I'm Not Ready

Okay, so I don't think there will be many that do not know what I'm going to discuss.  Actually, 17 million Americans actually will know about this.  A viewer of "Dancing with the Stars"?  Well sorry, it's not about the finale or the winner.  It's something more important to me.  One of the performances a few weeks ago, Delta Goodrem and Michael Bolton went on stage to unveil their new song "I'm Not Ready".  The song is from Bolton's new upcoming album, and many were in amazement.

The song was written by Delta and Vince Pizzinga, known by some of Delta's popular songs.  And word was given out that the song was going to be on Bolton's new album, and would also be performed by the two on DWTS.  Many Delta fans were anticipating the performance, excited to see her return to American television sets in almost 9 months, and since her release 3 years ago.

For those who didn't watch, the performance was amazing!  Delta looked gorgeous, Bolton looking good also.  And the song was beautiful.  While some verses were taken out due to time, the parts that were performed were great.  With that performance, and the substitution performance for "Natural Woman", it brought alot of attention to Delta.

The only thing left was the song to be released.  Word was that it was going to be released immediately after the show.  Fans waited, and waited, and waited.  Nothing.  Word was that it would be out "soon".  Finally, a week, maybe two weeks passed, and it was released!  But it was so worth the wait.  The unheard lyrics were just as great as the performance was, creating a great collaboration between Delta and Michael.

While it is #2 on Delta's iTunes page, it is only #14.  Why?  Simply because it wasn't released earlier.  Some has disagreed with me, but I think the song could have made it to #1.  Many songs with great views from shows like American Idol and DWTS have gotten amazing sales.  I know OneRepubic performed on the show once, and it is in the top 20 on the pop iTunes charts.  And many probably was ready to buy it that now, but it was not announced when it would be available, nor was it on there as promised.  And of course people will move on to better things.  That's sad, because it is such a great song!!

But now that you know about this great song, you should buy it!  It is worth the cheap price of $1.29.  And I promise that you will have it on replay all day long!  You can buy it here.  Make sure to comment on it and rate it so it gets real popular.

So this song only means great things to come from both both Delta and Bolton in the future.  It looks far away, but like this song, it was long worth the wait.  Thanks for the great song Delta and Michael!  So make sure you buy the song today.

Dance

I have been very excited to talk about this song.  I first heard song "Dance" by Mark Russell sometime in March I believe, and since then, I have been waiting for it to be released.  But now it is now on iTunes, and I want to share the excitement with everyone!

I first heard about this song when I heard that Justin Thorne from One Call helped produce the song.  They released it for fans to listen to, and I was blown away.  It was a song I didn't expect to hear, and it just really got me to pay attention to Mark Russell.  I don't really know what I can specifically say about the song that should make you buy it.  It is just great all around.  They did a real great job making this song.

So on Thursday, the song was released onto iTunes.  And I immediately bought it.  It was the song that I was waiting on for quite some time!  And for only $.99, it was a great deal.  I really recommend that you buy it.  You can buy it here.  Make sure you comment on it and rate it so that it gets a real good review.

You should all follow Mark and Justin to make sure you stay up to date with the songs that they release in the future.  Because I know you will not be let down!

Wow, I had no idea how short this post was going to be.  I guess you don't have alot to say about how great a song it.  I guess it's easier to talk bad about a song rather than good.  I really hope you all buy it, and let us know what you think of it!  Thanks Mark for releasing such a great song!!

Return

I have returned ladies and gentlemen!  It has been awhile indeed.  So many things have been going on, that I haven't had time to do anything.  A month ago, I finished my semester of school, and since then, I have been gaining more hours at work, and I started reading again, and started exercising.  So lots to talk about.

I was so happy to be done with school.  All of my classes crept up on me all at once, and I really didn't thinnk I was going to make it.  My english class and my health class were my two big concerns.  But you know what? I prevailed, and made A's in all of them except my math class, where I made a B.  Not bad, huh?

Since the summer has started, I have been working my tail off.  It's nice to get some extra cash in now, and I am only going to get more once the other schools let out.  I am excited and dreading it at the same time.  But hey, more money for me!

I have started reading again as well.  It has taken awhile for me to get into my reading mode, but I think I have finally reached it.  Since the beginning of this month, I have read 3 books, and I am currently on my 4th one.  I'm hoping to read my entire cabinet worth of books, and ordering a ton more!

Sadly though, I have put my book on hold.  I wrote a good bit out of it, then with the rush of school, I had to stop.  But for some reason, I haven't been able to get back into the writing mode that I was in.  It's sad, because I had big hopes of finishing it this summer.  But I'm not going to be releasing any details of the book because I have the goal to finish it one day.

