Thunder: Chapter 11.5

11.5

Katie smiled with her head down on her computer. Even though she was a very popular person, she never really had a true relationship. She was always afraid of getting hurt in a relationship. But in the case with Cayden, those feelings went away. She had so much lust in her veins.

Then a voice popped up. “When did you decide to enter the relationship world?”

Her head popped up and looked behind her only to find no other than Lance. She rolled her eyes. “Shut up,” she growled. And she turned around to open her computer. She heard Lance laugh and walk towards her.

“Cayden Johnson huh?”

She giggled from embarrassment. “Was I that obvious?”

“Oh please. So are you going to go out with him?”

She looked at him to show that he asking questions was an inconvenience. “I’m not sure. Besides I have so much stuff to do. Like planning of funeral for one thing.”

“Speaking of death,” he said, changing the subject, “How are the plans going?”

Katie was glad that she could get her mind off of Cayden. She maximized her screen, and pointed her pen at the prices on her scrap of paper. “These are some basic prices that I found. I tried to find the most reliable equipment at a small price—“

“Price doesn’t matter,” Lance interrupted, “I’m sure Bonnie would want you to get me the best.

“Okay then,” she said. She then looked back and the computer, and put back on her reading glasses, “If we order tonight, it will all get here within a few days.”

“Okay great,” he smiled. Knowing that he was only a few days from fighting crime made his spirits rise. He then gathered his things and got up.

“Where are you going?” She asked. Just around that time Shannon had arrived in the library and sat down. She unloaded her stuff onto the table, and tried to include herself in the conversation. But she saw it didn’t work when Lance continued moving toward.

“I got to go talk to Monica before she freaks out for not being able to talk to me for two days.” He rolls his eyes and laughs. Then he waved them bye and left.

Katie and Shannon looked at eachother surprised after the sudden leave that Lance took. “Well then,” Shannon said, “What are you working on?”

Katie quickly threw her papers and shut her computer. “Nothing,” she replied, “What about you? Got anything new?”

Shannon noticed the sudden reaction by Katie. She thought she knew what was going on. “I did it.”

“Did what?” Katie asked while gathering loose papers.

Shannon stuttered a few times before finally getting it out. “I sent the message that told Lance what was happening.”

Katie dropped her papers, but didn’t move her body. The shock paralyzed her. Her jaw dropped. She slowly moved her head towards Shannon. “What did you say?”

“I sent the message.”

Katie didn’t understand. “But that’s impossible. The message was sent from the police database.”

“I know,” she said, “The police didn’t belive me when I called them and they hung up on me.”

“But they said that they reported it,” Katie debated.

“No they didn’t. I asked the man in charged to report it and they said that it was a waste of their time. So I sent a text message to their database and knew that it would be sent to Lance.”

“How did you know how to break into the database?” Katie asked, amused.

Shannon smiled. “Surely you didn’t think that I didn’t know what you and Lance have been talking about for the past month.”

Katie gave a slight giggle. Then her expression became more serious. “So after you broke into the database they made it look that they made the report all along.”

“Yep,” Shannon replied.

Katie didn’t know what to say. “Well thanks for helping,” she said, and then she started working on her notes again. Shannon was appalled. She thought that Katie was going to include her in on what was going on.

“Well?” Shannon said.

“Well what?” Katie replied, still keeping her eyes on her work.

Shannon was getting very agitated. Then it hit her. “It was him. Lance. He stopped those men at the docks.”

Katie then looked away from her notes and looked at Shannon. She knew that it was pointless to keep anything from her. She knew enough as it was. “Yes,” she confirmed.

Shannon sighed. She now realized that she helped Lance nearly get killed. “Im sorry.”

“You didn’t know that he would go. You thought that he would alert someone that could stop them.” She turned around and put her hand on her knee. “Its not your fault.”

Getting comfort from Katie really helped Shannon. She put a smile on her face. Katie was right. She did nothing wrong. “Ok then. What is he doing now?”

Katie sighed. “He is creating a pipe dream that is going to get himself killed.” She hesitated to tell Shannon, but knew that she needed to know. “He wants to be some kind of super hero.”

Shannon laughed. She couldn’t contain herself. Then she looked and saw that the expression on Katie’s face had not changed. “Oh my God, your serious?”

“That’s what I said,” Katie replied.

Shannon still couldn’t belive it. “Surley he can’t be serious.”

“He is,” she replied. “Me and Bonnie all thought it was a joke. But it wasn’t. Bonnie didn’t take it too well. But he is determined.”

Shannon was in a jaw drop position. Surley she was joking. Something like this was suicide. “So what is he doing now?”

Katie then knew that it was safe to show Shannon all the stuff. She flipped open her computer. She pointed at all the stuff. “Well he is trying to get a suit built together. He put me in charge of that.”

Shannon shook her head. “This is crazy.”

Katie had to agree. “Yeah, but you know, I kind of admire it. He is doing what nobody else would do. He stopped close to the impossible. He is well trained and if he made it at the docks, he can probably make it through anything.”

“Yeah I guess so,” Shannon sorrowfully.

Katie looked at her watch. It was time to go. She shut her computer and loaded her papers. She got up and wrapped her computer bag around her shoulder. “I got to go. And listen, don’t tell Lance about any of this. I gave my solemn oath that I wouldn’t tell anybody. But I know that you will be more involved than we think.” Then she straightened her wrinkled shirt, and walked out, leaving Shannon speechless.

Red Hood

First of all, let me say that this weekend has mainly been about Batman.  I drove all the way to Walmart to buy Batman Silly Bands.  I have never been a fan of the craze that people give it.  But I always said that I would only wear a Batman Silly Band if they ever came out.  And of course, they come out with one.  I had to pay $4 for a pack, but hey, you can never go cheap on Batman.

Something else to continue my Batman crave was renting the new animated movie 'Batman: Under the Red Hood.'  I will be perfectly honest.  I really was unsure about watching it.  Since the release of the japanese anime film 'Gotham Knight', I have been hesitant about watching anything that strays from the style and storyline to the Batman series back when I was a child.  But what was comforting about this movie was that I could recognize the same style that I have been searching for.  And the plot was amazing!  So I figured I would talk about it during this post.  Beware, alot of spoilers are going to be in here!

First off, a list of the characters.  If you were born in my day, you will know that there is of course Batman, and then there is Dick Grayson that is the original Robin, then grows into the title Nightwing.  And we then saw Tim Drake take over the Robin title.  But in the comics, and then in this movie, Jason Todd takes over the title way before Drake ever takes over.

