Eames

Well it is official! Kathryn Erbe is set to return with actor Vincent D'Onofrio for the final season of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. We all suspected that it was no-brainer after Vincent rejoined the show. We knew that Erbe and Vincent were very good actors together, so she would either rejoin, or have a very good reason for not returning. But she is, and that is all that matters!

If things had not changed in season 9, I truly believe that their season 10 would not be their last. If they had just stuck with the Goren/Eames-Nichols/Wheeler teams, then things would have worked a whole lot better. And the ratings would be alot higher.

And speaking of ratings, the returned cast has a lot of mess to clean up. They have to recover the fans that left last season, and add it on to the 2.5-2.9 million regular viewers. And may I correct myself on something. I said during my last LOCI post that season 8 had a total of 4.5 million viewers. That was very wrong. It had a total of 5.4 million. Totally different. So that means that this show could potentially bring back 2.4 million viewers. And heck, if they mangage to do that good of a job, there is always that window that Dick Wolf has left open, saying that this could just be the beginning of more Goren/Eames episodes.

It is a shame that Bogosian cannot return. It's possible, everybody can be written back somehow. They could write that Ross was shot with a bullet-proof vest, and disappeared after "the body" was disposed of. But who knows, maybe it is the end of the Ross team. And if that is the case, do you think that MEM will stay on? I really didn't like her as a captain, and I hope that Deakins or someone better will take her place.

OliviaFan29 wrote this possible storyline that could be on the show next season. There are so many right now, but I think this one is really good. See what you think:

" My idea is this:

They will write it as Eames just left the MCS and not the force (she being the Sargent or something of another squad.) Wheeler (they said other cast may return and they could write her in as just being on maternity leave) is back at MCS and catches a case one night that involves Donny! She calls Eames because she doesn't know how to get a hold of Goren (who is working for the FBI and so is able to still work on cases). Eames calls Goren (cause of course they stayed in touch!!!) and they help work the case with Wheeler. They do a great job and at the end of the episode Goren is offered his job back. As much as I want Eames to be his partner again I think it would also be an interesting idea if Goren and Wheeler worked together and Eames was the captin. We'd still get G/E dynamic but in a interesting new way."

This really makes me excited for the 2011 season. It MAY make it it's last season, but I know it will be great!! And I know millions of people are jumping up and down right now! Let's celebrate people, because our dream team is back, and better than ever!!

Goren

Great news for Law and Order fans! Yes, if you haven't heard it already, Vincent D'Onofrio will be returning to the Law and Order Criminal Intent series for season 10. While the plan is to only have an 8 episode season, and that would end the series, they have left the door open to a possible further future if the show returns to a good standing. Many fans have already shown their support. Here is what I posted in the LOCI forum on USA (the quote was from previous posts):

When I got this news on my phone via twitter, I nearly flipped out.

Speaking of Twitter, I was wondering when USA would ever mention something about the show. Their last post about about Abram in the season finale. But anyways...

Yes, Yes, we can all now say I TOLD YOU SO. I think we are all very shocked to hear this bit of news. The though of Goren suddenly returning after 14 so episodes without him seems weird. And right now they are still negotiating with Erbe, meaning that Burrows is possibly still in the future, along with Mastrintonio.

Imagine how much money they had to pay Vincent. And imagine how much they will have to pay Erbe as well. But you know, I think Erbe will be a bit more easier to get on board with this since Vincent is now back.

Imagine the storyline that they will be making. They will need to make it big to gain back whatever fans that will be interested to see Goren and Eames return. Like myself and someone else on here have talked about, here is a possible storyline that I have thought up:

"One of my fantasy episodes of them returning would be if the Cheif of Ds' was in the midst of a scandal concerning many detectives getting fired for various reasons (Including Goren of course, and Eames quitting would only help raise suspicions).

They are brought back into the Major Case Squad undercover (Authorized by someone higher than the COD) to investigate. And then Goren and Eames will return publicly to the Squad after exposing the COD and revealing that firing Goren was not on legal grounds. The storyline could be so deep that they could bring it back up for the series finale (if they decide on the 8-episode season that people are talking about) and end the show with a very pretty bow on top."

And let us all agree that ratings will jump with Goren's return, despite the fact that not every single CI fan will return. I think the show can easily regain a million viewers that they lost, if not more. Lets see, the finale of season 8 was 4.5 million. I think they could end with a 4 million audience. Not bad a bad thought.

And to be honest, just because they say it is the finale season, doesn't mean that it will be the FINAL season. I think they want to see how many people will jump on this wagon and see how far they can go with it. 8 episodes may be the plan for now, but they may have plans for more if things go well.

So what do you think? This show is right now at the edge of it's end. Do you think Vincent and possibly Erbe can bring this show back to the way it once was? You be the judge, but I think great things will happen now.

Gone

As if the Law and Order franchise couldn't take another hit...

All day today, you will probably see headline news on Yahoo about the latest bomb for Criminal Intent.  Yes, Jeff Goldblum has quit the show, whether or not it will return for a 10th season.  You will be seeing it trending on Yahoo and Twitter, and you will also hear cheers from hardcore fans who have rebelled against the show the entire 9th season.

