Life Changes

What to say, what to say?  To be honest, it is getting harder and harder for words to flow out of my mouth.  Mainly because of all of these new things going on in my life that makes things harder to write about.  Although, I spent 30 minutes writing an essay for a scholarship, and at the end I had it written and everything, and I think it was the most powerful thing I have ever written.  I will certainly have to post it on here for all of you to read one day.

I start working on Thursday.  I have spent years trying to get a job.  Everywhere they said that I wasn't old enough, or it wasn't just a good time to hire, or "We'll deffinately call you for an interview", but never do.  But here I am, about ready to start a new job.  It is really a weird feeling.  I am excited and nervous.  I sit her going "What if I do everything wrong on the first day?"  But I know there will be a point at the beginning where I may feel like I'm lost.  But I'm sure that the rough patches will fade soon.

I also registered for college over the past few weeks.  And it was so overwhelming.  I really never pictured myself going to college.  It's not that I didn't plan on graduating, it was the fact that I have never planned for things after high school.  I'm certainly going to have to.

Ah, okay.  On to other things.  Bret Michaels was rushed to the hospital late last weed due to a brain subarachnoid hemorrhage.  Since then he has stayed in ICU at an undisclosed area.  We have seen him over the past few months on the 3rd season of the Celebrity Apprentice.  He has been a really good player and really competes for what he believes in.  He has been at risk of elimination many times due to some of his ideas that were good, but not amazing compared to the girl's team.  Now we may be able to see some new already-recorded episodes before his incident occured, but I don't expect him to return for the finale.

Talk to you all soon!

Former Ambitions

Well still no USA release from Brian Mcfadden.  I guess my next thing to look foward to is the new Tuesday releases and hope for it to be released then.  But I'm not holding my breath.

Anyways, lately I have been thinking of my past journeys on the internet.  It is amazing to think that I have revolutionized my technological methods really in only 3 years.  Before then kids my age was really into IM Messaging and Email and internet games.  I remember when the last Harry Potter book was due to be released was when I began my first new internet journey.

That time was when I was really exposed to forums.  I remember when the Wizarding Wireless Podcast was out on Itunes.  I remember how they always talked about Harry Potter and discuss their theories about the new book, then asked us to go on their forum and talk about our own theories.  I was so impressed with how the forum worked and how members spent alot of their time talking.  So I started one of my own.

After several different tries with different sites, I finally settled down with one.  And I wanted it to be a Harry Potter forum with a title that worked well with the new book.  So I called it Deathly Hallows.  There were so many people that came on to talk about their theories.  DH was also the place where many of the different controversial "fake" versions of the book came up.  We spent alot of time determining the authenticity of the books.  But it was really a good time to have with so many internet friends.

After the release of the book, the site really went quiet and has been that way for the 3 years since.  It was heartbreaking for many to not be able to theorize about the books anymore.  Even though the forum was close to dead, it paved the road for a new forum that would last for years.

I'm talking about Chatter World.  Many of you who read this have been loyal fans of the site for years.  I began this era of my forum days around the beginning of September many years ago.  It was based on general topics and then also talked about specifics.  The site grew for so many years and had so many loyal fans.  But like many other sites, this one also has also met it's end.  I have decided to close the site the first of June.  I know that is shocking to some, but that era has passed and is time to move on.

Another method I have used throughout the years is podcasting.  This was an interesting way to get in contact with people.  I have done tons during this time such as a few Deathly Hallow episodes, a few featuring Delta Goodrem, and my own podcast version of Chatter World, Chatter Tyler's Podcast.  I have to admit, this was not my most successful move.  The listeners were not really pleased with it and I agree.  I understand that it is hard to hear one person talking about the same thing for episodes all the time.  So this thing really didn't last long.

And the last can current thing I'm doing right now is blogging.  Ha yep, your reading my new crave.  And to be honest, this is a mix of everything, talking about everything like in my forum, and speaking out about it like my podcasts.  This is certainly one my favorite things to do.  And it is so awesome to have you reading it!!