The story starts out when we find out that Raz Al Ghul has hired the Joker to distract Batman by kidnapping Robin (Jason Todd).  The Joker has taken Robin to an abandoned town in Bosnia, and has trapped in a store house of sorts.  Not approved by Ghul, the Joker beats Robin to a pulp with a crowbar to near death.  He leaves Robin for dead before Batman arrives.  When Robin comes to, he attempts to escape, but is trapped.  He then discovers that the Joker planted a bomb, set to go off in seconds.  The building explodes seconds before Batman enters.  The scene ends with Batman picking up his dead fallen comrade.

Time goes forward five years.   We see a new crime lord known as the Red Hood appear and makes his name known through the crime bosses.  He manages to get them to deal with him, except from Black Mask.  Batman and Nightwing then take down a shipment of cargo containing one android that was supposed to go to Black Mask.  When the android is destroyed, Batman finds out that the people running the shipment answer to Red Hood.  We then see Red Hood assasinate the men, and run off with Batman and Nightwing chasing him.

The chase ends when Red Hood escapes while a train passes through, and ends his appearance by saying, "You've lost your touch."  When Batman returns to the Batcave, he starts questioning why Red Hood would say that.  After running voice recognition tests, he is shocked to find out that the voice of Red Hood and Jason Todd are a perfect match.

Black Mask then puts a hit out on Red Hood.  After nearly being killed by Mask's thugs, Red Hood is rescued by Batman.  After a long talk, Batman cannot find any resolutions with Red Hood.  Red Hood leaves, and Batman manages to find a small peice of Red Hood's DNA to find the truth.  Alfred goes into shock when Batman confirms that Red Hood is indeed Jason.

Batman then goes to speak to Raz Al Ghul to find out what really happen.  Ghul tells Batman that it was not his intention for Todd to be killed.  He realized that it was his fault to put the Joker in charge of the scheme.  He tells Batman that he replaces Todd's body with a fake to fool Batman and starts this process of returning Batman's "Son" to him.  The puts the body of Todd in the Lazerus Pit, known to rejuvinate an old body to new and even possibly return a person from death.  It is a success, but Todd goes crazy and flees the scene.  He tells Batman that he believed him to be dead until right then.

Back in Gotham, Black Mask breaks into Arkham and hires the Joker to kill Red Hood.  But instead, the Joker uses Black Mask as bait to lure Red Hood himself.  But that was Red Hood's plan as well.  The two discuss, and the Joker realizes that there is something familiar with Red Hood, but is not sure who.  Batman then breaks up the scene by sending then into the waters with his Batwing.  He looses them, but Red Hood invites Batman to the crime alleys in Gotham.

Red Hood puts the Joker in one of the abandoned apartments in the crime alleys.  He decides to help the Joker remember by beating the Joker to the pulp with a crowbar.  The scene quickly changes to the rooftops of Gotham where Batman and Red Hood meet.  Red Hood manages to take off Batman's mask, exposing him as Bruce Wayne.  Red Hood takes his mask off exposing himself as Jason Todd, still wearing the Robin mask that he always wore.  After they argue, they fight.

Batman ends the fight by throwing Todd through a wall leading in the room where the Joker is held.  Todd confesses that he forgiven Batman for not saving him, that there was nothing that he could do, but what he could not forgive was keeping the Joker alive after what he did to Todd.  And his entire goal since his resurrection was to exact revenge on the Joker.  Batman confesses that he wanted to, but he felt that if he did kill him, he would become the very same thing that he fought to destroy.  Todd puts a gun to the Joker's head and throws another gun at Batman.  He says that if Batman won't kill the Joker, then he will, and if Batman didn't want that to happen, he would have to kill him.

Batman throws the gun down and walks away.  Todd yells threats and instead pulls the trigger on Batman.  Batman dodges, and disarms Todd at the same time.  In a last effort to kill the Joker, Todd detonates a bomb that goes off in 20 seconds.  Batman attempts to disarm it, but the Joker prevails in stopping him.  In the last few seconds, Batman decides to leave the Joker for death, and grabs Todd to escape.  The building explodes.  Batman survives, along with the Joker.  Todd is nowhere to be found.

Now, many people say that he survived the explosion, but there is no solid evidence to prove that he did survive.  Anyways, the Black Mask is arrested, but is released on 1 Million dollar bail, and the Joker is sent back to Arkam.  The final scenes is in the Batcave when Batman begins to head out into the city.  Alfred points to the suit once used by Todd, asking if he should remove it.  Batman says no, that nothing has changed.  This either means that he did die, which nothing has changed, or that he did survive, but he his not who Batman once knew.

Batman gets into the Batmobile and drives off.  Alfred then has a flash back to when Todd first takes on the Robin suit.  Batman urges him to hurry to get on patrol.  Todd attempts to scare Batman by hiding behind the computer, but fails.  Then Todd rushes over to the Batmobile to start the patrol.  The movie ends as Todd says that that day is the "Best day of his life'.

Ah, how sad the end made me feel.  It was awesome and seldom at the same time.  I enjoyed how the story was written.  And the action was awesome.  But what was really sad was Todd's death, his search for revenge, and his un-desired resurrection.

Thriving Ivory

Well guys, the official release date for Brian Mcfadden's 'Just Say So' single is planned to be released on September 19th.  The funny thing about this was that the rough draft of this post said that I had no idea when the single would be released.  I guess it's a good thing that I waited on releasing it.  I am very excited about it, and I will keep you updated on it.    There is some more good news.  There is a band that will be releasing their new album soon.  And they already have a single out for it.  Yes, I'm talking about Thriving Ivory.

When Delta Goodrem was really popular on VH1, I started to notice the music video for Thriving Ivory.  'Angels on the Moon' had a catchy sound to it, along with a retro 80's sound.  After listening to the song on the TV a few times, I eventually broke down and got their song.  And I was very impressed!  It then led me to buying their debut album.

Actually, I think Delta and Thriving Ivory performed together at a concert.  That was back when real good songs were hitting the air ways and were making really popular on VH1 and on the charts.  Thriving Ivory made 'You 'Otta Know' artist on VH1 and made it very popular in many places.

Their songs such as 'Alien' and 'Runaway' are very good, and keeps you listening over and over.  I remember when I first bought the album, I kept it on replay and it played the same songs for hours.  Then they started releaseing a few singles, which didn't go on radio.  'Flowers for a Ghost' and 'Kiss the Rain' are favorites of mine, and I sing 'Kiss the Rain' in my shower every night.  Don't tell anybody though.