According to this article, Jeff decided to leave the show "due to the uncertainty" about the show's future".  The report also says that it is not a negotiating tactic, and when Goldblum's option with Dick Wolf was up, he decided to part ways.

He probably realized that the low ratings were because of the rebellion by fans due to the shakeup with Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian leaving during the beginning of season 9.  Ratings dropped quite a bit, about 2-3 million.  Do the math, it's not good at all.

While the 9th season was good, and it explored different character stories and stuff like that, it never reached the character depth and detail like the show had back during season 6 & 7.  And now word is that with low ratings, the departure of Goldblum may break the camel's back and cancel the show for good.

While some people feel that the cancellation in long overdue, I feel that something needs to be done in order to make the fans at peace with the show.  The season 9 finale was not enough to keep us happy if it is the finale.  Want to know what would make us all very happy.  Return Vincent and Kathryn for a few episodes, maybe 8-13 to completely end the show.  While they have promised to never return, this recent event may change everything.  And USA may actually realize that they made a mistake and ask them back.

So really, that's all I know right now.  I felt that this needed to be addressed as soon as possible because you know how much of a Law and Order freak I am.  I will let you know if I hear anything else!

Blur

Wow, it feels like months has passed, but only a week has.  Even though every day passes with a blink of an eye, each day seems so farther away.  This schedule with my two jobs must really be taking a toll on me.  I feel like I haven't been able to take a real breath from everything.  When I'm not working, I'm dreaming about working.  No matter where I'm at, I can't seem to lift this stress that has been put on me for some time.  I should have taken the chance to change this situation when I had the chance, but nothing can be done about it now, and now I must ride wherever the current takes me.

Well, enough about that.  I did manage to take 10 minutes out of my day to run over to Walmart earlier this week.  I have spent so much time working for money that I never really have been able to spend it.  Not that I want to or anything, I just wanted to take a moment to really treat myself, something that I haven't been able to do since graduation.

And guess what I bought?  I took the liberty of spending my $70 gift card on the final 2 seasons of Battlestar Galactica.  I didn't really feel guilty about buy it because technically it wasn't my money that I was spending, if you get my logic.  I quickly ran home to watch a few hours worth, and it was totally worth the money.  I really missed watching the series.  I know I'm watching them too fast, and I'll regret it later, but I just can't stop watching them!!

Now for another subject; Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  Last night was the 2 hour finale for the show.  To be honest, it was a great ending for a very bad situation.  Goren and Eames leaving the show at the beginning of the season took a major hit for the show's ratings.  Not to mention many not liking the feel of the new characters.

The season finale included 2 episodes.  Both were very good.  We also got to see Nichol's father, who both apparently has some sort of conflict with eachother.  Both had a very good storyline.  But did the finale impress viewers?  Judging by viewer ratings, people have not been happy with the overall season.  No official word on what the ratings were for last night, but if they have the same ratings as recent weeks, the show may be on the chopping block.  With or without a good sendoff.  We just have to wait and see, and hope that viewers want to give this show another shot.

Hope you all are doing well and I will talk to you soon!

Goodbye Law and Order

Well the series finale of Law and Order has just concluded.  And may I tell you that it was a perfect ending!  After all of the drama of hearing of the cancellation of the show, and rumors of maybe a future season, it was nice to just finally watch it and close the series with a very nice bow on top!

True, what was supposed to only be the season finale, it had a feeling that even though the story we could see was over, many more could be written by these detectives and prosecutors.

Personally Dick Wolf, I thought it was a great send off, even though it wasn't your intention.  I know you wanted to beat Gunsmoak, but guess what?  It beats it in the eyes of the loyal fans that has supported this show and all of the others in the past 20 years!  Be proud, and know that the journey is not over with!!

Now we are down to Law and Order: Criminal Intent, SVU, and the new LOLA that is coming up this fall.  While SVU is being renewed for a 12th season, CI may be on the rocks and near a sudden cancellation just like the mothership.  And LOLA may not be recieved well by the old L&O fans.  But, I do ask all of you to continue the L&O support by watching these remaining show.  This is all we have left, so let's keep the spirit alive!!

I hope to see some comments about all of your Law and Order stories!!

Real World

Don't kill me!  I know I haven't posting lately.  Actually alot.  But come on, surely this gives you something to look forward to.  Maybe I should reopen the Tyler's World Blog twitter so you all can have a little bit of notice when another one of these will be coming out.

As you probably know, I have really been focusing on my new job.  Today, I worked for my 5th day.  Right now I am going at a very easy pace, which is fine with me.  More towards June is when I will really start to work.  But already I have worked with so many people and they are all so great and kind!  It's people like that that makes working even more fun!

Sadly though, my job has really changed my way of activities that I have done for the past 3 years of trying to get a job.  Like ready.  Haha, I know, it is very sad.  But since my job, I haven't read one page!  This really isn't like me.  But what can I say, gotta keep the money rolling in!

Just finished watching Kevin Jonas on the Minute to Win it game.  He sucessfully became the highest competitor of the show in it's history.  And it is really good because all of that money goes to a great charity.  Good job Kevin!!  I'm sure all of his fans were really excited to see him on a game so popular as this!