So now that I'm back, wonder what I have in store for you guys?  Lots to talk about.  I have many papers that I wrote for school that I want to share with you all.  And I will be releasing a post review the hit single "Dance", hoping to be out tomorrow.  And let's not forget the amazing new song by Delta Goodrem and Michael Bolton.  Gotta talk about that as well.  So as you can tell, I am in a real mood to blog, and it's gonna be a summer full of posts.  So make sure to stay tuned and read!  If you want to keep regular updates, make sure to follow me on Twitter!!

Settled

Bishop Eddie Long from a megachurch in Atlanta has returned to the media, with news that he has settled out of court with the 4 males that accused him of coercing them into sex and showering them with gifts.  And as of right now, neither the accusers nor Long will be doing any sort of interview.  Which makes us wonder, what exactly happened behind closed doors?

Let's rewind 8 months ago, where the pastor of 25,000 was first accused.  Photos sprung up of the pastor half-naked and was allegedly sent to the 4 males, following a lawsuit.  This was in the midst of Long opposing Gay marriage and gay rights.  And this was also the time that word of major gay teen suicide rates were off the charts, including the Tyler Clementi suicide that was so publicised in the media.  If you all recall, I posted two posts, called Sickened and Outrage in response to these topics.

If you didn't get it by first reading those posts, I was furious.  The scandal with Long was a prime example of the hypocracy that we are seeing in America today.  Do I care that he is a gay pastor?  No.  What I do care is that he was married, possibly being involved with minors, and more importantly, opposing this livelyhood with a passion, while he goes and lives in the lifestyle.  It is people like him that drive people like Tyler Clementi into suicide.  People like Long make people like Tyler think they are worthless and they should be ashamed of them.  Long is a man of God, shouldn't he be the one, if only one that accepts him?

Sources say that settling out means a sign of guilt.  No big suprise there.  But the big question is, what could he be guilty of?  The fact that he was involved with these males, or that he showered them with gifts such as cars, clothes, jewelry and electronic items.

Shayne Lee says that not fighting could hurt his support from his church.  "When you settle outside of court, it implies that there’s some guilt involved,” said Lee,  author of "Holy Mavericks: Evangelical Innovators and the Spiritual Marketplace."  “To the average congregation in the black church, those are some very serious charges.  You can’t settle outside of court. You have to fight and roll up your sleeves, be defiant and fight it.”

Another big question remains, if he is guilty, where did he get the money to shower these men with gifts?  I know he could only finance so much.  So where else would he get the money?  Where else, but the church.  I know some of you won't believe it, but some pastors are scammers.  If you haven't seen it on TV, then you might have seen it locally.  I have a relative that invested a huge sum of money into the church, and the next day the pastor comes up with a new van with the tag "Paid by God" on the front.  Don't put it past them.

So there are alot of questions that I should ask you.  Do you think he is guilty of any counts?  Do you think he has any right to stand up and fight against gay marriage?  Do you think it is people like him that send people like Tyler Clementi into suicide?  And do you think he funded his pleasures by the church?  Lots to ponder, hopefully all will become public soon!

Hands

Delta Goodrem and Nick Jonas Together?

I usually don't post images on my blog.  But this is just something you have to see to believe.  I woke up to this, and I just could not believe it.  As you can see in the photo, it appears that Delta Goodrem and Nick Jonas are holding hands.  This photo was taken at the Arclight Cinema in LA.  The pair announced that they were recording together back in March.

Let me just say that neither have confirmed that they are dating, nor is there anything other than this picture to indicate that they are an item.

First of all, lets get this age difference out of the way.  We know that Delta is 26, and Nick is 18.  A big gap of 8 years.  While it may seem like a big deal, if they were dating, it would all be legal and they are both adults to do their own thing.  Some people have said that she is robbing the cradle and that she could be his mom.  But unless she was 8 when she had him, it wouldn't be a problem.

The web has been storming with this news.  Twitter has been on fire since I have been on it, having Delta as a trending topic all day.  While some are only posting how shocked they are about this photo, many of the Jonas fans are bashing Delta.  Many are calling her the "Ultimate Disney Cougar".  Many are comparing her to Miley Cyrus, who has a more dirtier image than Delta.  And some are bashing her simply because she is rumored to be dating him instead of Nick dating the specific fan doing the bashing.

Unfortunately, Delta's music doesn't seem to be benefiting from this press.  As of right now, none of her work seems to be charting.  And I hate that the only reason she is getting press is because Nick's fans are in a firey rage.

UPDATE:  A Rep in for Delta has made a statement, saying "He is one of the many people Delta is writing with, She's not making any comment about anything else."

So do you think this is real and that they are actually dating?  I have to say no.  There is so many reasons that they could have held hands.  He may have been trying to guide her out of the press taking photos.  Maybe they were crossing the street.  Who knows!  Maybe it was a publicity stunt on either end.  And plus, they recorded together.  So that could only mean that they are best buds now, and they just want to hang out at a good movie.  But if they are dating, I am sure we will hear about it soon, and I wish them only the best.

So do you think they are dating?  Post your thoughts here!