Then they released their new song for their new album, 'Through Yourself and Back Again'.  The song is titled 'Where We Belong', and it is by far the best song that they have released.  While some parts sounds random, it all comes together and to me gives hope and strength.  It doesn't seem to have made a huge impact on Itunes, but I assure you, it will soon enough!

So I encourage you to buy the new single and then I encourage you to buy the new album coming September 14th!!

Thunder: Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Katie sat in her usual seat in the school library. She was wearing her reading glasses, and had her hair up with a pencil through it. She was typing a few key words into her personal search engine that she created. She was still helping Lance with the blueprints with his suit. She had spent the last two nights looking up everything that he would need with his fight of crime.

Everything she looked at gave her new ideas for the design of the suit. She had just finished looking for the price of the arm parts of the suit when she noticed a staring face out of the corner of her eye. She ignored it and continued making notes on her spare paper.

But the face came closer to her as she continued to stare at the computer. She then decided that it was no use to ignore it, and looked up. To her, what she saw was a vision of heaven. He was a well built male with a shirt that was able to show off his abs, pants that were dark blue, and very rugged at the bottom. And he had blonde shaggy hair that managed to stay straight.

He smiled and finally managed to work up the courage to speak to her. “Hi, im Cayden. Sorry for stalking to you. I didn’t know how to approach you.”

Katie smiled, and laughed at what he said. She took her reading glasses off to show that he had her undivided attention. “Oh its alright, just doing some light research.” And at that time she picked up her notes and shut them up with her computer. Like every girl, her social life was very important, and helping Lance with a suicidal stunt could wait. “Hi, my name is Katie,” she lifted her hand so that he could shake it. He did, and then took it back.

“Im sorry for coming up like this, but seeing you really caught my eye. You are just beautiful.”

Katie was very surprised, and greatful for this, and soon blushed. “Why thank you,” she said.

He shrugged his shoulders to show that it was nothing. “Anyways,” he said, “If your not busy any time soon, maybe we could…maybe we could…”

“Go on a date?” she helped him finish.

He laughed at his lack of words. “Yes,” he said.

“I would like that,” she replied. But then she looked at her computer and she remembered that she already had something on her hands. “I’ll let you know when I have a free moment.”

Cayden’s smile soon went away. “Is this a form of rejection?”

“Oh no, its just that I have things I need to take care of. But when I can clear all of it up I’ll be sure to let you know.

“Okay then,” he said. And he then reached into his pocket and pulled out a pen. Then we went towards a piece of scrap paper next to Katie. And he wrote a number, and handed it to her. “Call me sometime,” he said, and he walked off.

Unsure

I cannot seem to wrap my head around anything these days.  Everything has been so overwhelming that I feel like I am in this sort of black hole of strain and emotions.  And some people said that when I started college, it would be like a vacation.  But so far it is turning out to be my every thought, even though my mind is somewhere else.  And then of course, there is other things clouding my mind as well.

I have woken up every day for the past week thinking of all of the things that I could accomplish.  But I just wind up sitting in a corner in my room and dreading everything.  It is probably because I know the big stack of homework stares at me the entire time.  It's not like I have to do impossible chemical equations or something in that field.

It is a TON of reading.  I don't think I have done this much extensive reading since my 8th grade year, or early in my high school days.  I am assigned 20-30 pages every other day in my History class, a chapter in my Public Speaking class, and over 50 pages in my English class every Friday.  I spend alot of my time cutting down the amount of pages to read, and as soon as I am done, the pile increases.  And this is reading based on nothing.  I understand why reading a history book is important, but reading how to form a paragraph or reading how scared you are when talking in front of a group seems pointless to me unless a teacher is explaining it to me at the same time.

And I think what is more embarassing is that I am only taking 13 credit hours this semester, while some are taking 18 or 20, and I can't seem to keep up with what I have right now.  This is coming from a person that graduated with honors and is now in the ambassador program.  I shouldn't feel like I want to live in the past.  Instead I should be happy that I'm moving forward.

Another thing that has captured most of my attention is that my sister got a job yesterday.  Just one little detail, it's where I work as well.  Don't get me wrong, I am so happy that she is getting a job.  She deserves one just like everybody else.  But I think we will be the first siblings working together.  They should outlaw it.  No, that is too rude of me.

The reason I feel this way is because it took me 3 years to finally find a job.  And this job is something I take very seriously.  I treasure the new friends that I have made there in the process.  People have told me that they enjoy working with me and I think everybody knows that they can depend on me.  But what happens when your sister starts working with you?

I just have a gut in my feeling that we will have little arguments during our time together.  What will people think if and when I get on to her because she is not doing something right or that she gets on to me because she feels that I am trying to control her?  Not only does that reflect on me among my co-workers, but that makes me look unprofessional towards my customers.

But is not only the fact that I don't want her to work because I don't want to look bad.  People like to talk about someone who doesn't do something right or something not up to their standards.  And what if a customer blesses her out like they do to me all the time?  I don't want to walk around and hear something bad about her.  I don't want to say something and cause a scene, but I also don't want to sit back and do nothing while someone talks about her.

But maybe I am looking too far into it.  Maybe my managers think that she can do the job by judging how I perform.  And it is an accurate conclusion because I have seen her in action, and she can do it.  And who knows, maybe we will a compatable team on the work floor.  There is just way too many things that make me feel that this is a bad idea.  I have prayed alot about it though.  I know that whatever happens is God's path, and I just need to finally follow it.

Thanks for listening.  It was nice to get all of this off of my chest.  See you soon!

McNugget

You probably remember me talking about Brian McFadden's recent album a few months ago.  Back in April, Brian released his 3rd studio album, 'Wall of Soundz'.  He announced that the album would have a worldwide release on the 23rd of that month.  That month rolled around, and only Australia got the release, I think.

Now, I don't think it was Brian's intention to release only in Australia.  I think he was really excited to release worldwide.  But you know record deals.  You gotta get the right deal and promote and stuff like that.  I think he was still working out a deal when the album was released.  But still, myself and many other hungry Brian McFadden fans were disappointed when we didn't get a release.

He then announced on his twitter, known as brianmcnugget, that he was scheduling a August date for his first single 'Just Say So'.  That brings the point of this post.  This month is nearly over, and no release so far.  There is only 2 more dates for it to be released on Itunes.  And that would be tomorrow, and the following Tuesday.  It really makes me think that if it isn't released on either of those dates, then when will we ever get it?

