Is it Fake?

Today, many of Twihard fans and pretty much everybody in general have been speaking of the rumors that Taylor Lautner may have come out of the closet in an exclusive interview from People Magazine, with a supposed cover, which you can see up top, leaked to the web.  But things are not so sure, and the rumors are actually being shot down by reps.  So fans and observers are questioning if this is real or not, and also freaking out in the meantime.

If you can't read the details on the cover, it reads, "Tired of rumors, the Twilight star opens up about his decision to finaly come out. 'I'm more liberated, and happier than I've ever been.'"

This created much buzz on the web and on Twitter, which Twilight fans have went into a state of depression and frenzy.  But people have already congradulated him with this supposed news, with Russell Simons tweeting, "proud of Taylor Lautner for his bravery and his courage."

But many have taken this more seriously than it may be.  Earlier this year, they freaked out with rumors that he dined with a gay director.  Then, he shut down any rumors, saying that there can be dinners without a romantic agenda and also going to say that "It's not a coincidence that there was writer, a director and an actor at dinner."

On Twitter, fans, and people that have bashed him since the beginning have spoken with outcries and also perverted jokes.  Taylor, who hasn't tweeted since yesterday, has not commented on this rumor, nor do I think he will.  But I'm sure this will be the last we have heard from him or his fans about this.  True or not true.

So if you are not following him already, go ahead and follow him @TaylorLautner__

So what are you thoughts on this?  Do you think this is another attack on a celebrity that was quickly found out, or do you think there is more to this story, and more is to come?  Post your thoughts here, and stay posted!

Semester's Close

Yay!  School has officially ended for this semester!  And I must tell you, it has been a long one!  16 hours a week, with travel time and hard classes, I have come a long way.  Grades were posted today, and I got exactly what I expected.  4 A's and one C.  If only I had a few points better in my Statistics class, I would have gotten a B in that.  But don't fear, because my GPA didn't hurt too badly from it.  Like you all care!

But this give me a month to sit down and start writing for you guys again!  Lots of things to talk about, and lots of things that need to be shared.  Besides school, I have been slammed at work, doing manager duties, as well as some manager responsibilities that come with the position.  But now that our most important event of the year is out of the way, things are starting to calm down again, for the most part.  And get this, yesterday was the first time in months where I have been able to pick up a book and play games without the constant worries about school stuff and such.

The Christmas season is upon us, and it is getting the best of me.  I love the holiday season though.  The Christmas parades, the Christmas music at work...all of it is so great.  It honestly doesn't feel like Christmas here in NC, because of the clear, sunny skies and the mild heat.  It really starts to feel like Christmas when a chance of snow is upon us every other day.  I'm hoping it comes soon, because it has only flurried once so far this season.  I want more SNOW!

That's what I love about the end of semesters.  You can relax, feel the anxiety and worry of homework and tests lift off of your shoulders, and just enjoy the season around us.  Can you believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away?  The time has flown so fast, and before you know it, it'll be time to get back into class.  So I'm going to treasure this moment that I have right now.

Lots of exciting things to talk about within the next few days, now that I have time to talk.  Lots of new music I want you to be aware of, as well as some heated topics that are circulating right now.  So make sure to stay tuned!

Until then...

Jonah

I had plans to talk about another important topic, but this story has brought me to change my mind.  The story of Jonah Mowry has touched myself, as well as the whole world.  His story has also spoken to so many that we have talked about before, and gives hope to people who have none and wants them to give life a second chance.  His bravery and strong heart has caught attention of some very popular people, making his story go viral.

The video below is what's spreading his story like wildfire.  It was recorded and posted three months ago, but is now catching everybody's attention.  Take a look, and grab a tissue!

See what I mean?  Very tearful, sad, happy and inspiring all at the same time.  And this video has skyrocketed in views in the last day.  This video is so close to the million mark, and the majority of viewers giving positive reviews.  And who has noticed this?  Well the great and popular people such as Perez Hilton, Delta Goodrem, Nick Jonas, Chris Salvatore, Jane Lynch, Ricky Martin, Jordin Sparks, Amanda Bynes, and Rosie O'Donnell.  A great group of people to support him.  And the attention has given him the friends that he has been looking for, 5,300 of them!

The good thing is that he says he is doing great!  He is thanking everyone for the support that he is recieving, and he is just so excited that people are noticing his story.  But he posted this picture, showing that his life is turning around for the best:

"Me and kyra. Everyone im happy and fine. Thank u all for ur support <3 "

I could go on and on and talk about the terrible people that bring this hard life on people like Jonah.  But you know what?  I'm not going to, because I want to savor a great story of bravery and heroism that so many people are reading today, and finding hope.  I hope when everyone reads this, they will take Jonah's example, and spread the hope to everyone who needs it.  And hopefully we can prevent peope like Tyler Clementi from taking their own life, a life that could have been so successful!

For those who are reading this, and are looking for something to believe in, look at this kid.  I'm sure this isn't the last of him, because he will become a legend at his school, and hopefully will go into a feild that can help so many kids like himself.  And hopefully the many people reading this will spread it, and take it upon themselves to help defend our friends that need it.

Jonah, I am so excited that your life is turning around.  I wish you the best of luck, and I hope to hear from you and see how you are doing!  I know you be the best at anything that you do!!

If you want to become a great friend of Jonah, you should follow him on Twitter.  Just click here:  @JonahMowryReal

Hype

Let the hype begin!  Delta has returned to her home country of Australia, and bringing lots of news that we have been waiting to hear for some time.  But now the speculation is over about her and the ARIA Awards, her album, her thoughts about Nick Jonas, and the speculation, because she talks about about it in an article with the Herald Sun.

First, and the biggest news in my opinion:  Delta says that album is FINISHED!  Thank you Jesus!  We have been waiting for this announcement all year, and finally it has come just before the end of 2011.  She says, "The album is finished, so I look forward to releasing new music right out of the gate next year," she said. "I'm feeling a lot of support overseas, so I'm looking forward to bringing that out around the world. I can't wait to share the new music."  That all makes sense, considering she gained some new fans with her popular performances on Dancing with the Stars earlier this year, and also her performances with Michael Bolton and their duet "I'm Not Ready."

Her love, Nick Jonas, was also mentioned in the article, with her saying that "I'm really lucky to have such a wonderful person in my life. I'm in a really happy place right now. I feel very blessed," despite the frowned upon age difference.  Nick was also brought up when it came to her music, saying, "We've written lots of songs together...I'm proud to be writing with him."

Rumors have also circulated that Delta would be performing at the ARIA Awards and accepted a position as a judge on the Australian version of the hit show "The Voice."  When asked about the ARIA Awards, she said she was uncertain that she would actually be performing, but,"There are lots of possibilities, I'm just excited to be back for the 25th anniversary of the ARIAs and to celebrate Australian artists."  And concerning rumors about the show, "I'm a fan of the show and we have been talking but nothing is confirmed."

And while she says she isn't sure about performing at the ARIAs, another article actually confirmed that Delta would be performing a new song at the show, saying, "Goodrem, who was last year named artist of the decade at the Arias with Guy Sebastian, will be performing a new song at the show."  Hopefully we will find out more about this soon!

Delta brought back some old memories and reminded Australia how talented she is by performing at the President's Cup Gala Dinner where she sang "In This Life", "Natural Woman", "The Prayer" and "Born To Try", which seemed to get the likes of Tiger Woods excited!  As for the news that the album is finished, many fans are excited, creating hype that I expected to happen as soon as news was confirmed.  Some fans were saying, "ALBUM IS FINISHED! So friggin exciting...Oh next year....oh well makes sense! 47 days til 2012!! BRING IT ON!!...and OMG - can you imagine a single in January?"