And the eliminator of tonight's episode of American Idol was just announced as Michael Lynche.  I really wanted Chrystal to go, but we all can't get what we want.  Goodbye Michael, I know we will see you around very soon!!  To be honest, I think anyone was fair game after this horrible theme week!

Speaking of American Idol, it is said that this season has the lowest rating in AI history, even though it was the most watched show of the Tuesday night.  The head people of the show released their first Idol survey.  Some viewers say that Paula Abdul should return, while Ellen should leave.  My personal opinion; I think Kara should go.  She goes way too in depth in her judging.  The show isn't about you Kara, its about the people performing on it!!  Also, I think this is also the worst season we have had, so that may contribute to low ratings.

One show that was not the top show of the night was Law and Order Criminal Intent.  this is what I posted on the USA forum for CI:

"There was no indication that this was the post episode to the Goren/Eames departure. No mention of it being MEM's first episode either.

Now that I got that out of the way; tonight's episode was by far the WORST episode for the CI season, if not for the entire series. I really didn't get it. I lost intrest right after it started and I could never really get into it. I actually kept thinking of Goren/Eames the entire time. You would never think of the G/E team doing a case like this. Compared to last week, this episode was a total failure!

I expect ratings to plummet this week. The good episodes of this season has had record lows, so I can't imagine this episode bringing in new or even old viewers.

If I actually had time, I would rip this whole episode apart on my blog, and talking about how my new fantasy is Nichols getting shot tragically in the season finale and Goren & Eames being rehired for the last two seconds and then end the series on that little bit of a happy ending. At this point, I think anything is possible.

You know what the funny thing is? Right after this episode they have the nerve to run one of Goren's most memorable episodes. What a slap in the face!"
Then later on, after a few posts, I posted this:
"Okay, so last night was not a good night for me to watch tv. American Idol sucked, Glee sucked, and I was filled with disappointment after high expectations for CI, and didn't recieve it.

Maybe the problem was it was out of order. I'm more inclined to think now that it was filmed for an earlier airing date. It makes sense because in the early episodes I didn't really feel a connection with the episode. And I felt that last night. So many USA just needs to keep them in order! "
Are any of you feeling this rage.  Maybe if they kept things in order, we wouldn't be switching from good to bad episodes.

Well guys, I think that is it for today.  Lots of other things were on my mind to talk about today, but I think I have already given you alot to read!  Next time, I'll mention some of the hot websites right now with some of my personal favorite forums!!

Up to Date

Well we now enter May.  Wow how time flies!!  I don't even remember when my last post was about.  But that means alot more to talk about here!!

I mainly haven't posted because of my new job.  I started last Thursday.  I have only worked two days so far, but what I have worked, I have trained.  I'm starting to figure things out nicely.  I'm having a few hard things to deal with here and there, but nothing really to worry about.  I don't work til this Friday, and I feel like it will take forever to get here.  I know, usually people dread going into work, but I just want to make sure that I can do everything perfectly before I get to that point.

Now on to other things.  Did I even mention about last week's episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent?  I don't think so.  Well anyways, it was a really good episode.  The new cast is working better than I thought.  But after really good ratings from two episodes ago, this one dropped to all new lows.  Really bad for this new season.  But I do expect some really good episodes to come, so dont give up yet!!

Siobhan Magnus left the stage last week after her very poor performance of a song by Shania Twain on American Idol.  I mean, seriously, the song was very bad.  It would have been either Chrystal leaving, or her.  And it was her.  Don't get me wrong, I liked her.  I liked her version of 'Paint it Black'.  But it was her time to go.

Delta Goodrem appeared in a performance this week with Andrea Bocelli at his concert in Singapore.  Pictures have been posted throughout twitter, and she looked AMAZING!!  I look forward to hearing more of her traveling and continuing to prepare for a great album in the USA, and around the world!!

Speaking of Delta, her hubby, Brian Mcfadden, was the figure of a new fansite that was released today.  It is Brian Daily.  It a branch, or a version of the Delta Daily site created by Artin, also moderator of the Delta Goodrem official forum.  Artin and Katie, also a member of DGF, launched the new site today.  It looks really good.  Very classy.  It also features a forum.  I think this is the only BF forum up at the moment, so it is really exciting to see it up.  I have joined and am having fun with it.  Good job Artin and Katie!!

Well I think that is all for today!!  I am glad to catch you all up on my recent events and I hope to update soon!!

Goodbye Urban

Lots to get through on this post.  Lol hope you can keep up.  First of all, I wanted to go over what happened in last night's episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent.  The episode was called 'Delicate' so here we go!

This episode was WAY better than last week's. I was expecting the first Nichols/Stevens episode to be a bit rocky...but this one was really good. I didn't spend the whole time thinking about Goren/Eames. The story was really good. I enjoyed how the equality of parts was between Goldblum and Burrows compared to last week. They really should have used this one as the start with the N/S era.

Still not sure about the captain though. I enjoyed Ross way to much to enjoy her right now.