I saw a interview with Brian published today on Perez Hilton's site.  They mainly talked about his past and future, with Delta Goodrem, and his five tatoos, which I didn't know he had that many!  While they didn't give a specific date, they did act like a release would be soon.  But that could always change.  But it got me thinking, maybe the video was a promotion tactic.  It has gotten over 6,000 views, which is pretty good.  And that makes me think that maybe tomorrow is a possible release.

So anyways, I tried really hard today to get a look at the Itunes releases for tomorrow and see if he was releasing anything, but nothing.  And Brian hasn't mentioned anything either.  So I really hope that tomorrow is the day, and if not, I hope we hear a specific date soon!  Stay tuned!

Thunder: Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Bonnie set down the pan of bacon and began giving each other portions. She sat down and looked at Lance. “So are you going to wear that rag from now on?”

Lance finished chewing his bacon. He had already hurt Bonnie emotionally. The last thing he wanted to do was to not use manners in front of her. “Of course not,” he said, finishing his last bite, “Im going to make a suit.”

“A costume?” She said.

“Well yes,” he said.

“Well I guess we can get material and fix you up one.”

Katie set her fork down, and wiped her face with her paper towel. “Well Bonnie, its going to need to be state of the art. If you want Lance, I’ll start working on the blueprints.”

He smiled and said, “That would be great.” They both then went back to their breakfast. But Bonnie was not yet finished.

“Well before we do anything, we have to know what your going to be. What is it, Batboy or Spiderwonder?”

“Well not exactly,” he said.

Katie decided to ask a question herself. Clearly this had been bothering her as well. “Well do you have an idea of what you want to be?”

He sat there for a moment, looking at his nearly empty plate. All sorts of ideas had been racing through him. But he knew the one thing that would be perfect for him. “When I beat all of those guys down at the docks, I looked into the sky, and I saw a lightning strike. And I knew right then and there that it meant something. I think that it would be perfect.”

“Why do you think that?” Katie said.

“Because people fear lightning. If I could dress like someone like that, I could show them that im truly a vicious person. And that’s the type of thing that I need.”

“So you want to be called Lightning?” Bonnie questioned.

Lance and Katie looked at eachother. “Nah,” they both said.

Lance took the lead, “Yeah, that’s way to corny. Besides, the after math of the lightning is way more scary.”

Bonnie looked at Katie and she soon realized what he was talking about. “Thunder,” she said.

“Yep,” he said. They all gained a grin on their face, and Lance started to eat the remains of his breakfast.

Violent

My first week of college has come to a close, and the new week begins tomorrow...great.  People talk of freedom and a very easy life while in college.  Right now, I think of it as a inconvience and a waste of my time.  I don't want to read all of these pages that have been assigned to me every other day.  My week probably consists of reading 100 pages a week.  And that's on boring stuff, like how to write a paper the right way, not like Harry Potter and Star Wars.  I found out really quick that those days are OVER!

My current form of stablity is my job, and even that is unstable right now.  All of the changes with management has put everyone on edge, some fearful of losing their job.  But the job itself seems to keep me busy, and not concerned about the other stuff going on.

Although, Saturday was the first day on the job that I wanted to kill someone with my mind.  I was literally choking on my own anger.  This guy that used to work there has started hanging out there alot lately.  Not only does he flirt with the girl workers and make them feel very uncomfortable, but he tells everyone how to do our job like we can't do it ourselves.

It really didn't bother me until he comes and just walks with me everywhere I go.  Not only that, but he totally messes up my station's game.  He makes the game way longer that it should have been (right after I get blessed out because my co-worker was a hour behind on the games and then leaves the job to me during shift changes).  And then he goes and gives these hot girls a 5,000 point bonus befor the game even starts, and then ends the game right at random.  I have alot of patience at work, but he was pushing it really hard that day.

When I got to another co-worker, I told them to keep him out of my sight before I start slitting some throats.  Now that I think about it, it was very unprofessional of me.  But hey, he made me very mad.  He left my station and never returned, but he stayed in the building the entire time I think.  But I'm not too concerned, he will be leaving very soon.

Well, now that I got that off of my chest, I feel so much better.  I will talk to you all soon!

Thunder: Chapter 9.5

Chapter 9.5- The Truth

Lance finally made it to the driveway of his house. He had a stitch in his chest. That cold water had affected him more than he thought it did. He walked as fast as his body could take him. When he reached closer to the house, he saw Katie’s car. Why was she here?

He reached the door knob and turned it. He went through it in a hurry and shut it. The first thing he saw was Bonnie and Katie in the kitchen. They both screamed. Bonnie quickly went into her secret kitchen draw, and pulled out a pistol. She quickly ran towards Lance and pointed it at him. Lance knew this wasn’t good.

“Whoa don’t Bonnie! Its me, Lance.” He pulled the mask off revealing his face and his wet hair.

“Oh my god Lance you scared us to death!” she said.

“Sorry.”

“Where the hell have you been?”

“Uh,” he started, “Jogging.”

“Uh huh,” she said. “And I guess you got so energized you decided to swim too.”

Lance looked around him. He was drenched, and the floor around him. “Possibly.”

“How dare you do such a thing!”

“I guess you know,” he said.

“Of course I know! Its all over the news! Mystery detective strikes again! I thought it had to be someone else because only someone stupid would do something like that. But I should have know that you would do it!”

“Someone had to do something.” He said.

“Yes, the police!”

“No they wouldn’t,” he said, “I got a report from our database and they were going to ignore it. I have been on this guy’s tail. I just wasn’t going to let him go free without a fight.”

Bonnie turned around and went to the kitchen and threw the pistol on the counter. Then she looked at the tv screen while Sandra was still going into depth about the story.

“You see that? They know that someone did that! And if they trace it to you, they will arrest you for tampering in police affairs.”

“They won’t,” he said, “I was covered so they didn’t see my face. I walked there so they don’t know how I got there.”

“And that makes me feel all better!”

Lance tried to get comfort from Katie. But when he looked at her he only got a surprised expression. He moved closer into the house. “Now lets just all calm down.”

“Yeah your right,” she said, “Lets just calm down.”

She sat down in the dining room chair. It was quiet for a good while. She finally broke the silence, “Well now that you have had your fun there won’t be no need to worry about it now.”

“Uh yeah about that,” he said.

