Goodbye Chatter World

Well it seems like alot of great things are ending this year.  Lost, 24, Law and Order have all left the stage and will forever be remembered by fans.  And now today Chatter World will join them.

A month or so ago I said that Chatter World would be officially closing on June 1st due to lack of activity and not having the strong passion of topics that it used to have so long ago.  Well today is that day.  Sadly for some, including myself, say goodbye to where we talked to so many people, and made new friends over the years!  While some members just passed by for a time, there were many members who actually treasured the experience.

I remember when I first created the site.  A much more sloppy site was created from a much more sloppy host before we decided to go to freeforums.  But that was laid the foundations to the forum.  After we discovered how hard of a time we were having, we decided to move on to a much more reliable host.  That was were we created a very big family that would last close to 3 years.

Many members were from my Deathly Hallows forum.  While the Harry Potter crave was over with, some decided to stick with Chatter World to get a more diverse area to talk.  After a very long time of advertising, the forum was popular with heated topics, and forum games, made by some very dedicated members.

Let us not forget the group of moderators and assistant admins that were by my side to make this forum such a sucess.  We wanted to not be noticed as some mean people who patrolled the forums, but a cool group that helped made decisions for the site.  We called ourselves the 'Council', which was very similar as the 'Jedi Order Council' that you have seen in the Star Wars movies and books.

While the site had it's good moments, it also had it's bad ones as well.  We had some moments that made members leave, which also lead to the decline in posts.  But like most things, we moved on, and pushed forward.  We even had a moment where we really picked up again for the first time in a real long time!

But even though I say that some events caused members to leave, a big reason is that times come when things have to depart to make room for much bigger things.  My goodness, look at all of the things we have now that we didn't have before CW started.  We have the huge facebook, and the rising fame of twitter, which pretty much takes care of all the networking cravings that people have.  I myself have felt this effect.

So this is why Chatter World is writting it's final chapter today.  It's ending is a beginning for something new, maybe from me, maybe from you, or maybe from someone that will revolutionize the web.  But we will never forget that CW has contributed in paving the road to all of the things that we have experienced today!

So I hope that this is a fitting goodbye for the site, because I know that after nearly 3 years, it deserves it!  Long live Chatter World!

Non-Productive

I really don't know what to say.  The title really says it all.  For this Memorial weekend, I am staying home while my family is out of town at the Titanic Museum.  I would have loved to go, but I had to work Friday and Saturday.  And now that I have a day off, I don't seem to be enjoying it.

I have tried reading, but I am so tired that it is so hard to keep my eyes open.  I can't sleep, because it is the middle of the afternoon, and I hate naps.  And I can't watch movies, because I have watched every single one in the house, and nothing is worth watching on TV.  So I figured why not write about it in my blog.

Well I really can't figure anything else out to talk about.  I guess I will get off of here and feed my face.  Make sure to come back on June 1st for my Goodbye Chatter World post!!

Oh I also forgot!!  I have made a poll for all of you to participate in.  The subject is your favorite artist so far this year. You have ten of the most popular artists around that you can vote on!  Make sure you vote!!  I will announce the winner the end of this week!!

Idol Winner

Well the finale has just ended for tonight.  Millions of people voted, millions watched, but only one won.  Do you know who won?  Well if you don't, then don't worry.  I have the answer for you!

The winner of season nine is Lee Dewyze!!  Suprised?  Well apparently it was a suprise to him as well.  I am watching as we speak and he is speechless!  He truly deserves this spot!

OMG!!  They sang 'Together We Are One' which was written and sung by the lovely Delta Goodrem.  I was so excited to hear it!!  A total shock!!  I really wanted to see her perform...but oh well.  At least a little bit of Delta was alive at this show!!

Personally though, I thought this was by far the worst season!  The judges were not at all hot, the singing was not that good, and neither was the natural, raw talent.  Contestants in the past has know who they want to be and how to be that way.  This season was filled with many people who didn't know who or what they wanted to be as an artist.  I hope that after this season they have realized it.

And we also got to say goodbye to Simon Cowell tonight.  After nine years, he has left to persue new adventures.  We wish him the best of luck, but without him, how long will the show really last?  I mean seriously, he really was the pants of the show, and was the funny villian to watch.  Nobody can really fill his shoes I think.  What about you?