One thing that I did notice was that they used the same woman from Goldblum's second to last episode last season with Erbe. The girl's mother in that episode was the same in this episode. I figured they could have used someone else.

But overall, really good. I could sit down and actually watch this new era of the show with some interest. I hope the unsure G/E fans enjoyed it as much as I did. I really hope the ratings go up because it deserved it more this week than last week.

Now on to the news for you disappointed American Idol heartthrobs.  Yes, Tim Urban has left the stage.  We saw him become the suprising replacement of one of the supposed top 24.  Many of the judges thought it was a mistake to keep him on, but here he is, the top 7.

Let's be realistic though.  The big reason, if not the main reason, was that he got the popular vote.  There were some nights where it was just unbearable to hear him sing.  Then there were others that were really good.  He was just an unpredictable character and I wasn't suprised to see him go.

But I'm sure some of you are in tears.  But don't worry, I'm sure he will have a record deal before labor day, which is good for him since he wore white tonight.  Get it?  Ah, I'm terrible at jokes.  Don't listen to anymore of my jokes.

Also, just wanted to say real quick, a blog viewer asked me to post some pictures of my prom night.  And to save you the time of loading the pics on here you can go here and view them!!  Enjoy!!
Well that's it for tonight.  See you soon!!

New Era

It seems so long since my last post.  To be honest I have been so busy!!!  I won't talk much about it yet, but I have been working on plans with prom, and I actually got a job!!  Not working yet, but hopefully soon!!

But for now I wanted to talk a few seconds about the new Law and Order CI episode that just ended here on the East Coast.  Here is my review, enjoy!

I thought it was good considering the low expectations that was said among fans. I found some parts confusing. The part where they are introduced with the captain for the first time that we saw in the preview was not present in this episode. I wanted to see that part because I had some hope that she would include what happened to Eames and/or Goren for like two seconds.

Either that scene was only filmed to be shown as a preview, or we just saw an episode that was supposed to air later on, bringing back thoughts of what happened in Season 8, and roughing up an already flustered group of fans, or what is left of it now.

Which brings me to my next point, maybe they are just trying to act like this team has been together for some unknown time. If that is the case, they should have considered adding more because we can't take all of this in and expect to act like we have known these characters for years.

And we didn't even most of the captain. I only saw small bits. And there a lenght of time, like 15-20 minutes where we didn't even see her. I thought they would include her more to introduce her character and see how she works, like I just said in the last part.

My favorite part would have been when Nichols pushed the old guy against the wall and made sure he got what he wanted. This is a side that we haven't seen before, and I think that would make his character grow a little bit more interesting.

Some parts seemed odd, but then other parts worked well. The end worked so well and really sold me. It gave me hope for future episodes.

I'm sure we will be getting ratings soon later this week, and sadly, I expect low ratings due to the heavy loss of CI fans. But there is always a chance that JG fans came in a big swarm to watch. Only time will tell.

So what did you think of the episode?  Like it, hate it?  Will you continue to be a loyal CI fan?  Comment now!!  I'll talk to you soon!

Legacy of the Force

I didn't know how many people were so outraged about the new cast for Law and Order Criminal Intent.  On the USA forums, there is tons of outrage and many are refusing to watch next week's show.  And then there are rumors that Goldblum and Burrows are having problems making this new team work, and then there is word that Erbe may even return after they made her leave.  So much speculation.

Okay, enough of that for now.  For now I wanted to do my review on the Legacy of the Force series that I just finished reading not too long ago.  This series takes place after the time of the New Jedi Order Series and the Dark Nest trilogy.  It is a 9 book series, a lot smaller than the 19-21 book series that NJO offered.

Spoilers!!!

Mainly this series consists of the downfall of Jacen Solo, later to be titled as Darth Caedus.  When the planet Corellia refuses to accept terms by the Galatic Alliance government, they rebel, causing a new civil war.  The Jedi get involved, then the mysterious Sith Lady, Lumiya, makes contact with Jacen, and tells him of the way to bring peace to the galaxy.  The sith way.

He uses the sith way to help him imagine a galaxy full of peace, and a safe place for his lover, Tenal Ka, and his secret daughter, Allana solo.

From the beginning you begin to see his rise to fame from just normal Jedi Knight to colonel, head of Galactic Alliance Guard, to Joint Cheif-of-State.  Within each book, he falls closer to the dark side until he reaches the climax point, and kills Mara Jade Skywalker, Luke Skywalker's wife, after she discovers what he has become.

That then makes things personal for Luke and his son, Ben.  They are focused on finding Mara's killer, while having to face the opposition of Jacen's guard, and fighting a war and trying to maintain a Jedi Order.  Ben is certain that Jacen is the killer, while Luke is too consumed by his grief to see the truth.  Later on closer to the end, Ben has the necessary proof to show Luke and is able to point the finger at Jacen.

By this point, Jacen is now Joint Chief-of-State, and has proclaimed himself Darth Caedus.  The Jedi have lost whatever control that they had on Jacen, making him almost unstoppable.  Jaina, Jacen's twin sister, then realizes that she is the one that must bring him down, and she cannot do it with the Jedi techniques that she is so used to.  So she travels to the world of Mandalore, and seeks teachings from the Mandalore, the one and only, Boba Fett.