“I don’t like the sound of this,” Katie finally spoke.

“Neither do I,” Bonnie agreed.

“Well I’m going to keep doing this,” he said.

Bonnie looked at him. “As a crime fighter huh?”

“Yeah”.

She looked at him and laughed.

“What?”

“You can’t be serious,” she said. She couldn’t stop laughing.

“I am.”

Bonnie and Katie looked at him. “Oh my god your serious,” Katie said.

Lance nodded.

“I think you have gone crazy,” Bonnie said.

“Someone needs to save this city,” he said, “I didn’t realize this until last night. Canton has always been known for pride and prosperity. But that’s just a mask for its true self. The city is full of drugs, crime and petty. The people in charge puts a mask over the truth so they can continue to be the respected people they are. And they corrupt our law enforcements so they are able to ignore the truth. That’s got to stop.”

Bonnie stopped laughing. Lance did have a point. But she shook the thought out of her head. “So what do you plan to do?”

Lance was glad he finally got their attention on a serious level. “I want to unmask the city by wiping out the crime, drugs and petty. I want the city to rid of its secrets and be able to maintain it’s pride.”

Bonnie jumped up in protest. “You can’t do this, I won’t let you. You’re not Batman, Superman, or any kind of super hero. Your just a kid.”

“I’m well capable. I learned most of the martial arts, and I’m well motivated.”

“What do you mean well motivated,” she asked.

Lance sighed. This was something he wanted to avoid. “I was only outside my mom’s office when she died.” He saw Bonnie’s expression sadden. “I wanted to find who killed her. But I didn’t because I thought the so called Police would catch them. They didn’t. Now it’s my turn to help people who are like the way I was. I’m going to do this Bonnie, whether or not you approve.”

It was silent. No responses. Then Bonnie dropped a tear on her bed robe. “A week before your mom died, I promised her that I would protect you, care for you like you were my own. I would betray her so much by letting you do something so suicidal.”

Katie looked at Lance. She walked close to her and knelt beside her.

“Like it or not he is going to do it,” Katie said.

“You can’t shield me forever Bonnie,” Lance said.

Bonnie wiped another tear from her eye and looked at him. “I know,” she said. And she got up and hugged him. “I wish I could though.”

And she released him. She held back more tears. “Well then,” she said, “I guess there’s nothing more to say about it. We’ll talk more over breakfast.” And she turned and walked towards the heated pan.

Lance looked towards Katie and saw the same expression. It was like he had given Bonnie his death sentence.

Tribulation

This long gap of not writing has been very unnerving.  It has been very hard to put stuff into words.  This post has been the first post that has taken me 3 days to write.  When I try to write it, my mind wanders off to the many different things going on.  This new step in my life, College, has been the focus of my life right now.  Not that I want it to be this way, it just seems to work this way.

I spent last Thursday getting to know the campus that I won't even be attending until at least next year.  Though, I did seem to be in the spotlight a few times.  I just walk into the building and they point me out as a school ambassador.  They told me to stand up and wave and they said that if they needed anything, come and see me for questions.  I have still yet to take my training session with the program, and already they are sending people my way to ask questions.

The good thing is that I managed to walk out of there without paying one dime for my books.  How exciting!  Apparently my scholarship went towards my books, so this semester I have no bills to pay!  That's more money in the bank to earn interest!  I'm always looking for the long-time picture!

On Monday I started college.  It was a very strange and worrying experience.  My only class was math, and that was in the afternoon.  On Tuesday, it featured History, Public Speaking and Math again.  The funny thing on that day was that one of my teachers told my class that she doesn't mind if we miss a few days and tell us about it.  But what she said is and I quote,"You wanna know what happens to people who lie about not coming to my class?  They go to hell!" Can you believe that.  But she appears crazy as a bat so I am not that concerned.

But yesterday and today has been sorta of a routine.  Tomorrow though, I start my Friday class.  I should have taken the Fridays off like my advisor offered to me.  But you know what, there is a ton of people that is doing double, if not triple what I'm doing.  So you know what?  I'm not going to complain.

But you know, I can blame my stress on school, but the truth is that there is other things that bother me.  My dad came home on Tuesday saying that his dentist found a spot on his gums.  Whether it is precancerous or cancerous, we don't know yet.  But the fact that the worst case scenario is a possibility, it sorta freaks you out.  It has been in the back of my mind all week now.  He has dipped for the past year or so, so that increases the risks, if not causes it.  But everybody seems to be fine and is confident that everything will be okay, so I guess I need to as well.  We should never freak out until we know certain things.  I'll let you know how that things go.

Other than that, there is something else that is eating at me.  It is something that continues to pop up in my head over time, but now it just seems to be all I can think about.  I guess with all this other stuff going on, I wanna think about other things.  I don't know if it concerns a general thing, or something in specific, but I know that I have put more thought into it than I realize.  Sorry, you don't get to know about it!  Sometimes, some things are just better left unsaid...

Well there you have it folks.  Three days worth of writing.  I know, it isn't much, but when you have so much thinking going on, and not alot of motivation to write, not alot comes out.  Hopefully I'll be able to return to my old routine, and post regularly.  We'll see how it goes!

Thunder: Chapter 9

Chapter 9- The Truth

Bonnie rose from her bed, and looked at the clock beside her. It was six thirty, the same time that she always woke up on a Saturday. She got up, and put on her robe, and went down to the kitchen, to start some breakfast. She put her bedroom shoes on, and headed to lance’s room to wake him up. When she looked in he wasn’t there. And his bed was made. He must have left to go to meet with Katie, she thought. She closed the door and slowly walked down the steps.

At her age, it was kind of hard. But she some how managed. She was a confident and independent woman. She always told Lance that nothing would ever slow her down. And she prayed that it could be true.

She got a pan out of the cabinet, and laid it on the hot oven plate. She sprayed some olive oil in the pan so the bacon wouldn’t stick. She poured a cup of coffee from the fresh pot. She sat down for a moment, and turned on the television to CNC.

She turned it on just in time for Good Morning Canton with the host Sandra Wallace. The show started out with the show’s theme song, and a bold voice saying, “This is Good Morning Canton. Live in downtown Canton with our host Sandra Wallace.” After showing a visual of the busy downtown, the camera soon focused on Sandra in the studio. Her face full of makeup gave a glare in the camera.

Wallace gave a smile, showing her pearly white teeth before speaking. “Good morning Canton on this Saturday morning. We have a special report to start our show. Last night five men were arrested after being involved in a drug bust. Mike Holland has the latest.”