So, now that we have offical news of a incoming release, when do you think any music will be released?  Do you think that the new single will be one of the titles that have come out written by Delta over the year?  Do you think she will perform at the ARIA Awards?  And do you think that she will join "The Voice?"  Post your thoughts and join the discussion on Delta Daily here

Two Decades

This week, I celebrated my 20th birthday.  I cannot believe that I am now two decades old.  No longer a teenager.  But like every birthday, I bring out the kid in me and get so excited about my special day.  My whole family does it, including my 70 year old grandfather who makes it known that his birthday is around the corner every month!  Sadly, I didn't get to spend my birthday the way I wanted to, but I knew that I had friends and family that would have been there to celebrate it with me.

This year my birthday was on a Monday.  Unfortunately, that is the time that I have my all day school session from 9-8.  It made me so mad because I celebrate my birthday just like every child.  But to make up for it, my family and I went to Georgia to shop and spend time together.  That was a lot of fun.  Bought some new Croc shoes and games, and then my family suprised me with a gift card to my favorite shop, Barnes and Noble.  And then I continued my celebration by feasting at the Outback with Steak, Lobster and rice.  And then later we nibbled on some appetizers from Chili's.

Then Monday arrived, and I was real cranky because I had to spend it at school.  But you wanna know what got me through the day?  All of the great Facebook Birthday wishes that people posted.  Friends that I spend every day with, and people that I have barely spoken to alike.  It kept a smile on my face all day.  And I guess the shopping spree the day before helped me not notice that it was my birthday at all.  But I sure didn't like the quick Burger King meals that I had to eat in a hurry in between classes.

But this birthday feels special in it's own way for some reason.  I guess because it is the start in a new decade of my life.  And maybe even a new era.  Parts of my life right now seems to agree with that, with all of the new and great changes going on.  But I think this birthday was also a moment to reflect on all the birthdays before and that many days I have spent on this earth.  I can remember birthdays long ago like when my parents bought me my first gameboy when I was 9, and the one where I spent the whole night with friends at the very place where I work now and the one just last year when I got my iPad.

It also reminds me of all the things that have went on in the twenty years.  My earliest memory is when my sister was born and I went and held her and the evil nurse took her away from me 18 years ago.  I also remember my grandmothers taking me to McDonalds for ice cream later that day.  I can also remember when my youngest sister was born in 2001.  When the World Trade Centers were attacked later that year.  And then my graduation from High School and the start of my job less than two years ago.  So many memories, good and bad.

This post probably would have been more memorable to me if it was actually posted on my birthday.  But I feel that even thought I am a little late, it still reflects my emotions of that day, and the days before it.  It's also nice to reflect on what has transpired during these years, the small pieces to the person I am today.  I'll never forget them.  So here is to my 20th birthday, and the many years to come!

Revenge

Every season, viewers look for a show that will prove itself worthy to remain for more seasons.  A lot of shows barely see the light of day before the network pulls the plug on them.  And then there are some that remain forever and is able to live the life that it's creator hoped for.  There is one show that is now on ABC has caught my interest, and has caused me to record it every week and hope that it will never be cancelled.

Revenge was aired on September 21st, and has stunned fans all over the world, including yours truly on it's acting and plot.  It is based on the book The Count of Monte Cristo.  And it has an amazing cast including Emily VanCamp (from Brothers and Sisters) and Madeleine Stowe.  The show also features a cast that I haven't seen before, but is playing very well.  Below is the overview of the show that was provided by Wikipedia:

"Emily Thorne, whose real name is Amanda Clarke, moves back to the Hamptons to take revenge on the people who caused the death of her father David and destroyed her family. When she was a little girl, Amanda's father was arrested on terrorism charges and tried for treason; her life was destroyed. She ended up in juvenile detention and on her 18th birthday inherited the wealth of the company her father invested in. She changed her name to Emily Thorne and decided to take revenge on the people responsible."

So far 5 episodes have been aired, and I am in awe with every one.  Every one deepens the plot and gives us a better understanding of the characters.  While we understand some, the show leaves us unsure about some characters, and where their loyalties lie.  I won't tell you who, because you wouldn't go watch it.  Gotta find out for yourself!

The show has stood strong with the ratings, with the pilot being the most watched in it's timeslot.  And it continues to gain fans after that.  I can testify to that, getting my mom and sister hooked on the show.  Revenge is now our Wed. 10:00 fix.  Others agree with that, with the Hollywood Reporter calling it, "Intriguing and genuinely fun series stars sweet/sexy Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe." and a "nice combo of sweet/sexy and ice-cold."

Emily Vancamp turned me onto the show after watching her for years on Brothers and Sisters.  And I knew with the previews that she wouldn't disappoint.  She plays the part so well, and it turns out that revenge is a nice color on her.  She certainly has alot of faith in the show, constantly promoting it on her Twitter, and proud to announce that it was picked up for a full season.  But she isn't the only one that has impressed me on the show.  Gabriel Mann and Joshua Bowman have also proved worthy of their spot on the show,  also playing nicely with Vancamp's part.  You can follow them all here:  @Emily_VanCamp_ @Gabriel_Mann and @JoshuaTBowman

I encourage you all to start watching the show.  Every episode is so good, and you won't regret watching it.  If you haven't watched the show yet, you can always catch up by downloading it on iTunes.  And make sure you start following the Revenge Twitter account for all of the latest news on the show and some sneak peeks!  You can follow it @Revenge

For those who have watched the show, what do you like about it, and what is your favorite episode?  Looking forward to your thoughts and your predictions on what is to come!!

New Season

Fall finally seems to be setting in.  And I love it!  I always enjoy the balanced temperature and the rumors of snow on the way and the leaves falling off by the dozen every day.  I can definately tell when this time arrives because my birthday only follows a few days away from today.  I'll be lucky to observe any of this right now...

If you couldn't tell from the lack of posts, I have been extremely busy.  Right now I only seem to be posting big things that seem to be popping in my head, if any at all.  But right now a lot of ideas are flowing through, and I cannot wait to share them with you all.  Throughout my absence, I have come across some great, new things, and I feel that you would all agree on them!

School, like always, appears to be a thorn in my side.  While I like the majority of my classes, the amount of classes and the difficulty of some have seemed to overwhelm me.  Statistics for example.  Why I need it other than understanding the basic parts of political polls, I don't know.

And I also hate when I spend my Mondays at school from when the sun comes up to way after the sun goes down.  I barely have time to chow down on a late night meal before getting ready for the next day.  11 hours of school in one day can burn you out.  But on the plus side, Spanish is going so much better for me right now.  I think I have an A, and I feel confident enough to spend a little bit of time playing games while in there.  Don't Tell!

In the mix of school is work.  And a lot is going on there.  Not so long ago, I was offered a part-time management position.  I was shocked that they offered it to me, considering that I have only been there close to two years.  But people have come and gone, leaving me as one of the longest working employees still there.  So I have spent extra time training, which seems to overwhelm me at some point during the day.  That, and I just seem to be working more now due to so many people coming to town for the leaves changing.

And to complete my busy schedule, I still maintain the title of Student Ambassador for my college for the second year.  A major honor for me.  And lately I have been asked to appear at events such Orientation and Freshmen Night and give tours, as well as induct future students into programs.  This opprotunity is something that I am so proud of because the title of Ambassador of over 3,000 students is so honorable.  Sometimes I wonder how blessed I am with wonderful chances like these.

With all of these things going on, I am a full time person doing everything, usually spending whatever free time on homework.  But tonight I felt like it was a great moment to sit down and write my thoughts and catch everyone up on the last few months.  And I promise not to make my absences long.  I have many more posts in the works, excited to have you read them.  Talk to you all soon!

Fastlife

I love it when a ton of songs, albums and artists catch my eye.  And during this season, we usually see alot of new things come up.  But right now three artists have my attention and has compelled me to share them with you.  Introducing Joe Jonas with his debut album "Fastlife," Tori Amos' 12th album "Night of Hunters," and Blake McGrath's solo album "Time To Move."