After training and regrouping with the order, Jaina and her family team up with the Madalorians and other parsts of the galaxy to take down Jacen Solo once and for all.  And after a very grusome battle, she finally defeats him and kills him.  They are consumed by brief, but there is a shining star left that ends the story nicely.  We see that Allana Solo has survived the final battle and is put into Leia and Han Solo's care.  The one happy thought of a very heartbreaking tale.

Overall, I thought the story was great!!  It shows you that even the best can fall for what seems like the right reasons.  You get to see the Jedi at it's peak in years, and you get to see them struggle to maintain what they have fought for for so many years!!  A very nice series to read, although I think you need to read NJO and Dark Nest before you can dig into this one.

Well that seems to be my review for today.  Stay tuned for my opinion of yesterday's American Idol results, and the continuing controversy of the Law and Order Criminal Intent series!

Loyalty Part II

Hello guys!!  It has been quite some time since my latest post.  And my, how much I have missed blogging!  I actually would have done it sooner, but this hotel in San Diego won't let you have the internet in the room for free.  You have to pay a freaking $10+ a day just to use it.  Fortunately, I found out a little less than a hour ago that they serve free internet in the lobby.  And that is where I'm at right now.

Major spoilers!!

I could write about so many things right now, but the main thing would have to be about the second part of Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  We saw Goren and Eames leave the show last night, and pass on the torch to Goldblum's character.  I made sure that we got to our room on time so I could watch it.

I could talk about the episode forever, but I thought I would just hit the highlights.  The beginning was a great farewell to Captain Ross.  I really didn't expect them to show the funeral, but it was nice to see them say goodbye to him for the last time.

The next part is when Eames is given the chance to become captain.  And until the very end you think she will come through.  But her having to fire Goren seemed too hard for her, leading her to decline on the offer.  I don't understand what diffrence it made, he was going to get fired one way or the other.  But of course Eames wasn't returning so there was not other way around it.

As for Goren, I thought this episode really didn't give his moment to shine.  Specific episodes in season 7 really made him shine, which makes you think that this wasn't the best way for him to exit.  Season 7 had the best storyline for Goren to exit.  And the finale in season 7 would have left us knowing that he would be able to start fresh, and leave Major Case behind.  I felt that him getting fired really didn't tie up the loose ends that he had with the squad such as his nephew, Donny.  It was a disappointment when we didn't find out what happened to him in season 8.  Now we don't know if we ever will find out.

Now the final scene, where Goren and Eames say goodbye is the climax of the entire show.  This was the point where the Goren/Eames shippers could have had what they have wanted, if the part was written just a tad diffrently.  We see Goren kissing Eames on the cheek for actually a long moment, then leaves the scene.  To me, it felt out of place, and really didn't fit the relationship that Eames and Goren have had for 9 years.  And then at the end, when Eames declines on the position as captain, you start to think that she is not taking it for love of Goren.

Ah, I really have to stop talking about it.  It really was a hard episode ot watch and say goodbye.  On the other hand, we saw the partnership of Nichols and Stevens form up.  I felt that the relationship was awkward to start out, like we saw with Det. Logan and Wheeler.  But towards the end, it sorta started to grow on me.  Saffron Burrows character seems like a person that is worth watching at the moment.  I look forward if those two can really carry the torch.

Overall, I thought the episode was really well.  But at the same time, it was a make it or break it moment for the new cast.  They have me sold for now, but whats to say that they have the other Goren/Eames fans sold.  If they fail to keep the attention that the show has been getting for 9 years, I'm afraid that it may be the end for Criminal Intent.

So there was my full in-depth review of the show.  I really hope you enjoyed it!!  Stay tuned tomorrow for a review that I have for the Legacy of the Force Series that I just finished reading!!

California Bound

First of all, this is my 50th post!!!  Thats very exciting and thanks for supporting me to keep writing!!

Now, yesterday was the start of spring break in my area.  So what better than to go somewhere other than here.  Thats right guys, I'm heading to California, San Diego to be exact.  Going to get some sun, and some reading in!  And then we plan on stopping by Disneyland!  Wow, I've been to 3 Disney parks in less than six months.  Interesting....

Well anyways, I'm not really expecting to have a fully functional computer to use over there, so I thought I would say farewell for now.  Make sure to watch the second part of the Law and Order Criminal Intent premiere, American Idol, and I will make sure we will talk about all of that when I get back!!

Breakdown

I know I promised all of you that I would post my L&O review yesterday, but I got held up.  Actually, I was performing with my musical group at Brevard College in NC.  It was such a very exciting time.  And we made a Superior!  How amazing is that!!!  This year's group is the first on in 15 years in our area to make a superior!!  Great job you guys.

Okay, so lets shift over to Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  It was the moment some of us have been waiting for.  While it is the beginning of a new era of crime solving for some, it is the end of a great era for others.  Yes, Tuesday's episode and next Tuesday's will be Vincent D'onofrio and Katheryn Erbe's last apperance on the show.