Now that I reread this post I notice that some of this doesn't make sense.  So please bear with me haha.  I hope you enjoyed my journey down memory lane and I'll see you later!!

No Release

I was going to write a review about Brian Mcfadden's new album, 'Wall of Soundz'.  But it turns out that it isn't going to be released in the USA.  At least not yet.  So that means I get to rant.  Lucky for you.

I really don't understand why the album wasn't released on the USA Itunes.  I mean, Brian said that it would be released worldwide on Itunes April 23rd.  Well it is long past when it should be released.  And nothing.  People are saying that when he says and I quote, "looks like the album will be available on itunes worldwide on day of oz release... so cool" that he really wasn't planning on releasing it right away.

Here is another quote that he says that really doesn't show any sign of a USA release soon.  ""I’m going to go to America. I’m in negotiations at the moment with two companies about getting a deal, so I think that’s going to be the next step, straight after AGT."  You can read the full article here

Not having it released last night was a very big disappointment for me.  I don't know why, but I was really looking for it.  His single 'Just say so' and 'Mistakes' featuring Delta Goodrem really got me excited.

I'm not going to stop trying to get my hands on this album.  Who knows, maybe it will be released later on today, or maybe Tuesday.  But I'm telling ya, it is a real disappointment when the artist says that it will be released worldwide on one day and then it never happens.

Don't get me wrong, Brian is a good artist and I respect his work.  I would be this way with any artist.  When it IS released, I'll do a proper review.  What I have heard so far from it, it is a pretty amazing album!!

Talk to you all soon!

Goodbye Urban

Lots to get through on this post.  Lol hope you can keep up.  First of all, I wanted to go over what happened in last night's episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent.  The episode was called 'Delicate' so here we go!

This episode was WAY better than last week's. I was expecting the first Nichols/Stevens episode to be a bit rocky...but this one was really good. I didn't spend the whole time thinking about Goren/Eames. The story was really good. I enjoyed how the equality of parts was between Goldblum and Burrows compared to last week. They really should have used this one as the start with the N/S era.

Still not sure about the captain though. I enjoyed Ross way to much to enjoy her right now.

One thing that I did notice was that they used the same woman from Goldblum's second to last episode last season with Erbe. The girl's mother in that episode was the same in this episode. I figured they could have used someone else.

But overall, really good. I could sit down and actually watch this new era of the show with some interest. I hope the unsure G/E fans enjoyed it as much as I did. I really hope the ratings go up because it deserved it more this week than last week.

Now on to the news for you disappointed American Idol heartthrobs.  Yes, Tim Urban has left the stage.  We saw him become the suprising replacement of one of the supposed top 24.  Many of the judges thought it was a mistake to keep him on, but here he is, the top 7.

Let's be realistic though.  The big reason, if not the main reason, was that he got the popular vote.  There were some nights where it was just unbearable to hear him sing.  Then there were others that were really good.  He was just an unpredictable character and I wasn't suprised to see him go.

But I'm sure some of you are in tears.  But don't worry, I'm sure he will have a record deal before labor day, which is good for him since he wore white tonight.  Get it?  Ah, I'm terrible at jokes.  Don't listen to anymore of my jokes.

Also, just wanted to say real quick, a blog viewer asked me to post some pictures of my prom night.  And to save you the time of loading the pics on here you can go here and view them!!  Enjoy!!
Well that's it for tonight.  See you soon!!

One Prom Night and Three Eliminations

Last night all feels like a dream.  A rather short dream.  It was so much fun though, you can't even imagine.  Spending time with friends and dancing all night long really makes you come out of you shell and just really be yourself.  Yes, I'm talking abour prom.  I recall talking about this yesterday, I think.

I won't lie, there were some things that really got me worried and anxious.  I wasn't sure of how many sober people would show up, some of them in my own group.  I wasn't really a fan of the resturant that we were going to eat at.  I was out of the loop in some of the planning discussions.  But you know what?  When it finally came down to going to prom and eating and taking pictures, none of that mattered.