Let's start with Joe's debut album.  I was super excited when I heard the song "See No More," proving to me that he was able to break away from the Jonas Brothers kid style.  And I also enjoyed his new single "Just In Love."  His new album arrived today with some mixed reviews and criticized for a Parent Advisory that is on the album.  According to the Associated Press, "Fastlife is lifeless."  They also go to say that "He lacks energy when he sings, and even he doesn't seem interested in what he's singing about... Jonas doesn't add much to the mediocre tracks throughout the album, and on some songs he even sounds robotic."

I actually seem to be enjoying the album.  The problem I have with it was he had to get someone like Lil Wayne to remix a good song and use such foul language the song is now labeled Explicit.  Can't anybody sing a song without having to cuss.  That warning label could hurt sales as parents will turn their kids away, Jonas' key demographic.  But I'll let you be the judge on that.  You can buy it online here and can follow him here

Tori Amos released her 12th album, "Night of Hunters" close to a month ago...and I love it!  I have been a fan of her for years with her hit songs such as "Winter" and "A Sorta Fairytale."  Now she goes down the classical road with themes centuries old.  The single of the album, "Carry," is a favorite of mine so far, and creates all the emotions that you would expect from Amos.  The album recieved mostly positive reviews, with most reviewers giving her 4/5 stars.  Some said that the album "contains the power, dynamics and splendor of her very best material...a sumptuous sounding work, with the piano to the fore...and rich sonic tapestry, with strings and woodwinds swelling underneath Amos' always virtuoso piano performances."

I have never been disappointed by any of Amos' work, and this album is no exception.  This was an experiment that suceeded with raves from her fans.  I can only expect many more great things from her in her future works.  You can buy the album here and follow her here

Blake McGrath is no stranger to music, but this is the first time that I have noticed his music and said "Wow."  Releasing his solo album, "Time To Move" earlier this year, it has given me plenty of time to listen to some of his great songs.  While the album has failed to chart in the U.S, the album has been popular in Canada, Blake's home country, reaching the top 40 spot.  Many of his good songs include "The Night," "Relax," and his recent single "Burn the Floor."  And after working with some top celebs like Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, and Britney Spears, it is hard not to notice him.  Even though there isn't much more to say about Blake like the other two, doesn't mean he isn't going to be big.  He is currently performing and says that more things are on the way.  You can buy his album here and follow him here

So what do you think about these artists and their albums?  Have you heard of them and if not, did you like what you heard?  Post your comments and spread the word!

Bullied

This month, we have seen another teen take his own life because of bullying.  Jamey Rodemeyer was only 14, and talked numerous times of the hardship that bullies put on him because he was gay.  He blogged about his struggles, and showed inspiration towards one individual that is now making a nationwide effort to make bullying illegal.  And once again the question arises; when will people accept each other and end this hate?

Jamey made his troubles known through his blog, a lot during the past month that indicated that things were wrong.  "I always say how bullied I am, but no one listens...What do I have to do so people will listen to me?"  and "No one in my school cares about preventing suicide, while you're the ones calling me and tearing me down."  He posted alot of lyrics before posting two final messages, one talking about seeing his dead great-grandmother, and thanking Lady Gaga.  He was found dead outside from suicide later.

Many have mourned for his loss, his mother saying, "He touched so many hearts, so many people...I didn't realize how many people he touched. He was the sweetest, kindest kid you'd ever know. He would give all his heart to you before he gave any to himself."  A friend named Olivia said, "He was always putting people first...He always wanted other people to smile, even on the worst of his days."

But some have made it know that they were not a fan of Jamey, posting hate messages on his Formspring account a year ago: "JAMIE IS STUPID, GAY, FAT ANND UGLY. HE MUST DIE" and "I wouldn't care if you died. No one would. So just do it :) It would make everyone WAY more happier!"  Many more messages were on there, but a lot of his friends went to his defense.

This isn't the first time this has been a case.  We saw the tragic suicide of Tyler Clementi close to a year ago, which brought much uproar towards the haters in America.  Many have followed since then, showing the severety of the issue.  And at the same time of Clementi's death, people such as Bishop Eddie Long were making headlines, such as their hypocritcal claims agains Gay Marriage.  You can read all about that in my previous posts: Outrage and Sickened.

But this week, the person that Jamey thanked for everything is now fighting back against bullying.  Lady Gaga was one of the last to hear from him, with a tweet saying, "@ladygaga bye mother monster, thank you for all you have done, paws up forever."

Lady GaGa has stormed Twitter, tweeting to her 13 million followers: "The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life...Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. . Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime...I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it."

The web has been on fire ever since, with many joining the fight with Lady Gaga to end bullying and make it illegal.  It makes me sick that people think that they can say whatever they want to whoever they want, and not to expect it to impact them in a bad way.  And I hope that with the anger and sadness we feel, we can all join together and make sure that this doesn't happen again.  I pledge to join the fight...will you?

In This Week...

This week has seen some many things occur.  This week we have seen the return of the popular "Two and a Half Men" with the anticipated arrival of Ashton Kutcher, premiering with record breaking ratings.  We also saw the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, with many servicemen and women stepping out into the light, one in particular going viral.  And we also see Delta Goodrem's "Worst-dressed" moment, with her boyfriend announcing some upcoming songs.

The return of "Two and a Half Men" reached record numbers, partly to see the reaction to the death of Charlie Sheen's character, and partly to see the anticipated arrival of Ashton Kutcher.  28 million people tuned in, making the already popular show even more well-known.  But many wonder if the show can maintain these ratings.  Fans are divided, some saying that the show should be cancelled ASAP while some says that the show still has a future.  I have never seen the show, but because of the hype that Charlie Sheen created with his breakdown and WB firing him, I may decide to join the fans in watching it.  And right now would be a great time to jump into the show if you haven't watch it yet.  But do you think the show can last without Charlie Sheen?  Only time will tell...

One individual has stepped out as one of the first openly gay members in the service after the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.  Tens of thousands have been waiting for this moment, and now is their moment to shine.  But this individual has made his moment public with a video on Youtube that has went viral.

The video has gained millions of views, currently close to 2 million views and counting.  The previous videos that he released gained thousands of views since the release as well.  The video revealed the man who has made headline news, and has been anonymous this whole time. He has gotten inspiring messages from viewers, saying, "You have a lot of courage. Thank God for the good support from your father. Sorry about the haters. Peace." You can follow him and his other messages at @areyousuprised.

And now for you Delta fans, we have all seen Delta arrive in South America with Nick Jonas while he tours. But we realized how closely she is watched by fans and the press when this photo appeared and probably the worst moment Delta could be caught in:

My first reaction was that she had just got out of the bed and was being dragged into the car. But we believe that she is either coming from or going to the beach. Other fans felt the same way, some saying, "She needs to fire her stylist and get a new one pronto. Good lord" and "That last one looks like she's in a hospital gown.. sounds like Fashion Police in here today." This just goes to show how much people watch what you do and what you wear when you date a Jonas Brother.

And to top it off, Nick Jonas made another announcement, saying that he is ready to present some new music. He posted this on Twitter: "I think I'm gonna premiere some brand new music tonight at the show... Would that be ok with you guys?" I know I have already said this before, but do you think it is possible for the new material to feature Delta or written by Delta? I sure hope so, because I am waiting to hear something new from her.

So that is a LOT of things to discuss from this week. And lots of different things to cover as well. Some things more imortant and inspirational than others. So for any topic that appealed to you, what do you think about it?

Idiots

I'll let you be the judge on whether "Idiot" is the right term for these people.  Last night, 8 canidates for the GOP Presidential Nomination appeared on the Republican Debate.  Brian Williams was the moderator, with questions that everyone has wanted to ask the GOP hopefuls.  I am a proud Democrat, but I watched to see who would be the best contender for President Obama for the 2012 election.  But from what I saw, not many brought their game.

The two stars were former Gov. Mitt Romney and Gov. Rick Perry.  Both attacked each other on job creations, Homeland Security and Social Security, with other canidates attacking Perry on other issues.  Perry picked on Romney, saying "Michael Dukakis created jobs three times faster than you did, Mitt."  Romney bounced right back with, "George Bush and his predecessors created jobs at a faster rate than you did."