Bang

This week has been great for Delta Goodrem in the U.S. She has come back with a bang, landing in the heart of America. On Tuesday, she performed with Michael Bolton with his new single "I'm Not Ready" on "Dancing With the Stars", the most watched TV show in America. And the situation turned even more in her favor when Adele, current holder of the #1 album on iTunes, had to turn down the chance of singing the classic "Natural Woman". The producers then came to Delta and offered her the song. She agreed, with less than one hour to reherse. And the results were amazing.

The single between Bolton and Delta was great! She looked elegant and beautiful as always, stunning the audience with her white dress. For those who do not know, the song "I'm Not Ready" was written by Delta. And by the sound of it, the majority of the song is sung by Delta. But the combination between Bolton and Delta was good. The single should be out soon, and I am very excited about it.

Now, the commercials came on, and Delta returns to the stage. The hosts explained the situation with Adele, and said that Delta was gracious to sing the song with only a hour to prepare for a song that she has never sang before in her life. And she really showed America with her talents. People gave her a standing ovation, and the dancers, judges and hosts all thanked Delta for helping them out.

Twitter and Facebook instantly blew up with support for Delta, and curiousness about who she is. Remember, she is very new to American audiences, so being exposed to up to 20 million people was big. And suprisingly, people went to buy the American version of 'Delta', which was released in 2008. I did my research the day afterwards, and these were the results I found and posted on the Delta Forum:

"The entire day, people have said that 'Delta' has charted on iTunes, peaking at #128. Overall that is true, and currently she is holding at #138. But we didn't look at the pop charts. In the pop charts, the album has done much better, peaking at #36. We haven't seen these numbers since July of 2008. And it is incredible, because the album is up with Justin Beiber, Katy Perry and Maroon 5. I don't see any of the individual songs charting yet, but I do see a boost in the 'Believe Again' popularity.

On Youtube, we have seen the video numbers go up. Delta Daily's video of last night's performance has reached close to 25,000 views put together.

On Amazon.com, we see the most sucess. Like many have already seen, the sales of 'Delta' were up 45,000%. 'Innocent Eyes' wasn't far behind in 3rd place. As of yesterday the sales rank for 'Delta' was 72,000 I believe. Earlier today it peaked at 138. And since then, it has dropped to 255. But it remains #4 in the Pop Adult Alternative category and #13 in vocal pop. And on Barnes and Noble, the cd rank was at 12,000. Now it is at 2400."

But three days later, the hype has started to die down. Unfortunately, the album has fallen on iTunes. #98 on pop and it is no longer charting overall. On Amazon, the album has dropped to #470 sales rate. And, the album has also dropped to #12 in Adult Alternative and #31 in Vocal Pop. But sales have jumped up on Barnes and Noble. On Wed, the album rank was at #2426. Now, it is at #330.

But let's look on the bright side. An album getting this much attention since its release in 2008 is huge. Many new people are being exposed to Delta's works, and it will get many current and new fans prepared for when she releases something new in the states. I just hope it is soon, because we don't want anyone to forget her after her 3 year hiatus.

I will keep you all posted on the new updates on the album and Delta. To buy the single "I'm Not Ready" you can click here (Link will be provided when it is released). I'm so excited for the success Delta has recieved over the past day, and I hope more is to come soon!!

Dead

This is mind blowing news that I am just about to unveil to you! For 10 long years, we have searched for a man that has put fear into the facees of Americans and citizens all over the world. But now, no more, because Osama Bin Laden has been confirmed dead. This news just came in meer moments ago.

Just about a hour ago, sources confirmed that President Obama was going to break in all news sources with breaking news related to "National Security". Nothing more was given. Fortunately, do to viewing CNN, I had little hints about what this was all about. Then, while on twitter, I came across one tweet saying that Osama was dead. I had no idea if this was confirmed, but I decided to go with it, and spread it all over the web. Not long after that, the people on CNN gave more hints to convince me that this was in fact related to Laden.

And just seconds ago, it was confirmed that he is dead. The official word has been pushed back for around 30 minutes, due to Obama spreading this word to leaders across the world. And it was something that we have been waiting for "for a long long long time." Since this confirmation, the web has went viral with this news. Twitter is on fire, and Facebook is quickly catching up. And my rumors have been recieving tons of comments.

And this is not a hoax. According to CNN, this has only been brought up now after they have confirmed that they in fact had his body and had DNA results. So this is news that can't be denied.

I was actually joking about this before the confirmation came out. I sent messages around, saying "Why else would the president break in this late at night? Only because The Celebrity Apprentice is on!" But I now realize that this message is a lot more serious and more important than silly jokes about Donald Trump.

I must be honest, I don't have a lot more to say. My mind is all over the place, and doing many different things relating to this! I am sure we will hear many more things about this. I encourage you to tune into CNN for more news, and I will tweet more things as they come!!

And let us not forget: Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!