Do you think the show will be back next season?  The show has went way down in ratings, although it is the biggest show around now.  Maybe because there has been so many changes to the show.  Like Cowell leaving, then there was Ellen to replace Abdul, and then there is Kara who thinks she has to tell a story everytime it is her turn to judge.  I guess we will just have to wait and see.  Maybe they should get us to vote on it?

Anyways, I wish the winner the best of luck and I'm sure I will see their new single on the #1 charts on Itunes.  I hope they will enjoy their new car that they are getting!

Goodbye Law and Order

Well the series finale of Law and Order has just concluded.  And may I tell you that it was a perfect ending!  After all of the drama of hearing of the cancellation of the show, and rumors of maybe a future season, it was nice to just finally watch it and close the series with a very nice bow on top!

True, what was supposed to only be the season finale, it had a feeling that even though the story we could see was over, many more could be written by these detectives and prosecutors.

Personally Dick Wolf, I thought it was a great send off, even though it wasn't your intention.  I know you wanted to beat Gunsmoak, but guess what?  It beats it in the eyes of the loyal fans that has supported this show and all of the others in the past 20 years!  Be proud, and know that the journey is not over with!!

Now we are down to Law and Order: Criminal Intent, SVU, and the new LOLA that is coming up this fall.  While SVU is being renewed for a 12th season, CI may be on the rocks and near a sudden cancellation just like the mothership.  And LOLA may not be recieved well by the old L&O fans.  But, I do ask all of you to continue the L&O support by watching these remaining show.  This is all we have left, so let's keep the spirit alive!!

I hope to see some comments about all of your Law and Order stories!!

Performing

Well my friends, this weekend and even this week has been a very busy one!  Going from concerts to radio and TV promotions to class day and then to our 3 performances of 'Bnats Idol'.  It was really a very long and busy journey, but one of the most fun weeks of my life.

Last time, I told you that I would be on TV in an interview.  Well I am!!  It is so exciting at the thought of being on public TV!  You can watch the interview and a clip of the show here

Our first show started Saturday afternoon.  And I'm not gonna lie, it was bad.  It lasted way longer than we though.  We were hoping for a one or one and a half hour show.  This one last two hours and fourty five minutes!  It was really long!  Even people started to leave during it.  Speaking of people, we only had 15 that attended.  It really didn't help with the audience participation and the mood of the show.  And everything that could have went wrong, went wrong during that show.  I was very disappointed in it and didn't want to do the other shows.

After some serious time consumption changes, we did the second show.  And we rocked it!  Everything that went wrong the first time wasn't an issue the second time.  Everything was smooth and we had triple the crowd so that helped with the mood of me and the other performers.

And then we performed this afternoon as well.  And we rocked it as well.  I was sad though to end it.  This is another thing that I must end during my final days as a highschooler.  But you know what, I'm so glad I did it, and I have no regrets!!

I just thought I would stop by real quick before I went to sleep and tell you all of the exciting things that occured.  I hope to write again soon!

Desperate Celebrity Brothers & Sisters

My, what a busy week ahead of me!!  For today, nothing out of the ordinary, but tomorrow starts this crazy whirlwind of stuff that I am planned to do.  No wonder I'm not working any this week!  First off, tomorrow morning I am going with my choral director and my mentor throughout high school to participate in a radio interview for my elite choir's weekend perfomance of 'Bnats Idol' which is a version of the American Idol show.

That following afternoon I am doing a very long afterschool rehersal with my fellow seniors, then performing for our choir's spring show.  On Wed, we have yearbook day, which pretty much takes up most of the day.  Then on Thursday, my group will be on a TV interview which will cover all of the TVs in the area, and I will be performing with my seniors for the Senior Scholarship night.  Friday is a dress rehersal for our weekend shows, and then we have 2 shows on Saturday following one on Sunday.  Really busy!!  I hope I can keep up!

Well who all watched TV last night?  Last night was filled with finales and episodes leading to finales.  Desperate Housewives, The Celebrity Apprentice, and Brothers and Sisters ruled the night with exciting and dramatic episodes that everyone is talking about.

The Celebrity Apprentice took both the 9 and 10 PM slots on NBC, but it didn't disappoint!  We found out the Bret Michaels is in the finale, and will fight for the $250,000 for his charity.  Hopefully he will be well enough to attend it!