Perry, who is leading in the polls (suprisingly to me), appeared to be in the center of the battlefield.  In the midst of the debate, he said, "I kind of feel like the piñata here at the party."  And with good reason Perry.  He stood by his statements in his book "Fed Up", saying that Social Security was a "Ponzi scheme", wanting to rid of Homeland Security, and making an executive order for young girl to get vaccinated against HPV.  Romney, Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann united against Perry on this issue, saying it is the responsibility of the parents to make the call on vaccinations.

But Perry wasn't the only one disappointing with their remarks.  Ron Paul, an early favorite of mine, said that the TSA is "Abusive" and accusing FEMA of being a worthless bureaucracy.  Michelle Bachmann kept yelling "Repeal Obama Care!" without actually revealing a plan to replace the healthcare plan she wanted to be repealed.  She also promised that she could get gas to $2 a gallon if she was president, while Paul promised gas for 10 cents per gallon.  Things like these seemed beyond reality, and just turned me off.

But there was one canidate that caught my eye was Jon Huntsman, who really didn't get that much attention during the debate.  But everything he said seemed to outrun everything Perry and Romney said.  When the debate of Evolution and Global Warming came up, he said, "when you call into question the science of evolution, all I'm saying is that, in order for the Republican Party to win, we can't run from science."

He also mentioned the emotional upcoming 9/11 Anniversary, "I think one way to commemorate our ten-year anniversary of 9/11, remembering the 3,000-plus people who died in New York and in Pennsylvania and in Washington, is to say it's time for this country to set a goal for ourselves: We're going to get our core fixed. We're going to do some nation-building right here at home."

So as you can tell, there were very few canidates that I was impressed with.  I don't think that many canidates really know how to get today's problems fix in America, nor do I think some are capable.  I do know that if people continue to believe in Perry, who is the popular one in the polls, then this country will go to hell in a handbasket.

But to sum all of this all up, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has made this several times this week, and I would have to agree with him.  He said we need to put our differences aside, and help the president we have now, instead of being devided and focusing on canidates that can't do anything about our problems until a year or more from now.  I hope you Republican canidates think about that instead of saying that they will do whatever it takes to defeat President Obama.

Nelta News?

For the past few months, many Delta fans have waited for any word of future music being released to her fans.  And I'm sure that Nick fans are hoping for word about what future projects that he will be working on.  And we all know that they have worked on several songs together before and since the beginning of their relationship.  But after tweets from Nick, a question is rising in my head...is something big for Delta and Nick about to happen that will reenter them into the music market?

While Delta and Nick have not official come out about their relationship yet, it has become very clear that they are together by noticing the many songs written by the both of them, plus the intimate photos that we have seen.  And while Nick doesn't mention Delta by name, he does mention a woman that makes him very happy and someone that cares for him.  And the latest intimate photo from Los Cabos, Mexico shows as much:

So back to my suspicions about the possible future of Delta and Nick's music careers.  Honestly, I think that they will tour and possibly promote their music together.  And one thing that I think will help with this is a possible duet between the two of them.  But these questions arose when Nick posted two tweets to his 3.2 million followers over the past 6 days, indicating that something big is in the works:

"Hey everyone... So many exciting things happening! Can't wait wait to share it all with you.  ; )" and "I'm getting so excited about sharing my big news with all of you! Who thinks they know what it is? : )"

Many fans are speculating a new album, a Jonas Brothers reunion...or rumors of getting married (please dear God don't let this be it!)  While I think the possibility of Delta and Nick getting married is far away from now, and the brothers reunion unlikely (Because of Joe's solo career shooting off), I think a new album is possible...with the chance that Delta could be featured on it.

We know for certain of two songs written by both Delta and Nick, titled "Reaching For Something" and "This Is Where We Belong".  Either one could easy be a duet, and may be the foundations for a tour between the two of them.  But how likely is this?

To me, I think this is very likely.  Right now, Delta is getting alot of press (Most of it not portraying her in the light as us Delta fans see her) among Jonas fans all over the world.  And both have held off on releasing anything new, Delta's latest release being in 2008 in the USA, and Nick's in 2010.  And I think this is certainly possible because of maybe unexpected changes, due to the news of Delta's album not yet finished, when it was said to be done and released the middle of 2011.

While both Delta and Nick fans don't approve of this set up, it does give Delta a possible advantage to breaking in the USA market, something she has tried for years.  Touring, releasing or even featuring with a big American star such as Nick Jonas would create the process of reaching to fans easier than it was when she tried to crack the market in 2008.  And while I agree with the many Delta fans on not wanting another duet in the near future, I do think that releasing a duet would help her in the market.

So the question still remains: Is the big news concerning both Nick and Delta?  I hope it does, simply because I want to hear SOMETHING.  Fans haven't heard anything in awhile, and we are desperate for any news.  I don't care if it is touring dates together, or a musical release, I just want to hear it and I want to hear it now!  Please tell us when we can hear something Delta and Nick!

So do you think this is the big news?  And do you agree with me that it would help Delta and Nick reenter the markets?  Make sure you post your thoughts!

Hopefully everything will become clear soon, and we will be able to enjoy some new music!

Dirty Secrets

Happy Labor Day!  Hoping it is filled with exciting things going on!  Yesterday I was browsing through the Twitter trending topics and I noticed "Dirty Bieber Secrets" was trending.  As you can tell, the topic was about Justin Beiber, and the source of all of this surrounds this blog called Just Beautiful Me.  If you asked me what it is all about, I couldn't tell you.  There is so much stuff on there I can't tell what was making the comotion.  And I'm thinking, "Do people only have time to talk about "Dirty Secrets?""

And now that I think about it, I think not only should we talk about Dirty Secrets, but it should be encouraged.  You must think I'm crazy.  But that trending topic, and an emotional show called "If You Really Knew Me..." really got me thinking of all the different things that could happen if people told the world their own dirty little secret.  Whether it be a celebrity telling a little secret to give great laughs, or a person in a lot of need to get something off their chest, and saving themselves from the brink of suicide.

Think of it like the popular site "Post Secret" and the music video for The All American Rejects' "Dirty Little Secret" where they express themselfs by telling something very personal, whether funny or dark, and feeling much better for it.

I am calling for today to be "Expose Your Dirty Secret" day.  Everyone, celebrities, politial leaders, and even you should post your dirty little secret on here.  And you are probably thinking, "He must be crazy!"  Well I'm not.  If you watch the show "If You Really Knew Me..." they expose everything to each other, and realize that everybody is the same and have their own mistakes and nobody is better than the other.  That EVERYONE is equal!

And that is what I want to do today.  In this world, right now, there are people out there that think they are lower, or higher or better than the next person.  And some think that since they are so low, they should end their life, or think about it numerous times.  But we are all the same, and this is where I want to prove that!  And the bright thing about this is that with the internet, everything is anonymous.

So right now, I want you to scroll to the bottom of this page.  I want you to post your dirty little secret to the world.  I'll leave it up to you if you want to say who you are or not.  You have that right, and that may even be uplifting to you, or the others around you.  And after you post it, I want you to see if you don't feel any better about yourself, or even if you may laugh at yourself for how silly it may be.  Trust me on this, I think it will work.

So I am calling on the big celebrities to help me out with this!  Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Delta Goodrem, Brian McFadden, Lance Bass...whoever you are!  Help the world show that we are all equal, and whether it is funny, or deep and powerful, that someone who may feel outcasted is not at all.  They are just a part of the bigger picture!

Post this on Facebook or Twitter and let's see how successful this will be!

Skyscraper

I cannot believe I have waited this long to talk about her.  She gained fame by entering the big Disney world of entertainment, starred in the hit movies "Camp Rock" and "Camp Rock 2" with two hit albums and a big success on "Sonny with a Chance".  But now she is entering a new chapter in her life, starting with the impactful single "Skyscraper" and her new album "Unbroken" on the way.  Yes, Demi Lovato has come back with a bang, and she isn't going anywhere soon.