Wow, how wild I was last night.  I danced with tons of people, reconnected with old friends, and possibly stepped on some toes of people I don't like.  They'll get over it in time.  Sadly, my group left early last night so some of the group could make it to their midnight curfew.  But I think it worked out in the end because I was dog tired.  I'm still thinking about taking a nap.

Okay, okay, enough about prom.  On to more interesting things.  We actually haven't talked American Idol lately.  I wanted to interest some American Idol fans a bit with this post.  Since my last AI talk, 3 people have been eliminated, two within one week.

Didi Benami was the first to go.  She was really talented, but she really didn't have the strong voice to make it all the way to the top.  But don't worry, I expect her to make an album that has a very mellow tune to it.

Next week we saw Michael Lynche fall with the lowest votes.  Luckily for him though, the judges used their one time save to keep him in for the next week.  But that only means that next week two would be leaving.

Last week there were two who went home.  Andrew Garcia quickly left the show that episode, even before Adam Lambert was even able to do his laser show and his very dragged out version of 'What do you want from me'.  Andrew was also really good, but he raised the bar to high and quickly with his Paula Abdul song.  I do see him singing like Maroon 5 very soon though.

And then the last one to leave was Katie Stevens.  It was between her and Michael again.  It would have been really humiliating if he was saved one week, then eliminated the next.  But he was saved, leaving Katie in tears.  I don't know why she was crying, she will get a record deal before she knows it!!

Well that seems like all the time we have for today!  Stay tuned for more great stuff coming!!

Rush

My, how long it has been since my last post.  To be truthful, I have been so busy that I haven't even dreamed of posting.  But today I have a few moments in my busy day to talk to you.  So I'm taking advantage of it!

Today is Prom for my area.  Yay!!  Everybody is so excited and so am I.  Don't remind me that this will be my last prom night.  Just one more thing that is 'Last' while I'm still in highschool.  I hope me and my friend don't cry our eyes out right there on the dance floor.

I hope this year everybody will try to be as safe as they can.  Last people were so reckless.  Getting drunk and high as a kite.  I don't do stuff like that so you can see why I think it is so stupid.  Especially at prom.  But it's their own life.  I just hope they understand the possible consequences.

Anyways, I got a Job!!  A very BIG yay for that!!  It is at an arcade that is in our are.  It is like Chucky Cheeses, but way bigger.  I have been working hard to at least get an interview there for months, and then all of a sudden I get the interview and job at the same time!!  I'm not working yet, but I plan on working sometime next week.  So exciting!!

Well guys that is all I have to say for today.  Stay tuned for more things coming this way!!

New Era

It seems so long since my last post.  To be honest I have been so busy!!!  I won't talk much about it yet, but I have been working on plans with prom, and I actually got a job!!  Not working yet, but hopefully soon!!

But for now I wanted to talk a few seconds about the new Law and Order CI episode that just ended here on the East Coast.  Here is my review, enjoy!

I thought it was good considering the low expectations that was said among fans. I found some parts confusing. The part where they are introduced with the captain for the first time that we saw in the preview was not present in this episode. I wanted to see that part because I had some hope that she would include what happened to Eames and/or Goren for like two seconds.

Either that scene was only filmed to be shown as a preview, or we just saw an episode that was supposed to air later on, bringing back thoughts of what happened in Season 8, and roughing up an already flustered group of fans, or what is left of it now.

Which brings me to my next point, maybe they are just trying to act like this team has been together for some unknown time. If that is the case, they should have considered adding more because we can't take all of this in and expect to act like we have known these characters for years.

And we didn't even most of the captain. I only saw small bits. And there a lenght of time, like 15-20 minutes where we didn't even see her. I thought they would include her more to introduce her character and see how she works, like I just said in the last part.

My favorite part would have been when Nichols pushed the old guy against the wall and made sure he got what he wanted. This is a side that we haven't seen before, and I think that would make his character grow a little bit more interesting.