Next came Desperate Housewives.  While Susan had to leave the lane and rent her house out, we learn that Paul, from Seasons 1 & 2 is back, and is sure to cause some problems this upcoming season.  Orson leaves Bre after he notices how much of a hypocrit she really is.  Bre sells her company in order to stop Rex's love child from telling about the secret from Andrew's past.  Gabi assists Angie in stopping Pactrick from blowing up the lane, and instead he blows himself up.  And then we find out that Lynette has the baby at Eddy's house, and talks him from turing himself in.

And then the big episode of the night, Brothers and Sisters.  This show always delivers a good episode and once again it does it for a finale like no other.  Saul gets tested for AIDS after finding an old flame on Facebook that is an AIDS activist.  He then gets a call that tells that he is negative.  Kitty must keep campaigning while her husband has an arrhythmia.  Nora, Sara and Holly finally discover the secret to Narrow Lake; Water.  This recent discovery quickly sends the Walker family into money.

While heading to celebrate, Justin and Rebecca notice a major wreck ahead of them.  Turns out that the entire family is involved.  Scotty and Kevin are in a daze, Nora and Sara are unharmed and help look for others.  Holly is severely hurt, and we are unsure of her condition.  Saul is bleeding, and when people come to help him, he keeps them away, revealing that he lied, and he is positive for AIDS.  The show then ends with Kitty and Robert in their ruined SUV.  Robert dies after talking about his fears that he had during the birth of his son.  The finale ends with Kitty yelling for help.

Yes my friends, last night had shows to remember!  I'm sure their ratings were huge, and will only go higher during the premeiers!  I'll be back soon with more news on my week and anything that comes up!

Axed

I know I promised to talk about some of the hottest sites on the net right now, but another topic has come up that I think you would all like to read about.

On Thursday night, or maybe even earlier, we recieved word that the 'Law and Order' mothership series could be at risk of being cancelled.  Most of us really just shrugged it off because we assumed Dick Wolf was still set on making the record, beating 'Gunsmoke' as the longest drama ever aired.

But we found out very quickly that these rumors were in fact true, and the series finale would air May 24th.  Many of the Law and Order fans were in total shock.  Some even have questioned the chances of the fellow Law and Order series, SVU and CI of being on the chopping block as well.  While we are assured that SVU will be renewed for a 12th season, USA Network is still deciding if they will be ordering a 10th season of CI.

We have also learned that the recent decision to get rid of L&O is to make way for Wolf's new idea; Law and Order: LA.  While NBC is excited about putting the mothership in the past and putting LOLA in the future, fans don't think that it will last long.

Even though Criminal Intent remains my favorite one out of the three, it was still a blow to hear that the mothership was leaving.  I also question how well they will send off the show.  Because they have been advertising for 24th air date to be the season finale, not the series.  Which means that they may need to tweak it to give the show a finishing touch.  Otherwise, they may see alot of fans camping out at NBC headquarters all over the country!

What do you think about all of this recent changes?  This isn't the first time this year that we have seen massive changes.  Let's not forget the cast changes of Criminal Intent that has sent fans in an uproar.  So do you think this new change will effect the other shows and potentially the new upcoming show?  Post your comments!

Real World

Don't kill me!  I know I haven't posting lately.  Actually alot.  But come on, surely this gives you something to look forward to.  Maybe I should reopen the Tyler's World Blog twitter so you all can have a little bit of notice when another one of these will be coming out.

As you probably know, I have really been focusing on my new job.  Today, I worked for my 5th day.  Right now I am going at a very easy pace, which is fine with me.  More towards June is when I will really start to work.  But already I have worked with so many people and they are all so great and kind!  It's people like that that makes working even more fun!

Sadly though, my job has really changed my way of activities that I have done for the past 3 years of trying to get a job.  Like ready.  Haha, I know, it is very sad.  But since my job, I haven't read one page!  This really isn't like me.  But what can I say, gotta keep the money rolling in!

Just finished watching Kevin Jonas on the Minute to Win it game.  He sucessfully became the highest competitor of the show in it's history.  And it is really good because all of that money goes to a great charity.  Good job Kevin!!  I'm sure all of his fans were really excited to see him on a game so popular as this!