I knew about her when she first entered the spotlight on Disney, and while my little sister was a huge fan.  She entered the big time while appearing with the Jonas Brothers in "Camp Rock 1 & 2."  She then moved on to two hit albums titled "Don't Forget" and "Here We Go Again."  She then moved to TV with Sonny with a chance, which seems to have been a huge hit on Disney.

But then she had to move into another chapter in her life, which was pretty dark, and one that she admits.  I won't go too in depth because I don't think it burdens her anymore, but it is important because I think it is what inspired her to move through the darkness and into the light.  In late October 2010, she dropped out of the Jonas Brothers tour and entered a treatment facility for physical and emotial problems.  Later, she spoke with Robin Roberts saying that her treatment was for bulimia and self-injury.  All things were piling on top of each other until she says she "was performing concerts on an empty stomach...I was losing my voice from purging. I was self-medicating. I was not taking medication for depression, and I literally was so emotionally whacked out..."

After her return to society, she decided not to return to "Sonny" thinking that it would cause the nervousness that led to past problems.  She instead decided to turn to music, which lucky for her and us, is turning out to be a very successful turn.  Her return with "Skyscraper" has pushed her up to the top, with over 17,000 positive reviews on iTunes, and placing her #19 on the Pop charts.  And who could be suprised with uplifting lyrics such as this:

You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I’m made of glass
Like I’m made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper

So if you haven't bought it already, don't wait any longer and pick up "Skyscraper" now!  You can buy it on iTunes here.  And don't forget to buy her upcoming album "Unbroken".  And make sure to follow her on Twitter, because I am sure that we will be hearing more from her soon about the exciting album.  You can follow her at @ddlovato

And Demi, if you are reading this, know that you have a brand new band of fans growing very fast, like me, and we cannot wait to hear the best songs that you can come up with for us!  We hope to hear some more exciting news soon!

If you are a great fan of Demi, feel free to post some of your favorite songs by her, your thoughts on the new single, and your predictions for the new album!

Deidre Hall

This woman is no stranger to the Daytime TV business.  She has been in it for over 30 years, and in the process, became a friend and idol to fans by playing the iconic role of Dr. Marlena Evans Black on Days of Our Lives.  Yes, I am talking about Deidre Hall.  And even I can proudly say that I grew up with her and her character while my mother watched it since my birth.  But now, after a two year break from the show, she is returning the famous character, making many fans very happy.

Deidre, 63, who doesn't look that age by the way, has a very long track record during her life.  After graduating high school in 1965, she studied psychology before moving into the acting pathway.  She started with modeling gigs and commercials then went into the show "Electrawoman and DynaGirl".  She also appeared in "Emergency!" and "The Young and the Restless" before beginning her iconic role in Days in 1976.

While she was unsure about her place in soap operas, she was cast and her fame began to shoot up.  She then juggled her scheduled by doing Days and then joining the show "Our House".  Then in the 80's, she left Days because of the strain, and then House was cancelled in two seasons.  She didn't immediately return to Days, but instead appeared on several different shows before returning in 1991.  And then in 1995, she produced and starred in her movie "Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story."  This movie depicted her struggles of becoming a mother.

After her return of Days in 1991, she stayed on the show for eighteen years.  This is the era that I grew up in.  My mother told me about Deidre's iconic storyline when Marlena was possessed by the Devil.  And then my sister and I would watch every afternoon when her storyline was the Salem Serial Killer.  This storyline evolved into her in Meleswen and then her returned romance with Roman Brady and then her amnesia.  Then in 2009, her contract was terminated because of budget cuts.  At the time before she left the show, she was making a whopping $60,000 dollars a month.

Since her departure, she has been traveling with her kids, guest hosting on a radio show, and then co-wrote a book called "Deidre Hall's Kitchen Closeup."

But the announcement was made that she is returning to Days.  This made me very happy to hear because I feel that the show went down hill and missing the classic acting that Deidre contributed.  And while I never really enjoyed watching soap operas, the character Marlena Black is the reason why I watched it.  So September 26th will be the day for many Deidre fans, and I'm sure it is going to be the feeling that we have felt from her for so many years.

On Deidre's Twitter, she tells about some great plots, saying, "Back on stage. Its like never having been gone. Another long day...just like in the old Days! Check photos on my web site! D" and "What a fabulous week. Halloween in Salem is packed with amazing costumes and astounding drama. Great surprises from Darrell and Marlene!"

So if you aren't following her already, you should totally do it!  Go and follow her now! @DeidreHall

Deidre, if you are reading this, know that we are excited about you returning and we hope there is many years to come of your wonderful acting!

So for all of you fans that are looking forward to Deidre's return, why don't you spend some time by telling us what is your favorite storylines that included Marlena.  And also predict what possible storylines could come in the future!

Giggles

Sometimes things are so funny that you cannot just hold it in.  And holding a giggle is sometimes a must when you are on national TV.  Otherwise, you will wind up on Youtube.  Well that is just what happened last night.  Anderson Cooper, probably one of the most professional host of TV today, couldn't hold it in long, and lost any restraint and let the giggles roll in.  Watch the video below and see what I mean.

That makes the second person that I think can laugh like that.  And the other person would be Adam Goldberg when he guest starred in the hit show Friends.  So what caused him to laugh this much?  Well I turned to The Washington Post for more information, saying:

"During a pun-filled segment devoted to Gerard Depardieu’s recent urinating-on-a-plane incident, Cooper gamely stifled laughter while pumping out commentary that involved phrases like “an actual thespian actually thes-peein’” as well as a particularly clever play on words that involved Depardieu’s role in “La Vie en Rose.” (That movie was about Edith Piaf. You can probably guess where that one went.)

But at the 2:30 mark in the video below — when Cooper says the cleaning crew should “thank their lucky stars it wasn’t Depar-doo” — the distinguished journalist once hailed for his investigative reports during Hurricane Katrina starts giggling like a preteen girl with braces and a vicious Justin Bieber crush."

I think he laughed more about his choice of words than the actual situation.  But I think it was a moment where he should be allowed to laugh, given he has to report on Debt problems, the President, wars and other issues all the time.

So what do you think about it?  Was he allowed to giggle about something so silly, or do you think it was unprofessional?

Out of Sync

As a child fan of 'NSYNC, I was pleased to pick up a copy of Lance Bass' memior called "Out of Sync".  It has been a book that I have been waiting to read for some time.  I finally did it, and as soon as I started reading it, I didn't stop until I put it down the next day.  And what I read gave me a new respect for Lance, the other band members, and the great music that the band released during those years of my childhood.  And not only was the story about the band, but about Lance's childhood, his personal issues while in the band, the issues with Lou Pearlman, the extended hiatus of the band, his attempt to reach space, and then his coming out in 2006.

I was so interested in reading about his childhood.  I guess it was great because these guys were my idol during the day.  So it was great to reading about his childhood, and the sucess he had made even before his induction into the band.  And it was also interesting to see that he felt that he was destined for greatness.

And then the story behind the scenes of the band and the scandals with Lou Pearlman and then living with this fame took a good chunk of the book, and kept my attention the whole time.  I remember him mentioning when he knew the band was going to be big when they got a special on the Disney Channel, and that it was aired for 6 months after that.  I remember, because that's how I found out about them!  And my family even taped it.  (I think we may still have it after all these years!)  But it was interesting to read about the trips overseas to kick everything off, and the money problems with Pearlman.  Things like this were things I never knew, and was shocked to read.

Other things that were shocked to read was what actually went down before the band finally went on indefinate hiatus.  The hard feelings that were once felt towards Justin for continually extending time for a new album when Lance could have been doing big things during this time.  And then there was the movie that Lance and Joey participated in called "On the Line" which he felt was finished because of touring and the tragedy with 9/11.

