Real World

Don't kill me!  I know I haven't posting lately.  Actually alot.  But come on, surely this gives you something to look forward to.  Maybe I should reopen the Tyler's World Blog twitter so you all can have a little bit of notice when another one of these will be coming out.

As you probably know, I have really been focusing on my new job.  Today, I worked for my 5th day.  Right now I am going at a very easy pace, which is fine with me.  More towards June is when I will really start to work.  But already I have worked with so many people and they are all so great and kind!  It's people like that that makes working even more fun!

Sadly though, my job has really changed my way of activities that I have done for the past 3 years of trying to get a job.  Like ready.  Haha, I know, it is very sad.  But since my job, I haven't read one page!  This really isn't like me.  But what can I say, gotta keep the money rolling in!

Just finished watching Kevin Jonas on the Minute to Win it game.  He sucessfully became the highest competitor of the show in it's history.  And it is really good because all of that money goes to a great charity.  Good job Kevin!!  I'm sure all of his fans were really excited to see him on a game so popular as this!

And the eliminator of tonight's episode of American Idol was just announced as Michael Lynche.  I really wanted Chrystal to go, but we all can't get what we want.  Goodbye Michael, I know we will see you around very soon!!  To be honest, I think anyone was fair game after this horrible theme week!

Speaking of American Idol, it is said that this season has the lowest rating in AI history, even though it was the most watched show of the Tuesday night.  The head people of the show released their first Idol survey.  Some viewers say that Paula Abdul should return, while Ellen should leave.  My personal opinion; I think Kara should go.  She goes way too in depth in her judging.  The show isn't about you Kara, its about the people performing on it!!  Also, I think this is also the worst season we have had, so that may contribute to low ratings.

One show that was not the top show of the night was Law and Order Criminal Intent.  this is what I posted on the USA forum for CI:

"There was no indication that this was the post episode to the Goren/Eames departure. No mention of it being MEM's first episode either.

Now that I got that out of the way; tonight's episode was by far the WORST episode for the CI season, if not for the entire series. I really didn't get it. I lost intrest right after it started and I could never really get into it. I actually kept thinking of Goren/Eames the entire time. You would never think of the G/E team doing a case like this. Compared to last week, this episode was a total failure!

I expect ratings to plummet this week. The good episodes of this season has had record lows, so I can't imagine this episode bringing in new or even old viewers.

If I actually had time, I would rip this whole episode apart on my blog, and talking about how my new fantasy is Nichols getting shot tragically in the season finale and Goren & Eames being rehired for the last two seconds and then end the series on that little bit of a happy ending. At this point, I think anything is possible.

You know what the funny thing is? Right after this episode they have the nerve to run one of Goren's most memorable episodes. What a slap in the face!"
Then later on, after a few posts, I posted this:
"Okay, so last night was not a good night for me to watch tv. American Idol sucked, Glee sucked, and I was filled with disappointment after high expectations for CI, and didn't recieve it.

Maybe the problem was it was out of order. I'm more inclined to think now that it was filmed for an earlier airing date. It makes sense because in the early episodes I didn't really feel a connection with the episode. And I felt that last night. So many USA just needs to keep them in order! "
Are any of you feeling this rage.  Maybe if they kept things in order, we wouldn't be switching from good to bad episodes.

Well guys, I think that is it for today.  Lots of other things were on my mind to talk about today, but I think I have already given you alot to read!  Next time, I'll mention some of the hot websites right now with some of my personal favorite forums!!

One Prom Night and Three Eliminations

Last night all feels like a dream.  A rather short dream.  It was so much fun though, you can't even imagine.  Spending time with friends and dancing all night long really makes you come out of you shell and just really be yourself.  Yes, I'm talking abour prom.  I recall talking about this yesterday, I think.

I won't lie, there were some things that really got me worried and anxious.  I wasn't sure of how many sober people would show up, some of them in my own group.  I wasn't really a fan of the resturant that we were going to eat at.  I was out of the loop in some of the planning discussions.  But you know what?  When it finally came down to going to prom and eating and taking pictures, none of that mattered.

Wow, how wild I was last night.  I danced with tons of people, reconnected with old friends, and possibly stepped on some toes of people I don't like.  They'll get over it in time.  Sadly, my group left early last night so some of the group could make it to their midnight curfew.  But I think it worked out in the end because I was dog tired.  I'm still thinking about taking a nap.

Okay, okay, enough about prom.  On to more interesting things.  We actually haven't talked American Idol lately.  I wanted to interest some American Idol fans a bit with this post.  Since my last AI talk, 3 people have been eliminated, two within one week.

Didi Benami was the first to go.  She was really talented, but she really didn't have the strong voice to make it all the way to the top.  But don't worry, I expect her to make an album that has a very mellow tune to it.

Next week we saw Michael Lynche fall with the lowest votes.  Luckily for him though, the judges used their one time save to keep him in for the next week.  But that only means that next week two would be leaving.

Last week there were two who went home.  Andrew Garcia quickly left the show that episode, even before Adam Lambert was even able to do his laser show and his very dragged out version of 'What do you want from me'.  Andrew was also really good, but he raised the bar to high and quickly with his Paula Abdul song.  I do see him singing like Maroon 5 very soon though.

And then the last one to leave was Katie Stevens.  It was between her and Michael again.  It would have been really humiliating if he was saved one week, then eliminated the next.  But he was saved, leaving Katie in tears.  I don't know why she was crying, she will get a record deal before she knows it!!

Well that seems like all the time we have for today!  Stay tuned for more great stuff coming!!

Top Twelve

First of all, I wanted to say how much of a pleasure to see that one of the Edens Edge band members, Hannah, had read my last post! They are all such great singers, so it was so much fun to be able to meet them, and then get their name out through this blog. Good luck you guys.

Now, I haven't been able to do an American Idol post in some time, so what better time than this. Last time we talked about this, we were in the first week of live performances, and Tim Urban was on the edge of getting elimiated. Well since you have last read, he made it through, following good performances with the songs 'Come on Get Higher' and 'Hallelujah', which made the judges proud.

Last week was really the moment to shine and determined if they would make it through to the top twelve. Here are some highlights:

Mike did a stunning perfomance with his song the led Kara to tears. While Ellen gave Tim a big hug for his good song choice. And Aaron Kelly continued to gain fame with his young, solid voice.

But four didn't make it this week. Two of them were shockers, others not so much.

Lilly Scott was a shocker. Alot of people liked her unique voice, including myself. She was one that was a huge shocker.

Katelyn Epperly was also one who left the stage. I think that the only thing that would have saved her was the song that she perfomed two weeks ago. But her last performance was not one that really stuck with the audience, causing her to be eliminated.

Don't get me wrong, Todrick Hall is a good singer and a good performer. But to the truth of the matter is, he changed a song to the point where is was unrecognizable, and continued to do it week after week. You want to hear a song that you can relate to and he just didn't seem to realize that.

And Alex Lambert. Poor guy. He was a good singer that I was shocked to see go. And but to truthful, he was just the weakest link of the 7 guys. I felt bad for him though when he started crying on stage. But don't fel bad Alex, someone will notice you and get you signed up to a label real soon.

Well I guess I'll give you the names of the top twelve. They are DiDi Benami, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens, Lacey Brown and Crystal Bowersox, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Casey James, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia and Tim Urban.

Well I guess that is my post for today. Stay tuned for more tomorrow!!