Today, I'm going to breakdown the entire episode, with some comparisons and reviews.  There will be a ton of spoilers on this one, so for you who haven't seen it yet, beware!  Also, there may be parts of the episode that I misunderstood, so please bear with me.

Okay, so the show starts out like it usually does.  The bad guys do their act, in this case, people seeking out pirates.  But it turns out, they just use their weapons to blow up innocent ships.  The main leaders then notice a very clean authoritive captain that is willing to be apart of a new operation to set up a police for in Somalia.  This could only be the great Captain Danny Ross.  We then see them present the offer to Ross.  And the opening ends to one of the leaders dying.

Ross accepts the 2 million deal to go to Somalia to run this force for two years.  Afterwards, he meets with this "secret" woman and says, "I've sold my soul."  The scene ends when we see that Ross is his new woman are being tailed and photographed.

Throughout the beginning of the first half, Eames and Goren begin to notice the changes in Ross, such as him appearing with the new woman, and acting odd when asked about the case.  Ross then tells the team that the FBI have taken over the case, and to back off.  Of course Goren doesn't, and interviews one of the leaders secretly on his airspace.  We are led to believe that they are now onto Goren, which leads back to Ross.  Ross then gets in the car to meet up with the leaders, and when shown the pictures of him and his woman, is shot dead.

Eames gets the call of Ross's death, and Goren and herself rush down to the crimescene.  The FBI has already taken over, and refuse to let them through.  We then learn that he was undercover, and the woman was actually a FBI agent.  After constant fighting, G & A break through to see their captain for the last time.  They then rush back to major case to get the files at Ross's office before the FBI does.

Back at the Major Case Squad, we see Goren and Eames struggling to gather all of the information.  When they resort to ripping the hardrive out, Det. Zach Nochols (played by Jeff Goldblum) conviently drops by and says that he has a flashdrive.  This is where he teams up with the 2 to find any links to the case.  They find a link and makes an arrest.

They interrogate and breaks the suspect to the point where he is willing to cooperate.  Just at the moment, the FBI shows us, and takes him into custody.  Goren makes his case saying that if they take him he will get away.  And Goren takes off stage to leave us hanging for next week.

This was a really good episode.  It wasn't what I was expecting though.  To be honest, I was hoping for an episode like the season finale of Season 7.  I felt that would have been a whole lot better.  But at the same time, we still haven't seen the second part.  But according to the previews, it looks like it's gonna be juicy!!

Well that pretty much covers it guys!!  I hope you enjoyed my breakdown of the episode, and next week I will have a full detailed review of the 2 part series!!  Stay tuned!!

Review

Hey guys. I was just notified of this review that was posted today for the Law and Order Criminal Intent Premiere. I won't post mine until tomorrow, so this one should keep you busy. The link to this review will be posted at the bottom.

"SAG nominee Saffron Burrows and Academy Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio join Academy Award nominee Jeff Goldblum for Season Nine Two-part season opener to feature departure of long time cast members Emmy Award nominee Vincent D’Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian. Guest stars include Tracy Pollan, Dan Lauria, Ralph Macchio, Dan Butler and William Mapother

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, USA Network’s hit original scripted series, will return with 16 all new episodes on its new night, Tuesday, March 30 at 10/9c. LAW &ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, produced by Wolf Films and Universal Cable Productions, created and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, was developed by René Balcer. Shot entirely in and around New York City, the third installment of the “Law & Order” franchise takes viewers deep into the minds of its criminals while following the intense psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve its crimes.

After a triumphant eight-season run, Emmy nominee Vincent D’Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian say goodbye to LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. The two part season opener will showcase the brilliant partnership between Detectives Goren & Eames as they, along with Detectives Nichols and Stevens, unravel a case with devastating consequences for Captain Ross.

Over the past several months I've started watching Law & Order for the first time and am a die-hard convert. Of the various franchises, Criminal Intent is by far my favorite, in no small part to the presence and performances by Vincent D' Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe. One of the things that I enjoy most of L&O:CI is that it's simply an hour of television that I can enjoy without committing to the series.

Television's become so serialized over the last few years that most shows are self-committed to story arcs and less and less with single episode shows.

The two-part premiere of Criminal Intent flips the series on it's ear and starts fresh. A major character dies, two other characters leave, leaving the show with a new series sharing the same title.

Jeff Goldblum's Zach Nichols returns an by the second hour of the premiere, the show already has a slightly different tone as we see it's focus shift to Nichols as departing D'Onofrio's Det. Bobby Goren, Kathryn Erbe's, Alexandra Eames and Eric Bogosian's Capt. Danny Ross all start to take secondary focus.

The Law & Order franchise is known for it's turnover, but this is the first time that the entire core cast has handed over it's reigns.

Executive producer has nothing to worry about, despite my love for the previous incarnation, this reinvention works."

Loyalty

Today has been so hard to get things together. After this trip, all I want to do is go back!! I guess it is so easy to forget reality when you go to the most magical place on earth.

For all you cyber and tech geeks, I have good news. Apple has just now announced that they are releasing a new version of the Apple Iphone that will be used with the Verizon Wireless network. Are you excited?