This news caught Bonnie’s attention. She drunk her coffee intently. The television set then shifted to a dock yard, with a man with most of his teeth capped. “Thank you Sandra,” Holland started out. He smiled, exposing more teeth, clearly excited about the news. “Well it seems like our mystery detectives…”.

The door bell rang. Bonnie’s mind then shifted back to reality. She set her cup down and went to the door. She saw Katie when she opened. Why was she here without Lance? “Why what a surprise Katie,” she said. She poked her head out the door and looked for Lance. He wasn’t there. “Where’s Lance at?”

“What”, Katie replied.

“Well isn’t he with you? He wasn’t in his room and his bed was made. I assumed he was with you.”

“I haven’t seen him since last night.”

“Then where is he?”

“I don’t know, but there is someone that is trying to look like us.”

“What are you talking about?”

Katie pulled her to the TV screen. Mike Holland was still there, talking about the recent subject that occurred.

“It appears that our mystery detectives stopped this crime in the flesh. Instead of using their computer skill, they used their physical strength to bring this crime lord down. One of the men involved in the crime can conscious and was talking about a person dressed in black, and disappeared as soon as lightning flashed across the sky. Police denies these claims, and says that police officials came when an anonymous caller tipped them. But personally Sandra, I think they detectives tried to inform police, but when rejected, they did the job themselves. Back to you Sandra.”

Bonnie’s jaw dropped. “Was it you?”

“Of course not,” she said, “I would have to be stupid to do something like that.”

“Then who was it?”

Just then the front door opened and a person dressed in black, soaking wet appeared.

Thunder: Chapter 8

Chapter 8

He had barley made it. His hands were on the rails, and he struggled to hold on, for the boat was now moving. The cold wind was beating on him, forcing him to use every bit of strength to hold on. He was able to use his upper body strength to pull himself up, and to come onto the boat.

Johnny was able to lock the door that lead into the control room. He clutched onto the steering wheel, control the boat from the wind. Water splashed on the windows, making it hard to see. He looked on the scanner; only a few miles till he reached the place where he dropped off the shipment.

He could be ruined for this. If the person who ruined the shipment was apart of the police, or any legal association, they could easily find him.

Something was now pounding against the door. Whoever had beat Nosaj’s men was now on the boat. The door wouldn’t last long. He rummaged through the drawers, and then found a pistol. He would be ready.

Lance kicked and tackled the door. It was starting to break down. After a few more kicks, he was able to knock it down completely. He saw the man controlling the boat. With Lance knocking the door down, the man put the ship on auto pilot, letting the boat control itself.

Johnny grabbed the gun, and ran towards Lance. He wasn’t going to quit this far. He tried to hit Lance with the handle of the gun, but only hit the wall. He withdrew it, and tried to point it at Lance to pull the trigger.

Lance caught his wrist, and swung it back to point the gun at the opposite direction as Johnny pulled the trigger. Lance heard Johnny’s wrist crack and soon realized it was broken.

Johnny yelled in pain as he grabbed his wrist. He put pressure on it to try to ease the pain. The bullet that was shot hit the control panel, causing a fire to break. It wouldn’t be long until it would cause the whole boat to explode. He knew he had to get out, and fast. He dodged a swing with Johnny’s good arm. It hit the opposite wall, and when Lance had the chance, he pushed Johnny’s face towards the wall, knocking him out.

Sparks and flames started to fly around the room, making the room so intensely hot. The boat wouldn’t be able to hold much longer. Lance started to leave, but stopped and looked at the mess below him. He picked up Johnny, and braced him with his shoulders.

He coughed as smoke filled the room. He set Johnny down, and grabbed two life jackets. They were going to have to swim once they jumped off the boat. He buckled a life jacket on Johnny, and then one for himself. He opened the door that led to outside. The wind was beating down hard. The rain was hitting even harder. He threw Johnny into the cold water, and he followed.

The icy water dropped the temperature in his body. The cold was starting to set in. They couldn’t last long in this kind of weather. He pulled Johnny’s life jacket, and started to swim towards the shore.

The boat soon exploded, lighting the water with red flames and smoke. He ducked under water to avoid fire hitting them. The fire warmed the water, but only a little.

They finally made it to the shore, breathless. Johnny was still unconscious. Lance threw Johnny onto the solid ground. He could hear sirens coming. They finally got the message that something was truly going on. He had done all that he could do. The rain had finally subsided. He looked at the ball of flames into the ocean.

He looked up farther into the sky. The lightning looked like fireworks. Then, when it looked like it was over, a big bolt of lightning flashed, spider webbing across the sky. He looked at it for the longest time.

He could see the police car light shining. They were getting close. The bolt of lightning disappeared, bringing Lance back into reality. He turned around, and ran towards his motorbike, and started to head home, as the police entered the dockyards, and they sun started to shine over the city.

Deja Vu

Today I finished my summer job.  You have no idea how excited I am about it.  I hate to admit it, and I wish I hadn't, but I feel that I wished my summer away because of this job.  Everytime I go in there, I felt like a deer in a headlight.  I feel that I was handed more responsibilty and liablity than I was led on to believe.  And the kids, wow, they seem way more wild and un-obedient than anyone in my class in was their age.  Although, they do seem to act alike now.  Anyways, it was an experience, but I don't think I will be returning to that chapter in my life again.

Something funny though, I had a serious case of Deja Vu today.  I could swear that I was reliving a moment today when I was watching a lifeguard telling kids the rules about playing in the creek.  I just zoned out and I kept trying to grasp on to that feeling of experiencing the same thing.  I think that was my time experiencing Deja Vu, and everytime I seem to spend most of my time trying to remember where I felt that same feeling.  I guess everybody does.

Speaking of Deja Vu, Mike Posner released his new album today.  '31 Minutes to Takeoff' was released early this morning and has since made the top album charts on Itunes.  His first single from the album, 'Cooler than Me' has been on the top for some time, so of course people were going to see what all he had to offer.  And it's a very cheap price, so I don't see why people don't buy it.

I just have one thing to say about it.  When I listen to this album, I get the feeling that I'm listening to "Forbidden" contents, if that even makes sense.  "Naughty" is not the word I would use, but it certainly isn't the innocent lyrics like Delta Goodrem.  But for some reason, I already like the album.  And maybe the "Forbidden" feel is why I keep listening to it.  Who knows.  But don't take my word on it, buy it and see for yourself!