Some parts seemed odd, but then other parts worked well. The end worked so well and really sold me. It gave me hope for future episodes.

I'm sure we will be getting ratings soon later this week, and sadly, I expect low ratings due to the heavy loss of CI fans. But there is always a chance that JG fans came in a big swarm to watch. Only time will tell.

So what did you think of the episode?  Like it, hate it?  Will you continue to be a loyal CI fan?  Comment now!!  I'll talk to you soon!

Reconnection

It feels so good to get back home.  I slept in today and woke up thinking it was really early.  I think I got use to that California time really easily.

So in my area, prom is just around the corner.  And for the few that has stuck with me from the beginning, you will remember the fiasco from the last prom.  It wasn't really what happened right then and there, but what happened afterwards.  You can read all about it in my posts 'Destroyed by Love' and 'The Love Hate Situation- Pt III'.

But anyways, this time so close to prom really got me thinking about my friend.  Even now, after all this past year, you can feel such hatred and tension. But then I started to think that hey, maybe some of it was my fault that went on between us.  Of course.  I did stuff that made her think that I was interested in her, and then I just tried to run from the situation after what happened to try and sort it out, which only made it worse.

So today, I talked to her and actually apologized for the things I did that contributed to the dissolvement of our friendship.  She was very hostile at the beginning, but getting more indepth in the conversation she seemed more calm and willing to work this out.  Our conversation has ended for now, but it is at a good place at this moment.

But will I return to the point where me and her were friends?  No.  What happened, happened.  And what was said was said.  We have both said things that has ruined our friendship beyond repair.  And then I still have those threatening messages that she sent me.  I think that it is just better to walk away and go our seperate way, but with the slate cleaned.  But things are still in the works, so who knows.

And there was also another friend of mine that I have lost contact with that I seemed to connect a little bit with again.  Apparently, they live near me now so we have less distance to talk.  But, there is also the thing that made our friendship complicated.  But we actually talked about it as well, and we seem to be on the same page again.  But at the same time, things could go either way.

So I actually feel better about myself now.  I feel like the bigger person by trying to reestablishing these friendships.  Only time will tell though.  Until next time!

Legacy of the Force

I didn't know how many people were so outraged about the new cast for Law and Order Criminal Intent.  On the USA forums, there is tons of outrage and many are refusing to watch next week's show.  And then there are rumors that Goldblum and Burrows are having problems making this new team work, and then there is word that Erbe may even return after they made her leave.  So much speculation.

Okay, enough of that for now.  For now I wanted to do my review on the Legacy of the Force series that I just finished reading not too long ago.  This series takes place after the time of the New Jedi Order Series and the Dark Nest trilogy.  It is a 9 book series, a lot smaller than the 19-21 book series that NJO offered.

Spoilers!!!

Mainly this series consists of the downfall of Jacen Solo, later to be titled as Darth Caedus.  When the planet Corellia refuses to accept terms by the Galatic Alliance government, they rebel, causing a new civil war.  The Jedi get involved, then the mysterious Sith Lady, Lumiya, makes contact with Jacen, and tells him of the way to bring peace to the galaxy.  The sith way.

He uses the sith way to help him imagine a galaxy full of peace, and a safe place for his lover, Tenal Ka, and his secret daughter, Allana solo.

From the beginning you begin to see his rise to fame from just normal Jedi Knight to colonel, head of Galactic Alliance Guard, to Joint Cheif-of-State.  Within each book, he falls closer to the dark side until he reaches the climax point, and kills Mara Jade Skywalker, Luke Skywalker's wife, after she discovers what he has become.

That then makes things personal for Luke and his son, Ben.  They are focused on finding Mara's killer, while having to face the opposition of Jacen's guard, and fighting a war and trying to maintain a Jedi Order.  Ben is certain that Jacen is the killer, while Luke is too consumed by his grief to see the truth.  Later on closer to the end, Ben has the necessary proof to show Luke and is able to point the finger at Jacen.

