Judging by viewer ratings, people have not been happy with the overall season.  No official word on what the ratings were for last night, but if they have the same ratings as recent weeks, the show may be on the chopping block.  With or without a good sendoff.  We just have to wait and see, and hope that viewers want to give this show another shot.

Hope you all are doing well and I will talk to you soon!

Obsessive Involvement

Wow. I come on after a day and I find that Tyler's World has not only exceeded the 1,000 view mark, but it also had one of it's biggest leaps in views in a very long time!! Thanks you guys!!! That means alot to me and shows that all of you are supportive on my blog!!

I guess that was also because of the Tim Urban post that I made. I know how you American Idol fans can get, ha ha. I think I'll have to make this a weekly thing.

I sit here, very close before midnight, and waiting for the new batch of snow to come our way. I don't think it is very far. Maybe a few minutes. This batch I'm not going to be so happy for. Last time we had to go on Saturday to make it up. Talk about a fast weekend!! Well I promised myself that I would do no more Saturday sessions. I'm a senior for crying out loud!!

I didn't get to work out today. I came home and ate lunch, and there must have been something in there because I got a major headache, and wasn't worth much after that. Plus, I had to cart my sisters all over town when they got out of school. It's okay, I still love them. I'll just have to try and work out tomorrow. To be honest though, I don't think it's really helping my weight situation...

So a flock of birds told me that my former "obsessive" friend got involved with the cops last weekend. I was only shocked that they didn't know what it was for. Her situations lately haven't really been secret to me or anyone in my senior class. My theory is that she harrassed someone to the point where they called the cops on her. And of course, I have to throw in the idea that she may have threatened them for some god-knows reason. Either way, apparently she has been deprived of everything by her parents and "grounded for life". Her parents are nice and all, but they always eventually cave, and then it is back to her old way. By the way, I wonder if I'll be seeing her in the arrest reports soon.

So today I finished the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica. Ah, how I love that show. I won't give too many details because I want to feature it in my "Off The Air" post that I haven't had the motivation to type yet. But I'll tell you this; it leaves you yearning for more!!

Well, I know this post wasn't as hot as my last one, but I assure you, more great stuff is to come!!