Well guys, it's been fun but I'm actually going to go to bed early.  I'll talk to you all soon.

Thunder: Chapter 7.5

Chapter 7.5

He picked the gun up. And he withdrew himself from his hiding spot. The men spotted him, and started to gather around him. He pointed his only protection at him: The Gun.

They paused, and they laughed. After seeing Lance’s one gun, they all pointed their guns at him. “Looks like your outnumbered,” Billy said with a grin.

Lance looked at the light above them. He suddenly got a sense of courage. He spoke with a bold voice. “Maybe,” he said, “But can you shoot me in the dark?”

The men all had a confused look on their face. Lance lowered the gun from them, and when they walked towards him, he quickly pointed the gun at the big lamp, and pulled the trigger.

They all covered their ears from the shot. Then the light soon went out, shrouding them in darkness. It now was his chance to advance.

Nosaj covered his ears from the blast. What had happened? Had the police already found them? Johnny was then in front of him, trying to cover him if somebody was to shoot him.

“You better bail,” he said, “Just go, I’ll take care of this.”

Nosaj didn’t hesitate to argue. Now was his time to get away freely. “Thanks,” he said. Johnny nodded for his thanks. Then he motioned for him to leave.

He quickly headed down from the boat, trying to avoid any shots. There not too far from the boat was Johnny’s car. He was able to spot it by the lightning shining the sky. He got in, and rolled down the window.

“Get in here!” he yelled at his men.

Lance heard the man yelling, and he knew he couldn’t let them get away clean. So he ran towards one of the men, guided by the light of quick lightning strikes. He rammed into him, tackling him to the ground. He was quickly unconscious. Lance jumped back up quickly, to avoid a blow from a man, setting revenge on the last man.

When the man was bent down, Lance kicked him to send him flying backwards. He did a back flip to avoid several hits, and resent the blows.

When some of the men knew that the chance of the police near, they quickly fled, heading to the running car. Billy was the leader heading to it. They quickly jumped in, and when the car was filled, Nosaj punched the gas pedal, speeding them out of the dockyards.

He stared at the fleeing car, knowing that there was nothing he could do. He grabbed some rope from the nearby docks, squinting his eyes trying to find some, and tied all of the unconscious men, and setting them aside of one of the storage units.

Then the motor from the boat in front of him was started, and the lights from the boat were lit. To Lance, it looked like the captain was trying to flee also, and take the shipment of drugs with him. Lance ran, as hard as he could, and when he was able to, he jumped to get on the boat.

Overwhelmed

This week has been almost overpowering.  Yesterday concluded my 53rd hour of working for this week.  Nearly 45 hours at one job, and 8 hours at the other one.  It all has been a little bit too much.  Then I loose alot of sleep because I wind up having to work a few hours after work, and then I have to wake up up bright and early the next morning to start it all again.  And yet they wanted me to stay longer last night.  But I said no, uh huh, because I was not going to stay another minute longer.

I was certainly in a bad mood after that.  I was just extremely exhausted.  And I went to a family picnic, and I think everybody could tell that I was not happy at all.  I just wanted to rest my head on my pillow and sleep a few days.  But next week will be the last week for awhile that things will be busy.  My summer job will be over, thank god, and my hours at my more permenant job will be cut in half.  Yay!!  And I will also have my Ambassador program to work on, so I will still be busy, along with college.

Wow, it is so hard to believe that I will be starting college in a week!  It feels like yesterday when I was graduating.  I just finally got my diploma on my desk and now I am moving on to the big school.  I feel like I'm not ready for it.  But I guess now is as good of a time as ever!  I guess I'm just going to have to take it one day at a time.

Well, that is all I have to say right now.  Talk to you soon!

Thunder: Chapter 7

Chapter 7

He knew that it would be dangerous. They were probably waiting for someone to stop them, and would be waiting to kill anybody that tried to stop them.

Bonnie would kill him if she knew what he was about to do. But somebody had to do it. He ran to the locker that was beside his punching bag. It contained a black suit, and a black boggan. He put them both on, and headed out the door.

He got off his motor bike at the entrance to the dockyards. He took the motorbike to disguise himself. It was cold, and he could already feel a sneeze coming on him.

He could see the men, and the shipment of drugs. They had nearly finished loading the boat. He didn’t have much time. He stood against a wall, trying to hide himself.

He soon gave away his position when he yelped. He thought somebody was behind him, and when he turned around and looked, he only saw a cat. This angered him. He got caught, by the being scared of a cat.

Billy, finally setting down a package, nudged a guy.

“Did you hear that?” he questioned.

“Sure did”

Billy handed him a gun, and pointed towards the sudden sound. “Go over there and check it out.”

The man agreed, and headed towards Lance’s direction. The man shuddered when he got closer, and closer. He didn’t know what waited for him behind the darkness.

Lance shook with fear. There was no where else to hide. And if the man found him, he would surely kill him.

The man walked right up next to Lance, but didn’t see him. Lance didn’t dare make a sound. But the breath coming from lance’s nose touched the man’s skin lightly.

Lance knew he had to do something. The man looked in his direction, and was shocked. And before he could point his gun at Lance, Lance punched him in the face.

The man yelled in pain, and crashed to the ground. Lance looked over at the men at the dockyards. They finally dropped what they were doing to see what happened, and what caused that noise. A man yelled at them to come back and to get back to work, but they ignored him.

Nosaj was angered that the men were distracted by an unimportant matter. What was it that drew their attention?

Lance tried to think of things to do to get away from them. What was I thinking, he thought. He shouldn’t have come. He should have just let the police in charge. But now he was in the middle of this mess, and he had to think of a way to get himself out.

The men were now under the main light that produced light for them. Rain started to pour from the dense sky, soaking Lance all over. He looked down at the man he knocked out, and found his gun laying beside him. It was his only chance.

Gone

As if the Law and Order franchise couldn't take another hit...

All day today, you will probably see headline news on Yahoo about the latest bomb for Criminal Intent.  Yes, Jeff Goldblum has quit the show, whether or not it will return for a 10th season.  You will be seeing it trending on Yahoo and Twitter, and you will also hear cheers from hardcore fans who have rebelled against the show the entire 9th season.

According to this article, Jeff decided to leave the show "due to the uncertainty" about the show's future".  The report also says that it is not a negotiating tactic, and when Goldblum's option with Dick Wolf was up, he decided to part ways.