And then it was also interesting to read about his attempt to travel into space.  His stuggels that he went though in Russia studying and training to become certified to go up.  But it was sad to hear that it all fell through because of money.  We can all understand that now with the economy crisis right now.

And then there was the next big chunk of his book: His sexuality.  This was the news that shocked alot of adoring female fans and brought Lance back into the spotlight.  But this news wasn't just a recent issue for him, but a life long thing.  And if you read the story, you understand the days before he decided to go public, and the courage he had to tell his conservative family that he was gay and then the emotional outpour he got from both family and friends.

But the book was published in 2007, which means that alot more things have happened for Lance since then.  The book debuted on the bestseller list.  He became an activist for alot of Gay causes.  And just recently, news have been circulating that he is attempting to creat his own Boy Band version of The Voice.  And while all this going on, he also has time to host his own segment on the Sirius Radio and appear on popular shows like Drop Dead Diva.

A article was released by People yesterday, talking about Lance ready to marry.  It says: "Now that same-sex marriage is legal in New York, Lance Bass is certain that someday he'll tie the knot. "I definitely want that. I'm a Southerner. We dream of having the family and the kids, and the parents want grandkids, that's all they care about, give me some grandbabies."  You can read the full article here

So you can tell that Lance Bass has had an amazing career, and continues to have one to this day.
And we all look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.  This book is the only biographical book I have read, and probably ever will be because it was just so entertaining to read, and so insightful to find out more about a band member that I grew up listening to.  I encourage you to read the book.  Go to your local bookstore, or you can always buy it here at Barnes and Noble.

And if you aren't already, I would strongly recommend that you follow him on Twitter.  I just started a few weeks ago, and I enjoy reading his posts.  So start by going to @LanceBass.

I hope you have enjoyed this post!  I hope you enjoy the book if you decide to get it.  For those who have read it, or have been a 'NSync fan, what did you think?  Post your comments!

Summer Conclusion

It is way after midnight, and I cannot believe that I am writing this.  It has been some since I have made my way on here.  I recall this time last year, I still managed to write, and I was twice as busy as I was this summer. But I don't seem to have made time for much of anything else except work.  Oh wait, I know what could be the obstacle....the late night meals at Huddle House that I have learned to do every other night.  I'll certainly have to change that before school starts back up.

I haven't talked since the release since the final Harry Potter movie.  Wow, time sure has flown.  It wasn't that long ago that I was saying that the movie couldn't come fast enough.  I hope everyone isn't mad at me about my first review of the movie.  I went back and saw it for the second time that week, and actually liked it better the second.  But I figured you didn't want to hear me babble about it again.

After my reviews, I actually was going to return with a article titled either "Summer Excitements" or "Summer Revival".  Alot of great things were happening for me during that time, and if I had time, I was going to talk to about it.  But like all good things, they must come to an end.  I would talk about it now, but it is a thing in the past, I have moved on from it, and seems irrelevant now.  Sorry, I guess that means you will just have to guess what it was.

These past two weeks have been interesting and fast pacing at the same time.  I jumped in the car with my family, and headed down to Panama City Beach, Florida.  My most favorite vacationing spot in the world.  I removed all tech except my phone and iPod from my life, and took books and pen and paper with me.  And it was amazing for me, because it really got me focused on my reading, and my writing on my book.  Remember about that?

But the trip included lots of sun, tanning, shopping and eating.  Oh, and how the eating was good!  And remind me never go into a bookstore while they are going out of business.  I walked into Border's closing sales, and walked out with 6 titles, including a 500-paged word search book.

And also in these past couple of weeks, I have uncovered some things.  Some things are great, some not so much.  And while some of these things could bring me to a new level of happy, some of those things could bring me in a new level of hell.  Right now, I'm just taking it all one minute at a time, and hoping nothing goes in the crapper.  Pray for me.

But what I really want to talk about is my book.  I guess I can call it that, since I have a good chunk invested in it now.  If you have been following my tweets, you probably read about me writing by the pool or beach.  When I was done reading, I had nothing else to do but write.  It was a great trick I played on myself by planning it earlier with the romoval of tech such as computers with WiFi and game consoles.

But I think I wrote for a total of 10 hours combined there, the most commitment I have put towards it in a 5 day time frame.  And it really helped me deepen my plot, organize my thoughts one it, and helped set in stone where I wanted to go from there in the story.  I told my followers that I was probably a forth into the book, which seems alot.  But now I have returned home, and meshing what I have on paper with what I have on my computer makes me think I have just scratched the surface with this story.

Right now I'm just going to spend a day or two going over my writing from the past week, and see how that works with what I already had.  And hopefully that will launch me into a fast pace in getting the story done.  When will I get it done?  No idea.  I'm hoping soon!

I'm guessing I need to stop here, and get some sleep before I return to my usual routine.  But this was fun.  I certainly want to come back and talk more.  Hope to be back soon!

Other Perspective

I felt that I needed to return to the Harry Potter finale topic after I seemed to be attacking the story and saying it was a horrible representation of the storyline. After cooling from my vent from yesterday, and hearing what other fans had to say, I figured I needed to return and talk not about what I didn't like about the movie, but what I did like, and how other fans have reacted.

Early numbers have already arrived, with over $43.5 million dollars coming in just from the midnight showings. That means that a rough number of 6.2 million people lined out the doors to get a first look into the movie. These numbers have already broken box office records, and this is just the beginning. Imagine the overall take that the movie will bring for the weekend.

Okay, so my last post focused on the bad parts on the film. I'm sorry, but I like to watch movie adaptations that are more honest to the book because I have read the book and there is already an expectation inside my mind. And with changes in the movies, it disrupts that flow, preventing me from enjoying the movie, and instead picking every little detail until I have a tally of every little change.

But I'm not going to talk about what I didn't like anymore, I'm going to spend some time on what I did like.

I liked the scene inside Gringotts. This part was very truthful to the book. And this was a moment where comedy could be accepted. And it was really great to see inside the deep vaults, something we haven't seen since the first year. And the scene with the dragon created excitement and urgency of the moment.

Probably my most favorite part of the film was after Harry's death in Kings Cross. I loved seeing Dumbledore again, someone that played a vital part without really being a part of the film. And while the part was longer in the book, where he explained the meaning behind the Deathly Hallows and the situation with his sister, the movie was good to explain the past 17 years, and then helped explain the many possibilities into the future.

So there were some good parts to the movie, that I won't lie. Just some things are a disappointment. But today, after my last post, there was a sense of ending. You think that this feeling would be away after the end of the 7th book, but the movie confirms that this is it, and now more. It has been a great 10 years, and I was so happy growing up with it.

It All Ends

Early this morning, thousands gathered to celebrate and watch the end of an era and celebrate the last decade worth of excitement and fantasy. The end of the Harry Potter saga with the movie "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II" reached theatres last night. Applause began as the lights dimmed and it continued throughout the movie. But at the end of the movie, I got up and left without joining the hoots and hollers. I was severely disappointed in the film, and thought it was a lie and horrible representation of the finale. And if you haven't seen it already, I wanted to warn you about a few things to look for, and some things that made the film look silly. You should be warned: There will be spoilers!

While the overall plot was the same, I would say that only 40% of the film was truthful to the book. While I probably will always be known as the book critic that looks for any little detail that has changed, this film changed so many things that I finally looked at my friend and said "This isn't right." Some things include the change where the death of Snape occured, the severe damage that was dealt on Hogwarts, the sneak attack that occured inside the castle, with the film version having Harry disguise as a student to get into the Great Hall, with the Order of the Pheonix shortly behind him. We also see the final scene change greatly. Instead of it starting at the castle entrance, then finishing in the Great Hall, the film starts it at the entrance, then takes it to the top of the castle, then to the clocktower, then back to the entrance where it ends.