By this point, Jacen is now Joint Chief-of-State, and has proclaimed himself Darth Caedus.  The Jedi have lost whatever control that they had on Jacen, making him almost unstoppable.  Jaina, Jacen's twin sister, then realizes that she is the one that must bring him down, and she cannot do it with the Jedi techniques that she is so used to.  So she travels to the world of Mandalore, and seeks teachings from the Mandalore, the one and only, Boba Fett.

After training and regrouping with the order, Jaina and her family team up with the Madalorians and other parsts of the galaxy to take down Jacen Solo once and for all.  And after a very grusome battle, she finally defeats him and kills him.  They are consumed by brief, but there is a shining star left that ends the story nicely.  We see that Allana Solo has survived the final battle and is put into Leia and Han Solo's care.  The one happy thought of a very heartbreaking tale.

Overall, I thought the story was great!!  It shows you that even the best can fall for what seems like the right reasons.  You get to see the Jedi at it's peak in years, and you get to see them struggle to maintain what they have fought for for so many years!!  A very nice series to read, although I think you need to read NJO and Dark Nest before you can dig into this one.

Well that seems to be my review for today.  Stay tuned for my opinion of yesterday's American Idol results, and the continuing controversy of the Law and Order Criminal Intent series!

Loyalty Part II

Hello guys!!  It has been quite some time since my latest post.  And my, how much I have missed blogging!  I actually would have done it sooner, but this hotel in San Diego won't let you have the internet in the room for free.  You have to pay a freaking $10+ a day just to use it.  Fortunately, I found out a little less than a hour ago that they serve free internet in the lobby.  And that is where I'm at right now.

Major spoilers!!

I could write about so many things right now, but the main thing would have to be about the second part of Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  We saw Goren and Eames leave the show last night, and pass on the torch to Goldblum's character.  I made sure that we got to our room on time so I could watch it.

I could talk about the episode forever, but I thought I would just hit the highlights.  The beginning was a great farewell to Captain Ross.  I really didn't expect them to show the funeral, but it was nice to see them say goodbye to him for the last time.

The next part is when Eames is given the chance to become captain.  And until the very end you think she will come through.  But her having to fire Goren seemed too hard for her, leading her to decline on the offer.  I don't understand what diffrence it made, he was going to get fired one way or the other.  But of course Eames wasn't returning so there was not other way around it.

As for Goren, I thought this episode really didn't give his moment to shine.  Specific episodes in season 7 really made him shine, which makes you think that this wasn't the best way for him to exit.  Season 7 had the best storyline for Goren to exit.  And the finale in season 7 would have left us knowing that he would be able to start fresh, and leave Major Case behind.  I felt that him getting fired really didn't tie up the loose ends that he had with the squad such as his nephew, Donny.  It was a disappointment when we didn't find out what happened to him in season 8.  Now we don't know if we ever will find out.

Now the final scene, where Goren and Eames say goodbye is the climax of the entire show.  This was the point where the Goren/Eames shippers could have had what they have wanted, if the part was written just a tad diffrently.  We see Goren kissing Eames on the cheek for actually a long moment, then leaves the scene.  To me, it felt out of place, and really didn't fit the relationship that Eames and Goren have had for 9 years.  And then at the end, when Eames declines on the position as captain, you start to think that she is not taking it for love of Goren.

Ah, I really have to stop talking about it.  It really was a hard episode ot watch and say goodbye.  On the other hand, we saw the partnership of Nichols and Stevens form up.  I felt that the relationship was awkward to start out, like we saw with Det. Logan and Wheeler.  But towards the end, it sorta started to grow on me.  Saffron Burrows character seems like a person that is worth watching at the moment.  I look forward if those two can really carry the torch.

Overall, I thought the episode was really well.  But at the same time, it was a make it or break it moment for the new cast.  They have me sold for now, but whats to say that they have the other Goren/Eames fans sold.  If they fail to keep the attention that the show has been getting for 9 years, I'm afraid that it may be the end for Criminal Intent.