And the eliminator of tonight's episode of American Idol was just announced as Michael Lynche.  I really wanted Chrystal to go, but we all can't get what we want.  Goodbye Michael, I know we will see you around very soon!!  To be honest, I think anyone was fair game after this horrible theme week!

Speaking of American Idol, it is said that this season has the lowest rating in AI history, even though it was the most watched show of the Tuesday night.  The head people of the show released their first Idol survey.  Some viewers say that Paula Abdul should return, while Ellen should leave.  My personal opinion; I think Kara should go.  She goes way too in depth in her judging.  The show isn't about you Kara, its about the people performing on it!!  Also, I think this is also the worst season we have had, so that may contribute to low ratings.

One show that was not the top show of the night was Law and Order Criminal Intent.  this is what I posted on the USA forum for CI:

"There was no indication that this was the post episode to the Goren/Eames departure. No mention of it being MEM's first episode either.

Now that I got that out of the way; tonight's episode was by far the WORST episode for the CI season, if not for the entire series. I really didn't get it. I lost intrest right after it started and I could never really get into it. I actually kept thinking of Goren/Eames the entire time. You would never think of the G/E team doing a case like this. Compared to last week, this episode was a total failure!

I expect ratings to plummet this week. The good episodes of this season has had record lows, so I can't imagine this episode bringing in new or even old viewers.

If I actually had time, I would rip this whole episode apart on my blog, and talking about how my new fantasy is Nichols getting shot tragically in the season finale and Goren & Eames being rehired for the last two seconds and then end the series on that little bit of a happy ending. At this point, I think anything is possible.

You know what the funny thing is? Right after this episode they have the nerve to run one of Goren's most memorable episodes. What a slap in the face!"
Then later on, after a few posts, I posted this:
"Okay, so last night was not a good night for me to watch tv. American Idol sucked, Glee sucked, and I was filled with disappointment after high expectations for CI, and didn't recieve it.

Maybe the problem was it was out of order. I'm more inclined to think now that it was filmed for an earlier airing date. It makes sense because in the early episodes I didn't really feel a connection with the episode. And I felt that last night. So many USA just needs to keep them in order! "
Are any of you feeling this rage.  Maybe if they kept things in order, we wouldn't be switching from good to bad episodes.

Well guys, I think that is it for today.  Lots of other things were on my mind to talk about today, but I think I have already given you alot to read!  Next time, I'll mention some of the hot websites right now with some of my personal favorite forums!!

Up to Date

Well we now enter May.  Wow how time flies!!  I don't even remember when my last post was about.  But that means alot more to talk about here!!

I mainly haven't posted because of my new job.  I started last Thursday.  I have only worked two days so far, but what I have worked, I have trained.  I'm starting to figure things out nicely.  I'm having a few hard things to deal with here and there, but nothing really to worry about.  I don't work til this Friday, and I feel like it will take forever to get here.  I know, usually people dread going into work, but I just want to make sure that I can do everything perfectly before I get to that point.

Now on to other things.  Did I even mention about last week's episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent?  I don't think so.  Well anyways, it was a really good episode.  The new cast is working better than I thought.  But after really good ratings from two episodes ago, this one dropped to all new lows.  Really bad for this new season.  But I do expect some really good episodes to come, so dont give up yet!!

Siobhan Magnus left the stage last week after her very poor performance of a song by Shania Twain on American Idol.  I mean, seriously, the song was very bad.  It would have been either Chrystal leaving, or her.  And it was her.  Don't get me wrong, I liked her.  I liked her version of 'Paint it Black'.  But it was her time to go.

Delta Goodrem appeared in a performance this week with Andrea Bocelli at his concert in Singapore.  Pictures have been posted throughout twitter, and she looked AMAZING!!  I look forward to hearing more of her traveling and continuing to prepare for a great album in the USA, and around the world!!

Speaking of Delta, her hubby, Brian Mcfadden, was the figure of a new fansite that was released today.  It is Brian Daily.  It a branch, or a version of the Delta Daily site created by Artin, also moderator of the Delta Goodrem official forum.  Artin and Katie, also a member of DGF, launched the new site today.  It looks really good.  Very classy.  It also features a forum.  I think this is the only BF forum up at the moment, so it is really exciting to see it up.  I have joined and am having fun with it.  Good job Artin and Katie!!

Well I think that is all for today!!  I am glad to catch you all up on my recent events and I hope to update soon!!