Many were anticipating this when the upgrade of the current Iphone came up. I guess you all will be very happy. I personally don't know how to react to this since I am a Verizon Wireless user. Sure, I love the Ipod, but I don't know how I like the thought of it being combined with my phone. But I guess everyone has their preferences.

Also some more bombshelling news; Ricky Martin actually came out of the closet today saying, 'I Am a Fortunate Homosexual Man'. He also says that his twin sons inspire him to come out. He also says:

"To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where [sic] born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment". The entire article can be read here.

So now for you Law and Order: Criminal Intent fans; the time is nearly hear. The season 9 premire starts tomorrow night at 10 pm. I am really excited about this. As some of you know, the title of the episode will be 'Loyalty', along with the Part II following the next week.

Apparently, they have been making some tough decisions when considering how to present this two part series. There have been numerous titles for it and there were also talks of combining it into a 2 hour special, but then decided to splitting them up.

Of course, you will be seeing a full detailed overview of the episode tomorrow night. So make sure to stay tuned!!

And as for the Iphone, post your comments on what you think about this new plan with Verizon!

On The Air

I'm writing to you from another snowed in day. This is nothing new to you but I thought I would tell you. More is expected tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday. When will it stop? They say that every storm we have had has been predicted. And word is that a blizzard is expected here for March 7th. I may be screwed then.

This is a post that I have been wanting to post for some time. We all watch tv, and there are certain songs that catches our eye. I have a show every day that I sit down to watch. In my next post, I want to post the shows that are no longer on the air, because alot of us watch what is no longer on. And also today, I want to talk about a internet radio station that is on that is really spreading around the world and spreading all sorts of music. So let us begin.

Monday

House M.D- I have only been watching this show for less than a year I believe, and it is one of my most favorite shows. I enjoy watching the numerous diagnosis that House can come up with, and also how he can cause havok around the hospital. I really enjoy how House, the most brilliant man in medicine, is also the most flawed man in reality. It is interesting to watch how he has to cope with that every day. This is certainly a show that you should start watching.

Tuesday

Biggest Loser- I have never really been into reality shows, but this is one of the few that I am into. This is certainly the most inspirational reality shows you can watch. You start off each season by seeing how the certain contestants are consumed by eating constantly. You see their struggles when it comes to stop eating and working off all of that weight that they have consumed. The best part though, is when you get to watch them make incredible accomplishments throughout the season. I think it really inspires many people out in the world today that it is important to live healthy lifestyles and try to live that way themselves. This is a show that won't disappoint!!

Law and Order: Criminal Intent- This has been my sunday night show for so long, but now it being moved into a Tuesday night lineup. So I thought I would go ahead and put it in here. If you have read my blog from the beginning, you probably read the "Legacy" post concerning all CI so this isn't really anything new. This is probably the best Law and Order series out of all three. This show has went in ways that none of the others has, both going into deep, personal description, as well as focusing on not just one team of detectives, but several other teams.

Like I told you, this show is returning March 30th. I am really excited about it. They have actually posted the first promo for it. The link is http://twitvid.com/72739 . I really think this is going to hype up even the fans that refused to watch the show after Goren and Eames leave. It leaves you begging for more, and unable to wait for March. Hold on tight troops, because it is coming, and I'm sure some more promos as well!!

Wednesday

Law and Order: SVU- A very good show indeed. It focuses more on children and rape cases. Among most Law and Order fans, this one seems to be the favorite. And who can resist the Detective Olivia Bensen and Elliot Stabler. This show has left me on the edge of my seat and stunned, so it is really a show to watch.

Cougar Town- Could Courtney Cox be any sexier? We haven't seen her since the famous Friends series, but she comes back and is rocking it!! This show is seriously funny and includes all of the everday situations that we might find ourselves in. Everybody has given great reviews for it. My only concern about this show is that I feel that Cox is trying to not give that "Monica Geller" feel to it, which in my opinion makes it obvious. I guess that happens to people who are on long lasting shows. But great job on the show, and I look forward to more!!

Thursday

Thursday currently is a open slot for me. There are a few shows that I have watched, but none is really keeping sitting down on that night. Flash Forward had my attention caught my attention for awhile, but I quickly lost interest, as well as many in my household. I don't think it'll last long, if it hasn't been taken down already. I also watch The Office, but it a touch and go show for me.

Friday

Law and Order- The first and longest lasting of all three. I like this one because of the courtroom drama that is holds in the show. SVU has it as well, but I think this one has it hardcore. I like how it is currently trying to get personal about the detecitves and the other main characters. They say that this show is slowly ready to leave the air, but I really hope it doesn't leave anytime soon!!

Sunday

Desperate Housewives- I got hooked on this show when I was watching the hostage scene in the grocery store in season 3. I got hooked and have since watched every episode. It has it's corny moments, and sometimes I call it my "Night time Soap Opera". But really it has its great moments, and it looks like it isn't going anywhere soon!!

Brothers and Sisters- I got into this show because it was the show after DH, and sometimes it came on before I could turn it off to go to bed. But one night I decided to sit through an episode, and have loved it ever since. It doesn't have near the corny moments like DH, which makes it better. This is really the best night time drama I have watched in some time!!