Another thing that changed drastically was the end that occured after Voldemort's death. We don't see the celebration occur in the Great Hall, nor do we see the professors return the school colors back on the walls. We then don't see Harry and the gang head up to Dumbledore's office and have one last conversation with his portrait and determine what to do with the Deathly Hallows. We don't see Harry restore his wand with the Elder Wand and then agree to return it to Dumbledore's tomb, nor do we see them discuss about the stone and cloak. Instead, we see Harry break the wand in two and throw it down into the depths. And you would think that they would have talked about the Hallows more since the past two movies were titled "Deathly Hallows."

But there was one part that stuck out to me the most, and really bothered me that it wasn't explored more within the two movies. In the book, Remus and Tonks are married, and before the raid at the Ministry, Remus tells Harry that Tonks is pregnant. I was okay that they didn't discuss it in the first film because I thought they would return to the storyline in the second. But Tonks has the baby named Teddy during their stay at Shell cottage, and they name Harry the Godfather in the book, and yet none of this was mentioned in the movie. Instead, we had that small clue that she was pregnant in the first film, then we discover that they have a son during the scene with Harry's dead family and friends. But no mention of Teddy was made during the epilogue, which was a big deal in the book.

And then there were the deaths of the movie. While alot of the deaths in the series wern't mentioned until after Harry sees their dead bodies, the one that wasn't viewed greatly was the death of Fred (correct me if I'm wrong). His death was a very emotional scene in the book, with Percy, the brother we haven't seen since year 5, come running up beside him in the battle, and then discovers his brother's death and carries him across the battlefield. In the film, Percy was not given a speaking role, and the death of Fred was not shown.

But there were more issues in the movie besides dishonesty to the book. There wasn't any hype or excitment during the movie. For 3 years, we have been anticipating the fight scenes because the fight scenes in movie 6 were removed to create hype for the 7th. But they failed to get me off my seat, which they sucessfully were able to do in the 5th movie. Nor did they focus on a fight long enough to raise my interest. And any fight that could have potentially been great, was cut short to focus on a scene that was slower and not as serious.

And then there was the issue that some parts seemed comical in a "Serious" situation. I know that they wanted to hit all of the emotional points, but this part of the series is life or death, and comical moments should be kept at a minimum. My gosh, Harry was presumed dead in Hagrid's arms, and the audience was laughing at a comical joke made by Voldemort. Probably not the best time for that.

So, Ladies and Gentlemen, while they got the overall plot right, they failed to spark my intrests by not staying truthful to the film, and not focusing on the best parts. And I'm not the only one that thought all of this, many people had the same views just as we were leaving the theatre. Sorry Mr. Yates, but I don't think you will have many fans on your side after this film.

So friends, out of a score of 10, I would rate the film a 6.5 or 6. Simply for not staying truthful to the book and no good fight scenes. But other than that, the graphics were great, and the gathering with the community to watch the end of a great era was worth every penny and time. But I know for sure that if you haven't read the book before and just stayed truthful to the movies, you will love this one, and will probably rate it better than I did.

So what did you think of the movie? What do you rate it? And did you watch it after reading the books? Post your comments!

NY Vote

Tonight was the night that made history no matter what the outcome became.  Occuring in the Senate Chambers in Albany, New York, senators from the state gathered to vote on several bills, one in particular was the Gay Marriage bill which has been in much controversy for each state for years.  The NY assembly had approved that religious groups against gay marriage from discrimination lawsuits.  This left only the vote from the senate to decide the fate on same marriage in NY.

Around 5 this evening, tweets went around that the vote in the NY senate would be taking place tonight. I went ahead and tuned in, and started streaming the session on this site.  And I must say, I had no idea how long it took for a senate to gain all of the votes from the senators.  They all have their own story for why they are voting yay or nay.  So close to 5 hours later, the bill was finally introduced to the floor.  Before that moment, there were only 18,000 viewers viewed online.  But when it was introduced, the views jumped up above 32,000 views.

After the amendments were passed, applause could be heard throughout the chamber.  And then we begin to see the opposition in the debate.  Senator Ruben Diaz stirred the pot by continuing to talk and talk, and then refused to stop when the President advised him to come to a close.  And after two attempts, the President managed to subdue him.  But it is so funny, because Twitter went on fire with this guy, saying that he just made the biggest mistake with the actions he made LIVE on the internet and TV.

At this point, close to 50,000 people were watching this live stream.  With a few more senators that went way longer than the rules, and then a long recess for the President to meet with senetors, the results came.  At 10:30, the results were that the bill had been passed.  Thunderous applause came, taking the President a minute to return the chamber to order.  At one point I thought that he would just throw the gabble and just let them applaud.  But eventually he continued, and in between orders to shut the doors to remove the sound of screaming supporters, adjourned the session.

I bet people around the world are celebrating this.  One of the most populated areas just agreed to equality in marriage.  While some states already have this in effect, I think that the NY vote was very important.  I think this will cause many other states to follow in NY's steps and make a better effort towards equality.

So like I said, history was made tonight.  But the question still remains.  Is this debate on Same-Sex marriage over?  And do you think there will be any other states that will present a same bill within the upcoming months?

Andy Grammer

I will once again skip the "Smallville Cast Series," and move to another topic that I have been wanting to talk about.  Last week, a new album was released by Andy Grammer, a new artist that has made his way to the major leagues.  Music has been in his whole life, and now it is paying off.  And with support from big people such as Nick Jonas, many people are paying attention, and now buying his work.

I first became aware of Andy when his single "Keep Your Head Up" appeared on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown.  I instantly was attracted to the song with it's up tempo and beat.  After listening to it, I was ready to buy it, and all of the songs that were to follow.  But when I found out that the album was going to be released soon, I waited.  And it turns out that it was all worth it.

When the album was released last Tuesday, I instantly bought it, and it is just amazing.  All of the songs have a unique beat and theme.  Now was the best time to release it because of the summer feel it has with it. It has many catchy songs such as "Keep Your Head Up", "Lunatic", "Ladies", and "Miss Me."

If you found out about the album last week, you were able to get on of the songs from the album for free.  And it didn't matter which one it was, because they all were amazing!  But it was a chance for any potential fans to get a slight taste of his great work!

So how has the album done so far?  Well, great!  On iTunes, it has been featured many times, including the Free Single.  It currently has a 5 star rating with 450 reviewers, and it is currently #30 on the pop charts!  Very good stats right now.

Man, I hate it when I don't have alot more to say about a great album!  But sometimes, words cannot describe how good something is!

Go ahead and follow Andy on Twitter.  I promise that you will love reading his tweets!  You can follow him here.  And make sure to buy his album!  You can do that here.  And I promise that you will not be disappointed!

And Andy, I wish you the best of luck!  And I hope to hear more music and news about your success soon!!

Pottermore

The Harry Potter legacy is one that will never be forgotten by this generation, and generations after it.  It has brought people, including yours truly, to become a fan of reading and being able to imagine an amazing tale of heroism and fantasy.  The books have come to a close, and the final chapter in the movie series is only weeks away.  So what could possibly come to help keep the legacy alive and well?

Pottermore.  What else could it mean than the expansion of the wizarding universe.  When word of "Pottermore" came out, many thought it was a new book.  Rumor of a possible other Harry Potter novel was circulating the web.  But Rowling has denied these rumors, saying "I'm pretty sure I'm done on the novel front."  So what excactly will this pottermore site include?  Well before the exciting announcement made by Rowling, reports showed that it is to be an online Harry Potter game and global treasure hunt.

With Rowling's official announcement, she says that it is a "free, collaborative website that will offer readers an online reading experience with extensive new material about the world of Potter."  She also went to say "I’m thrilled to say I’m now in a position to give you something unique: an online reading experience unlike any other. It’s called Pottermore. Pottermore will be where fans of any age can share, participate in, and rediscover stories…. I’ll be joining in, too, because I’ll be sharing additional information I’ve been hoarding for years about the world of Harry Potter.”  You can watch the full announcement here

So this site is something that many fans have been looking for.  They have been looking for something to help them live the experience, a way to buy audiobooks and ebooks.  And this may very well be the encyclopedia of Harry Potter that we have been looking forward to since the release of "Deathly Hallows".