He probably realized that the low ratings were because of the rebellion by fans due to the shakeup with Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian leaving during the beginning of season 9.  Ratings dropped quite a bit, about 2-3 million.  Do the math, it's not good at all.

While the 9th season was good, and it explored different character stories and stuff like that, it never reached the character depth and detail like the show had back during season 6 & 7.  And now word is that with low ratings, the departure of Goldblum may break the camel's back and cancel the show for good.

While some people feel that the cancellation in long overdue, I feel that something needs to be done in order to make the fans at peace with the show.  The season 9 finale was not enough to keep us happy if it is the finale.  Want to know what would make us all very happy.  Return Vincent and Kathryn for a few episodes, maybe 8-13 to completely end the show.  While they have promised to never return, this recent event may change everything.  And USA may actually realize that they made a mistake and ask them back.

So really, that's all I know right now.  I felt that this needed to be addressed as soon as possible because you know how much of a Law and Order freak I am.  I will let you know if I hear anything else!

Ambassador

My trip to the beach now feels like a distant, yet comforting memory.  Already I have returned to my old routine, and probably kicked it up a notch as well.  I am planned to work every day this week, including the 8 AM to 12 AM shift yesterday.  When I fall asleep, my dreams take me right back to my 2 jobs where I am constantly dealing with the many challenges that arise at random.  And of course you can't get any rest when you do that.  Why do I have to be the one to have to do that?

I think I enjoy the sitting at the beach the most.  No matter where it was.  Whether it was on the beach, or at a peaceful restuarant, or even on a bench at the outlet malls.  At work, you don't do that.  You are either on your feet taking care of complaining kids in one job, or staying on your feet while customers complain to you about spending so much for something that they probably will never use again in the other.  Sometimes you wonder about slapping them and seeing what they have to say after that.  That's meant for the customers of course, not the kids.  Oh wow, moving on...

On a whole new note, my sister is going to be a star!  Well maybe not, but close enough.  My sister goes to a special pediatric dentist several hours away.  She adores her dentist and I think the dentist adores her.  On our way to the beach, we stopped by her office for a routine cleaning.  When we returned from the beach, we had a message saying that the dentist wanted to feature my sister in a TV commercial for her dentist office.  It is amazing that they chose her.  They are going to go film it on Friday, and of course I won't be going.  But it is an awesome thought that she will be on right before my favorite weatherman!

Now, also some very exciting news.  I have been chosen to become an ambassador for the community college that I will be enrolled in in a few weeks.  It is something very exciting for me.  It was a very long process such as applications and interviews, but I got it!!  I was alittle bit unsure about all of it since I have been working alot lately, and I was afraid that both of them would collide in one big bang.  But I don't think it is going to be that way.  So now I seem to be looking forward to join this great experience!

Well that is all I know of right now.  I will let you all know about my sister's commercial.  Hopefully, I can get the video up on here for all of you to see.  And I will also let you know about all of the exciting news on my new ambassador program.

Until next time!

Thunder: Chapter 6.5

Chapter 6.5-The Beginning Continued

Shannon couldn’t believe what she heard. But she had to do something, but what? For starters, she had to let the police know of her findings.

She drove out of the dockyards, and after a mile of driving, she stopped at a gas station, and went to a pay phone. After paying the right amount, she was able to dial the police.

“Canton Police, this is Rodger,” said a tired man.

“Uh yes Roger, began Shannon, “I have some evidence that the big drug scandal in the news is now at the dockyards, shipping off their latest drugs. You got to get there.”

“How do you know this?” the man rumbled.

“My secret,” she replied.

“Well, since you won’t give us proper information, we cannot go out there, without a large amount of reinforcements. But thanks for the information.”

“You don’t understand,” she exclaimed, “If you don’t go out there, then the drug dealers will be shipped off, and it will all be on your head, Rodger. And don’t think I will forget your name.”

“Sorry miss, but without --“

Shannon hung up the phone. She had no really good information that could make it a first priority. Bye the time they decided to get their, they would be long gone. She had to do something.

After a few moments, she finally had an idea. If Katie wouldn’t help, maybe Lance would. She got her phone out and started to write a text message.
~~
Lance gazed at the computer screen on the wall. He was able to tune into the local TV station: CNC (Canton News Central)

Everything was the normal. All they did was talk about the local deaths, and about the next day’s weather. He really didn’t like to watch this station, for it never told the truth about anything. They chose to leave out the bad stuff, so it would seem that the city was in perfect harmony. They chose to ignore the drug scandal that was sweeping the city, and ignoring the fact that Lance and Katie had control of every computer in the city.

The screen froze, and then the pictured narrowed. Then letters appeared in red: ALERT. He clicked on a key to see what the police records had this time. It read:

Recorded on Friday, May 16th
Anonymous caller gives suspicion that big Drug Scandal is shipping out at the dockyards.
Not a top Priority
Will visit once receive more reinforcements.

His eyes grew bigger as he read the report. This is what they were looking for. They finally had them in a corner. But the police weren’t going to do anything about it.

He picked up his phone, and dialed Katie’s. She didn’t pick up. What could she do? She was a computer genius, not a fighter. He doubted that she could do anything.

It hit him. If nobody were to go down there and stop them, then they would get off free. He couldn’t let that happen. That only left one other person that could do it. Himself.

Hundreth

Well guys, today is the day that I post over the 100 post mark!  Can you believe it?  100 posts seems like so much and from so long ago, but it really hasn't felt like it.  I remember when I first created this blog a year and a half ago.  It hasn't been until the last half of a year that I have really gotten into it.  And I have enjoyed every second of it.

And it is all because of you to keep my mind focused and encouraging me to keep writing.  Otherwise, I don't think I would have written half of this blog.  So I thank you.  I hope that I can keep on writing more and better posts as the days go on.

Anyways, today I finished my second book during my vacation.  'Ship Wrecker' is a book that really caught my attention, even though it was a storyline that I really wasn't interested in.  For some reason, I was drawn to it.  And I even finished it in 2 days.  Pretty impressive in my book.  It was totally worth the read and I hope you all take a read.

Now tomorrow morning, I must leave this wonderful haven that I have taken a liking to for the past 3 days.  I haven't felt so relaxed and calm in so long.  But I guess all good things have to come to an end.  So I will have to travel another six hours back home, just in time for the 10 O'Clock shift on Monday.  And that begins my very long week, with only Friday and Sunday off.

But I will worry about that another time.  I will talk to you soon, and have a great day!