Party Central Radio- I promised I would post about this because it really is an 'On Air' topic. I came across this site from a random experience. Its fun because you get to enjoy diffrent types of music and without commercial interuptions. It really is the best radio station you can find!! And the best part is, most of all the song requests get played!!! This has been a site that I have really enjoyed being apart of, and I hope you will to!! If you would like to enjoy the fun, the link is http://www.partycentralradio.com/ .

Well guys that was a rather long post. I hope you come and read my next post because next time we will discuss the shows that are off the air, and some shows I will treasure forever!!! So make sure to stay tuned!!

Like any of these shows or the Radio site? Comment about them now!!

Legacy

I am so pumped about this post today. It isn't the post that I promised to post last night. But I think you will enjoy it. How many of you watch the Law and Order series? There is the one that has been on forever, then there is Special Victims Unit. And then there is one more, and personally my favorite. I'm talking about Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

For the people who don't know, it is a branch of the Law and Order Universe. It started in 2001 with Vincent D'onofrio and Kathryn Erbe playing Detective Goren and Eames. Most of us was awed by the way Goren was able to look at a crime scene most detectives couldn't. And of course he had Eame's computer savvy skills to assist him. We began to notice that they were the perfect "peaches and cream" partnership.

Later on, something happened to CI that hasn't happened on any other Law and Order series. They expanded the stories with another group of detectives. Detective Mike Logan, played by Chris Noth, returned to the Law and Order universe with a new, more intensified version of detective with numerous detectives.

To some of us, we feared that this would kill the series. People were going to have to wait every other week for a Goren/Eames episode, and have to endure a episode of Noth's "cockyness". Also, the current captain at the time resigned because of an incident with Logan so yeah he pretty much screwed it all up.

Things got a little bit better on the Logan side when he gained the new Detective Megan Wheeler played by Julianne Nicholson. This team began to impress me a little bit.

Both teams gained a new captain at the same time. Captain Danny Ross joined the cast and we all saw how both Goren and Logan have their fueds with them.

As they moved on with the show, we saw more in depth discription of both Goren and Eames. We saw Goren's stuggle with his dying mother and his homeless, drug addict brother. To top it off, he finds out that his biological father is the nutorious serial killer Mark Brady. Both Brady and Goren's mother die the same night.

Later on, we see his former mentor, Dr. Gage, come back into the picture when a supposed serial killer returns. Eames is kidnapped in the process, but escapes. We find out that it is Gage's daughter who impersonates the serial killer to get her father's attention.

His brother, Frank, returns and asks Goren for help with his teenage son, Donnie, who is in prison and witnesses prisoners being tourtured. When Captain Ross denies Goren to investigate further, and put him on sick leave, Goren goes undercover and experiences what the other prisoners experience. Donnie escapes by faking a medical emergency and Goren is saved by Eames and Ross. But because of his acts, he is suspended from the force.

That episode was before that writers strike and left us high and dry for several months. When it did return, we find that Goren goes back undercover under the supervision of both Ross and the Cheifs to uncover a big drug ring, to gain back his spot in the Major Case Squad. Eames is unaware of this, and nearly kills Goren in the process after investigating. This severes the trust between the two of them and it takes some time to recover. We, or mainly I haven't really seen an episode where they really talk about this in depth.

The last two episodes of season 7 was real shockers. Lets start with Logan. His last case consists of such strain that he decides to leave the major case squade for good. We haven't heard of him since then. The really "big" episode of that season, and probably the whole series was with Goren. His brother is killed and he investigates it. We see Nicole Wallace return to the scene to take down Goren. Goren is sure that it is Wallace behind this. Goren and Eames are given many diffrent clues to see who is killed next. His mentor, Gage is attacked but survives. They are then led to a bed and breakfast and finds a human heart. They later learn that it was Wallaces, which leads only Goren as the suspect.

Goren has a mini breakdown in the episode, and realizes that he is being framed, and when he gets his head back on, he then suspects another person. He finds out that Gage was the real mastermind to the plot and attacked himself to erase any evidence, and Wallace was a frontman to throw Goren off track. But he tells Goren that he did all of this to remove all of the bad parts of life. And that he was now "Free".

That left us with many unanswered questions as well with the information that Jeff Goldblum would be taking over Noth's place. Season 8 continued to leave out many unanswered questions. We found out that Goren connects with some family, but unsure still about his nephew. Goldblum's Nichols provides a humerous part to the show. It was even more enjoyable than Noth. And the season finale concluded with Nichols working with Eames after Wheeler has her baby.

So here we are, one month away from the season 9 premiere. As most of you know, Goren, Eames and Ross will only be on the premire, and the reigns will be given to Goldblum and his new costar. Many were shocked and protested, threatning to stop watching the show and signing petitions.

I admit that I have signed many petitions but I have come to the conclusion that I will continue to watch the show. It remains to be seen how well the show will fare without Goren and Eames. But we can only hope.

Well guys that seems the be the end of my discussion with the show. I know some of you have alot to say about this so don't hesitate to say something!! I also want to return to this when the season premire comes up this March so stay tuned CI fans!!