Sorry guys, but the site won't be open until October.  But this gives you time to sign up by email and may get the chance to play the site early.  There is one clue that J.K. gave, and I think it is "Follow the Owl".  So make sure to keep your eyes open for anything new.  If you want to stay up to date with the site, you can always follow Pottermore on Twitter @pottermore

So what do you think about this news?  Are you excited?  Will you be a part of this new legacy about to become real?  Post your comments now!

See No More

Let's take a small break from our "Smallville Cast Series", and talk about some of the best music right now.  Now, some may be shocked that I am going to talk about this, but let's talk about Joe Jonas and his song "See No More".  Word of the song was spreading for months, and now this week, fans finally have a chance to buy it and listen to it.  And to the people who wasn't a fan of the Jonas Brothers trio, you will certainly have to take a listen at this song.

We weren't suprised to hear that Joe would break away from the trio and attempt at his solo career.  We were even more shocked that he wasn't the first one, it was Nick that started the trend.  It sent Joe lovers screaming for release dates and cover arts.  They got what they wanted, finding out that the single would be released this week, and saw a simple cover of Joe with "See No More" in funky styles.

I heard the song for the first time, and I was shocked by how much I liked it.  It was very different from the songs he performed with his brothers.  It is certainly a song that people would enjoy to dance to.  But the lyrics are powerful, and sends you visioning about what would happen in the song's situation.

"I don't wanna wait for you
I don't wanna wake up thinkin, hopin
You'll get it right this time
'Cause you know that you’re so cold
I don't wanna see no more
And I can’t get away from you"

Fans went hot over the song when it hit radio, and they are even more hot for it now that the song has been released.  He took to Twitter and his 2.1 million followers to help advertise the song.  The song is in the top 20 in the pop iTunes charts and is close to reaching the top 50 overall.

If you ask me about it, I would certainly tell you to buy it.  It is catchy, hot, powerful, and just something fun to listen to.  Joe certainly has a great group of writers with him for this album.  Which reminds me that the album will be out later this year, so stay tuned for that.  But for now, if you want to buy the single, you can do that here.  And if you are one of the few people that isn't following him, you can do that now by clicking here

So what do you think of the song?  Do you think this will be a good representation of the album to come?  And are you now a fan of Joe if you weren't a fan of the JB?  Post your answers and spread the word about this great song!

Cassidy Freeman

Enjoyed the start to our "Smallville Cast Series?"  We have recieved alot of views from it, which means that people are dying to hear more about the cast from Smallville.  Well don't worry, I have more for you, and today we feature the lovely Cassidy Freeman.

Cassidy is one of the few cast members on my list that I didn't know before watching the show.  And when the end of season 7 concluded, I wondered who would be taking the spot for Rosenbaum's character, Lex Luthor.  And when starting the beginning of season 8, I quickly knew that the character Tess Mercer was going to be a big favorite of mine.

In the season, we see Mercer become the acting CEO of LuthorCorp after Lex's disappearance.  And throughout the season, we see her using all of her resources to find Lex, which only leads up to the big mystery of Clark.  That leads to her gathering a group of meteor-infected humans, and several illegal acts to find out that Clark is from Krypton, and known as Kal-El.  We also see that she was once romantically involved with Oliver Queen, known as Green Arrow.  Upon learning that Lex is still alive, the lovely Lana returns to warn her about her loyalty to Lex.  She exposes that Lex implanted a device into Mercer's optic nerve to observe everything she did.  His betrayel sent her over the edge and vowed to sell everything he owned.  And throughout the season 9, we see her become loyal to the Zod and help him build a solar tower.  That is as far I got into the season, so forgive me.  But I do know that she is the lost love child of Lionel Luthor.  And I have reason to believe that she later sides with Clark and his team.  I really hope so.  A good character like that can't always be bad.

But I just love how the character is portrayed.  She is so confident, beautiful, and talented.  And this may not make sense, but she is dressed for power and success.  And she reminds me of  Selina Kyle with her Good Guy/Bad Guy personality.  And I love how she joins up with the Suicide Squade with the powerful Amanda Waller.  A great team!!

So what does she do beyond Smallville?  Well besides Smallville, she has degrees in Theatre and Spanish.  She starred in the film "YellowBrickRoad" and other shows such as CSI.  And her hobbies include hiking, quilting and singing.  And speaking of singing, she has an album out with her brother and Andy Mittion called "The Read D'Coy", which is really good.  I haven't bought it yet, but I think you all should.  You can buy it now here

So that is the beautiful Cassidy Freeman.  I look forward to watching her in more Smallville episodes, and possibly in any future shows that she is in.  I wish you the best of luck Cassidy!

Now, who will be my next cast member to talk about?  Hmm...let's see....no clue.  But you can find out tomorrow.  But until then, start talking about your favorite cast member, and see if they will make the cut!

Allison Mack

So this is something I wanted to talk about for awhile.  Since November, I have wanted to talk about Smallville.  Now, I'm sure some of you have watched it some time or another.  I just started it in November, and right now I am on season 9.  But instead of talking about every season and every little plot in the season, I wanted to take a different turn.  Instead, I want to talk about the cast that makes it all possible.  I call this my "Smallville Cast Series".  But I won't be including the obvious Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk or Erica Durance.  Instead, I will be talking about 4-5 of the cast members between seasons 1-10 that have really stood out to me, and their role in the series.

So who should I start out with?  Well, no other than Allison Mack!

It turns out that I knew about Allison before I ever started watching Smallville.  After watching a few episodes of the first season, I finally recognized her from the role she played in "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves."  And then even later I found out that she played a role in 7th Heaven.  I have watched both so many times that I am suprised that I didn't recognize her sooner.

Allison has been a part of the Smallville family from the beginning, and I couldn't see her out of the picture.  She became an instant favorite after watching the show.  We started watching her play the role of Chloe Sullivan, a teen journalist for the school.  And while she didn't know Clark's secret at the beginning, she played a vital role in his discoveries and completions of his missions.

We then see Chloe finally knowing Clark's secret, and the burden it puts on her.  She must now cover for him when Lana is around, and she is put in situations that could danger her life.  I think this era was when we started seeing Chloe/Allison becoming a true part in the plots in each episode.  But I think it was the next era in the Chloe chapter that defines the character.

At the end of season 7, we saw Rosenbaum and Kreuk leave the show, and Allison being bumped up to their spot, and her storyline evolving.  We got to see her play the Brainac role and then we got to see her finally have a love interest with Jimmy Olsen.  But at the end of Season 8, and the death of Jimmy, we see Chloe's role change dramatically, taking the lead and becoming the center of the Watch Tower and guide to all the heroes of Metropolis.

And then with season 9 we see her go to new levels.  We see her taking up the responsibity to bringing the group back, trying to find Clark and to finding Lois.  And then when all is back to normal, it is her being on the front line to help Clark fight the terror in the city, as well as putting the rest of the team into very difficult situations to help them find themselves.  I haven't finished the rest of Season 9, so I don't know what her future is right now, but I am where Chloe and Oliver sort of have a spark.  So I am very excited to see what happens.

But what has Allison been doing since the end of Smallville?  Well from her twitter, she likes to put out quotes, and mention her songs of the day.  And right now, she is in Shakespeare school.  Here is what she says:

"Day 1 of my Shakespeare school is done! It was amazing! Although I almost peed I was so nervous."  And then "day 2 and 3. my mind is being blown. my classmates are fantastic. i have never felt so loved in such a short period of time. instant family."  Glad you are having fun Allison.

So let's just say that Chloe is possibly one of my favorite characters on the show, and Allison is possibly one of my most favorite cast members on the show.  Thank you Allison for making the show so enjoyable with you on it!!  So if you do not follow Allison right now, you should do so.  Go follow her @allisonmack.  I hope to hear from you soon Allison!

And that is all for our first part into the "Smallville Cast Series."  Make sure to tune in next time for the next cast member.  Who will it be?  Post your thoughts now!!