So there was my full in-depth review of the show.  I really hope you enjoyed it!!  Stay tuned tomorrow for a review that I have for the Legacy of the Force Series that I just finished reading!!

California Bound

First of all, this is my 50th post!!!  Thats very exciting and thanks for supporting me to keep writing!!

Now, yesterday was the start of spring break in my area.  So what better than to go somewhere other than here.  Thats right guys, I'm heading to California, San Diego to be exact.  Going to get some sun, and some reading in!  And then we plan on stopping by Disneyland!  Wow, I've been to 3 Disney parks in less than six months.  Interesting....

Well anyways, I'm not really expecting to have a fully functional computer to use over there, so I thought I would say farewell for now.  Make sure to watch the second part of the Law and Order Criminal Intent premiere, American Idol, and I will make sure we will talk about all of that when I get back!!

Breakdown

I know I promised all of you that I would post my L&O review yesterday, but I got held up.  Actually, I was performing with my musical group at Brevard College in NC.  It was such a very exciting time.  And we made a Superior!  How amazing is that!!!  This year's group is the first on in 15 years in our area to make a superior!!  Great job you guys.

Okay, so lets shift over to Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  It was the moment some of us have been waiting for.  While it is the beginning of a new era of crime solving for some, it is the end of a great era for others.  Yes, Tuesday's episode and next Tuesday's will be Vincent D'onofrio and Katheryn Erbe's last apperance on the show.

Today, I'm going to breakdown the entire episode, with some comparisons and reviews.  There will be a ton of spoilers on this one, so for you who haven't seen it yet, beware!  Also, there may be parts of the episode that I misunderstood, so please bear with me.

Okay, so the show starts out like it usually does.  The bad guys do their act, in this case, people seeking out pirates.  But it turns out, they just use their weapons to blow up innocent ships.  The main leaders then notice a very clean authoritive captain that is willing to be apart of a new operation to set up a police for in Somalia.  This could only be the great Captain Danny Ross.  We then see them present the offer to Ross.  And the opening ends to one of the leaders dying.

Ross accepts the 2 million deal to go to Somalia to run this force for two years.  Afterwards, he meets with this "secret" woman and says, "I've sold my soul."  The scene ends when we see that Ross is his new woman are being tailed and photographed.

Throughout the beginning of the first half, Eames and Goren begin to notice the changes in Ross, such as him appearing with the new woman, and acting odd when asked about the case.  Ross then tells the team that the FBI have taken over the case, and to back off.  Of course Goren doesn't, and interviews one of the leaders secretly on his airspace.  We are led to believe that they are now onto Goren, which leads back to Ross.  Ross then gets in the car to meet up with the leaders, and when shown the pictures of him and his woman, is shot dead.

Eames gets the call of Ross's death, and Goren and herself rush down to the crimescene.  The FBI has already taken over, and refuse to let them through.  We then learn that he was undercover, and the woman was actually a FBI agent.  After constant fighting, G & A break through to see their captain for the last time.  They then rush back to major case to get the files at Ross's office before the FBI does.

Back at the Major Case Squad, we see Goren and Eames struggling to gather all of the information.  When they resort to ripping the hardrive out, Det. Zach Nochols (played by Jeff Goldblum) conviently drops by and says that he has a flashdrive.  This is where he teams up with the 2 to find any links to the case.  They find a link and makes an arrest.

They interrogate and breaks the suspect to the point where he is willing to cooperate.  Just at the moment, the FBI shows us, and takes him into custody.  Goren makes his case saying that if they take him he will get away.  And Goren takes off stage to leave us hanging for next week.

This was a really good episode.  It wasn't what I was expecting though.  To be honest, I was hoping for an episode like the season finale of Season 7.  I felt that would have been a whole lot better.  But at the same time, we still haven't seen the second part.  But according to the previews, it looks like it's gonna be juicy!!

Well that pretty much covers it guys!!  I hope you enjoyed my breakdown of the episode, and next week I will have a full detailed review of the 2 part series!!  Stay tuned!!
